Great accommodation

This condo resort is clean, spacious, and had all the things we needed. We had a great time. Beach across the street is a major plus.

Great location and amenities

We enjoyed the property immensely - especially the pool. It has a large shallow end *and* deep end for little and big kids alike. Our kids became fishes over the week. Great central location in a laid-back part of town.

Extended family getaway

We had a blast! Love Maui, and love that we were able to find and affordable place to accommodate our 2 families. We will definitely stay again!

Clean, Comfortable, Conveniently Located

We enjoyed our stay at this property. We were just across the street from the beach, making it easy and accessible. Our hosts provided all manner of beach gear, and towels to enhance our visit. It was a comfortable space, even with 8 adult family members.

Amazing condo

We loved our stay at the Koa Resort! The property was beautiful and the pool and hot tub were amazing and the property managers were also amazing with very quick and helpful responses. We also appreciated the welcome basket very much! We had a large family and the condo accommodated us perfectly. Overall we loved our stay here and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect place.

Was a great place to stay with family. The pool and hot tub are great and located Centrally. Was never busy. The beach across the road has a great area sheltered from the large waves. Quite time was respected. A little noisy in the morning as people leave for excursions.

Perfect for our family!

Overall a perfect property for a family. The inside was very modern and clean. There was a well stocked kitchen, a great balcony to enjoy and beds for everyone. The condo area had a great spot for BBQ and some games and the pool area was great for the kids. Very quiet area and well maintained. It's location is a good walk away from shops and restaurants so we ended up driving almost everywhere, but it's a very short car ride to everything you need. Highly recommended for anyone with a larger group or even 2 families!

Amazing!!

This is our 2nd time in this condo, we came back because we loved it so much! There were 10 of us and we had plenty of room. It was so nice to check in and find treats/snacks waiting for us! We all loved the pool and there is a great outdoor BBQ area. We love the location in Kihei as it is near our favorite beaches, and it was just a short walk to the beach for sunset pictures. Thank you!!

Maui birthday celebration

Very nice and comfortable unit. Easy access getting out and about. Lovely pool area, but super windy at times. More deck chairs would be nice. Mahalo for the yummy welcome basket. White notebook with general info needs to be updated. Front screen door won’t latch without locking it from the inside. Overall, a great place to stay. Mahalo nui loa.

Enjoyable stay

Pretty much exactly what was expected by the description and price. Nice property, well appointed, lots of beds and bunking options, solid amenities. Decent kitchen though it could be a little better stocked especially with glasses/mugs, and we wished it had a rice cooker. Parking lot was just adjacent, no long walks, big stalls for SUVs or trucks and plenty of room to pull up and load. Additional parking on the street right outside the parking lot but as it gets late it will get filled up. Great location right near the beach but also everything you could want or need in Kihei is within a short distance. Lew was responsive enough to messages, not a whole lot of questions weren't answered in the welcome information!

Great place to stay

My family and several friends stayed for 2 weeks. It's only short 25 minute or so drive from the airport and parking is easy with large a parking lot. We found it to be more or less as it was portrayed in the photos. Clean and ready for us. it was spacious enough and slept us all comfortably. The property manager was easy to work with and responded quickly to inquiries. we had zero hassles. There are beautiful beaches just across the street and the pool makes a great place to chill out at the end of the day. There is a Gazebo with a ping pong table, fooseball table, tables chairs, and BBQ's. We often would make use of the BBQ's and it gave us a great place to visit with some of our other friends that were staying in another unit. It really is a pretty great place that offers a lot of amenities at a great price.

Not too shabby

This is an above average location and property in Kihei. We were not that impressed with the condo or the beach area that is close by. The Condo does have some upgraded technology (wifi, Smart TV, AC) and everything worked as advertised, however seems a bit "lived in" and not as clean as we would have liked. We were able to fit all 8 family members which was appreciated but the building itself is not very modern. The pool and hot tub were ok and the activity room with BBQ's was also decent. I just expected a bit more from a place in Maui. Won't stay here again but don't let that stop you if you want to be in Kihei and not Wailea or Kanapali

Nice condo in a quaint community

Really liked the condo! Maui books and art are displayed around the unit. The kitchen is stocked with utensils to make your own meals. The property has many geckos, lovely grounds (many flower bushes), grills, parking, and a pool. Beds are comfy. Closet had beach chairs and a cooler available. Host was very responsive when we needed him. Easy walk to a beach. Notes: --Does not have AC. There are multiple fans, but it did get pretty warm in the afternoon. --Couldn't get the oven to open --Seems like a good rental for families --Plenty of towels --Property has strict rules (no hanging towels or anything from the lanai, quiet hours, etc) but most are common sense/courtesy.

