This is our second stay and we have already booked next year. The house is clean and has everything you need. The location is just far enough out of the way but central to many amenities & restaurants. If you are looking for rest and relaxation look no further!!!
We absolutely loved this property. It was so peaceful and well kept. We were able to enjoy cooking meals with our friends and just relax together. We already rebooked for next year!
This is our second stay at this property. It is nice and quiet and it has a lovely view.
The Trevett General Store is an easy walk-to and Boothbay Harbor and its stores is a easy drive.
The kitchen has many utensils and cookware so making meals was easy. The hosts are gracious.
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. It was well stocked with anything you would need. The home was perfect for our girls trip. Plenty of space. Absolutely gorgeous setting. Very quiet. The hosts, Mark & Beverly, were very quick to respond to any questions we had. It was such a good experience, we are looking to book it again for next year.
Perfect Fall Weather, Wonderful Sunrise and Sunset Views. Property is on a Tidal Estuary with many beautiful photo opportunities. Private Setting, Safe and Secure. Beautiful and Welcoming Area. Convenient to Boothbay, and many historic sites, Great location for biking, walking or hiking. The home is exceptional, very clean and fully stocked with all necessities we required. The open architecture design of the livingroom, kitchen, and eat-in dining area are all lined with ~7 ft high windows and two sliding doors spanning the full width of the home and rear deck area overlooking the water. The home owner was very pleasant, and responsive to our questions and knowledgable of the area's history. When in the Boothbay area, there is no better place we would choose to stay.
This is one of the best places Iâve stayed at renting through VRBO and Iâve stayed in a lot of houses. I almost donât want people to find it so I can rent it again. Ha ha.
It is older and the furniture is a bit low to the ground for older people. But itâs comfortable, quiet, on the water spot that is just ideal for relaxing. Itâs about a 10 minute drive into Boothbay Harbor which is fine. Itâs down a nice dead end road so thereâs no traffic and hardly any neighbors to see. My dogs and I thoroughly enjoyed the peace. And the big front yard. Thereâs also a nice deck to sit on and enjoy the views.
We had an amazing stay. What more can you ask for when you have a horse as a neighbor. The view was beautiful with the tide constantly going out and coming back in. The flowers were blooming, the hummingbird was around, several other species of birds were making their presence known. We saw the eagle fly over and swooped a fish right out of the water. The opspreyâs nest was near by so one mate was in the trees eating fish then taking it to the nest. We saw a deer with her fawn near the waters edge.
The house had everything you needed. Extra pillows and blankets are always great to have. Very clean.
We felt like we did not want even leave to sightsee.
Eating meals at the dinning room table facing the water was in itself a treat.
We honestly felt like we were at our place in upper Wisconsin Minus the Lobster traps and changing tides.
Six of us enjoyed a beautiful Fall weekend at this property. We had deer pass through the yard & saw herons, an eagle and lots of ducks.
It is a quiet spot, very private, great views, clean, comfortable, close to everything in Boothbay.
We loved sitting on the deck watching the activity on the water.
I recommend this property.
The house is lovely, the view is spectacular, and the location is ideal for touring. We visit Maine every year and this is one of the best spots weâve had!
This home is magical. Even our friends from Southport, who have their own water view, commented on the tranquility of the place. My wife and I loved to watch as the tide rose and fell and the lights across the way began to shine. Kayaking from Knickercane was a breeze. The country store next to the bridge was a convenient savior. We canât wait to return.
The view from this home is incredible!! The home is absolutely beautiful and very clean. What a great place to relax and soak in such peaceful scenery. We loved it! The owners were so easy to keep in contact with any questions we had. Thanks again Beverly & Mark for sharing your peice of paradise!
We stayed at Mark and Beverly's place to enjoy the changing leaves and Fall weather. The house is located at the end of a lane and surrounded by nature. You can sit on the back deck and watch the tide come in, the boats trawling through and the birds feeding. The home is spacious with plenty of room to spread out. We loved our time here!
Hosts easy to work with ⊠beautiful property with all the amenities one could hope for. Location perfect for family getaway. Close enough to lots of activities but very private abs quiet⊠highly recommend
We could not have been more pleased with this rental. Not only is it a lovely home in a lovely location, Beverly could not have been more attentive. An overall wonderful experience and we thank our hosts for the opportunity.
Stayed for the weekend, beautiful house and property. The back deck was so peaceful with the shady coverage and view of the inlet. The living room with it's wall of windows brought the peace of the outdoors in. Very nice.
This house has been in the family since 1990 and we have been enjoying it immensely ever since. We value the peacefulness of the location as well as the availability of walks, concerts, boating, public library with its locally famous used bookstore and many, many other activities. When our children were young we all enjoyed the local Railway Village with train rides, animals and an antique car museum. We have also loved exploring other beautiful towns and state parks along the Maine coast and inland from this home base including; Bradford State Park (walking trails and mountain biking available) and Reid State Park (on the ocean with beach and a large 'tidal' pool that is great for small children.) Inland we have visited Moosehead Lake and the surrounding area; explored the paper company roads and canoed down a stretch of the Penobscot River.
