had not been cleaned or stayed in for several months judging by the cobwebs and dirty fridge and stove. sheets had not been changed on beds nor had dirty towels been removed from the bathroom. outside had not been maintained.

Lake holiday

The lake and the beautiful park at the end of the street were more than I expected my four-year-old and nine-year-old nieces thoroughly enjoyed. It was a vacation. I will never forget.

Peaceful & Warming stay

Chloe is a God sent. We ended up staying longer than expected and she was the most kind and understanding host. She went out of her way multiple times to accommodate us and our family. The house is in such a convenient location from town, school, the beach, playground. Our dogs loved the fenced in back yard. Our toddler loved the U shape of the downstairs. She would run the same track everyday all day. Our older kids loved the whole upstairs being an open floor space. They felt like they had their own big living room up there and it’s extremely roomy. It matches the coziness of the entire house. If we ever needed a temporary home again in Decatur, Chloe would be the first person I would call. Absolutely 10/10 in our books!! Definitely recommend. Would stay here again, in a heart beat. You don’t find hosts or landlords that go above and beyond for their tenants and then still try and give more. She is a pure blessing!!

Dog Show Quests

The fenced in yard was great. The gnomes outside made the home so inviting. Owner was so nice and ready if we had any problems. Which there was no problems with our stay. Everything was great and the neighbors around us all had dogs and very nice. Nice place to stay with a lake at the end of street. Recommend to others to stay here.

Gnome Home Weekend

The Gnome Home is a cute little house in a nice and quiet neighborhood. We mainly hug out in the back yard at the picnic table and chairs. Our son loved the air hockey, arcade game, and chalk board. The house was set up with all the amenities on the listing, and everything was in great condition.

I was born and raised in rural Michigan in a small house between the cows and the corn. I find a lot of joy showing guests the pleasant small town atmosphere that Decatur brings by renting out my quaint little cottage. I hope to bring many families a lot of bright memories they can keep with them forever.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

What I fell in love with, and what I hope you will fall in love with too, is the close knit community within Decatur. You will see neighbors walking over to chat with each other, you will see kids playing on the street, and you will see golf carts driving about in the summer. This is a fantastic summer town that can be enjoyed by all. The entire town feels like a campground.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

What makes my property unique is it is budget friendly vs the benefits you're still receiving. Although it is not necessarily a lakefront property, you can still enjoy a subtle view of the lake from the front yard. The beach is a very short walk and an even shorter drive and is free to use so you are not out of the summer lake experience. You have the benefits of a fenced yard so your pets and your children can roam free with minimal supervision. I have a tree swing, small children's clubhouse, and you can also enjoy the fruit when it's harvest time! We have a golden delicious apple tree and grape vines growing right in the backyard.
