Loved our stay. Place was clean and had everything one needs. Close proximity to manitou and Walmart, if you drive to the west. That was a plus for some reason.Didnât see any wildlife but thatâs ok.
We enjoyed our stay at Deer Crossing. The property was as described, clean, and in good condition. We loved the central location to all of the nearby activities. The google directions to the property were a little confusing at first, but figured out quickly how to approach after first visit. The property owners were nearby if needed and easy to communicate with. We wish we had been able to stay longer.
This was our familyâs first time visiting Colorado. The location was perfect to all the attractions in the area but still outside of town and quiet. We loved opening the windows each evening to let the cool air in. The place was a perfect size for us and our 3 young kids. Thank you so much for all the towels for our 5 night stay! The kitchen was very well equipped and our host even gave us fresh chicken eggs for breakfast two separate days! We loved our time at Deer Crossing!
This location was perfect for us to see the local sites we had on our list. It was enough away from the city and towns for quiet and close enough for convenience to grocery stores, gas stations, and laundromat. The outside area was pretty rustic and not really suitable for enjoying the scenery. The space was comfortable for two adults.
We stayed here for our family vacation with a 4 year old and a 1 year old. This property is so kid friendly! A pack n play was provided, there were kids cups/plates/utensils in the kitchen, board games, kids dvds and the entertainment center drawers were full of toys! Not to mention the sandbox and swing available for use outside. The property is clean and well stocked with essentials. The location is excellent, within 30 minutes of most popular attractions and a lot of excellent restaurants. There is a walmart and grocery store just up the road about 5 miles for shopping. The area is very peaceful and safe and the host's house is immediately next door. Communication with the host was excellent, she went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and got the most out of our stay. I highly recommend this property, especially for people with kids!
The property was beautiful! Just the right size for our family of 5. A bunch of movies and games. Even toys for the littlest ones. Wildlife comes by twice a day. The place had everything we needed to cook meals. Location was also good. Short enough to get into Colorado Springs and a gorgeous drive to the mountains for skiing.
Deer's Crossing is everything we could have hoped for and more. Its foothill location is quiet and beautiful, yet close to town. The kitchen and bathroom are so well stocked, and it is relaxing to simply stay in. Our host Janice is kind and communicative, always ensuring we were well cared for.
We enjoyed the cabin as a quiet place to unwind after busy days at a family reunion and to keep up with working remotely.
The property is clean, welcoming, fully stocked, and the views of the mountainside are lovely.
Thank you for a great stay.
Our views were amazing. We stayed during Thanksgiving, & Christmas. It was nicely decorated with fall leaves & pumpkins when we arrived. Our stay was 1 month so Janice gave us options on when to have them come in & clean. We spent the day in Colorado Springs and when we came back, they had it beautifully decorated for Christmas. The kitchen was very well stocked & bathroom was fully stocked with towels & everything needed. The guest house was easy to find just off HWY 24 close to Woodland Park and Colorado Springs. Thanks for making our stay a good experience.
We loved Deer Crossing. The host thought of everything and was very helpful and responsive. The location is secluded but close to all the things to do in the area! Highly recommend.
This was a great little place to stay. There was plenty of room and it was well furnished. Great location, close to all the major attractions. Highly recommend.
The owners gave privacy but yet I knew they were available. Very caring people. The property is clean, cozy and well stocked with everything verything we could possibly need
We could not have been happier with the property. The owner made it even better...she had a bottle of wine waitning for us and even dropped off some extra treats...what a kind gesture. We would definitely stay here again
This cabin was perfect for our Christmas Family vacation! It was a beautiful, clean and cozy cabin that was stocked with everything we needed plus some. The location was in a perfect location for all of the Christmas things we went to. Janice was always available if we needed anything or had any questions, such a wonderful and sweet host. We will definitely be back!
We LOVED our stay at Deer Crossing. Janice is a fabulous host and made our stay so easy. The cabin was even more spacious than I expected and is very well stocked (with several items we didnât even think about!). The kids loved the bunk bed and were so excited by the sâmores welcome basket she left for us. The cabin was a quiet & comfortable retreat after a long day of adventures. By the end of our stay, the cabin really felt like home. We highly recommend Janice & Deer Crossing.
Very cozy and wonderful place to stay. Location was perfect and easy to get to multiple attractions. My girls loved the window seats. We were a family of 6 and did not feel too cramped. Owner was easy to communicate with.
Sterling and Janice are Colorado natives. Sterling's family homesteaded in Green Mountain Falls in 1888 and have lived in this area ever since. There isn't anything he doesn't know about this area. Just ask him! Janice and Sterling both graduated from Manitou High School in the 1970's. We both have extensive family living in this area.
Sterling is a custom home builder, as was his father, and his grandfather. He owns Penman Construction and Properties with his brother. They work extensively in Green Mountain Falls and the Colorado Springs area. They have been in business for over 50 years. Sterling built Deer Crossing personally for your enjoyment. We built our home, which is next door, in 1997. We love this piece of land and the awesome views it affords.