Just perfect

I don’t know where to begin. The host I guess. He was incredibly kind and really helpful. He went above and beyond in our unique situation even though he didn’t have to. I couldn’t be thankful enough. On to the unit. It was super clean, and exactly as described. It was very well stocked with beach chair and sand toys to all the pots and pans you’d need. Beds were comfy and my two girls (5 and 8) loved the bunk beds. It was more than spacious enough. I really have 0 complaints. Will definitely stay here again if it’s available for our next trip. The grounds were very well kept and the pool area is perfect. The pool varies from 2’ to 9’ in depth. The hot tub quickly turned into a fantastic meeting spot to make new friends and share our experiences. We had 5 very rare and unfortunate days of rain during our 8 nights stay. But it didn’t slow us down. Pool was open rain or shine. All in all we had a fantastic experience. Thanks Lew!

A Kihei Keepsake!

I have to admit we fell in love with this place just by reading the owner's overview...we pictured ourselves fitting into their daily program perfectly! This condo was clean, up-to-date, and a comfortable fit for our family of 9 (6 adults, 2 toddlers & an infant). We enjoyed the open concept main living area, the large lanai and the lush tropical landscaping. The owner's comment, "the pool is probably one of the coolest kid pools in Maui" could not be more true!!! Our kids had a blast there! Other conveniences worth noting include the seamless Wi-Fi and in-suite laundry. We were impressed by our dealings with the owner and are already making recommendations to friends about this particular unit. On a side note, some of the other Koa resident owners came across as unfriendly. At times we felt unwelcome and we were shocked by the rude and disrespectful behaviour of the Koa property manager. However, since our communication with the condo owner was so positive we didn't want our interactions with the other residents to affect our review of this unit. :) Highlights for us included surfing and paddle boarding at Kalama Beach (be prepared to spot sea turtles) and lazy beach days at Kalepolepo Park (a couple minutes' walk from condo) - perfect for body boarding, whale watching, sunbathing and observing kite boarders! We loved the food and entertainment at the Grand Wailea Luau. We also enjoyed a delicious meal of Mahi mahi and coconut shrimp at Stella Blues Cafe and appreciated the convenience of shopping for groceries and spirits at the local Safeway. Mahalo Gabe, Esina, Oceana & Indie for providing us with the perfect family setting for our Maui Christmas vacation!!!

Great place for families

We just stayed at the unit for 2 weeks in May and had an awesome time! Great location, the kids loved the pool and we used the bbq area a lot (there was 10 of us staying in 2 units). The pool and bbq area were always quiet and we almost saw no one there. The unit is functional and worked well for us (parents, 2 young girls and in-laws). We appreciated the unit being so close to the parking lot which made it easy for hauling stuff back and forth from the car. The downside of being so close to the parking lot in the warmer months when all the windows are open, is that you do get a lot of vehicle noise and people talking at all hours of the night (I’m a light sleeper). We found the fans in the unit worked adequately to keep the place cool. We had other family staying in another unit which was air-conditioned and you do notice the difference but we were never uncomfortable (except for maybe the loft bedroom on occasion). The shower downstairs could really do with a replacement. The other odd thing was the wood floors in the living room and downstairs bedroom have expanded so much that they are lifting of the floor in some parts. A little annoying as it feels like you walking over little hills all the time. I would really get rid of the wood floors and put down tile. The sofa in living room has to be the most uncomfortable sofa ever! Be warned sitting down too hard on the sofa can lead to a serious bruised bum. We found the owners to generally be pretty good about responding to emails or phone calls. We never did get a map of Koa resort that we asked for 3 times. And Gabe responded to one of our emails the day we left but otherwise unit information, door access codes and internet codes were received in a timely manner. All in all we loved the place and would absolutely choose to go back there again.

Nice stay in Kihei

This was a nice place for 10 of us to gather for a week on Maui. We did spend days driving, doing day trips to see other areas and towns. The kids always liked coming “home” to the pool.

Vacation wedding

Fabulous, great location, food in the area was great, little shops were special. The iron is broken, maybe some touch up painting needs to be done, but otherwise thank you very much!!
