Taylor House

The Taylor House is bright and newly renovated, with original single pane windows, original wood floors (please don’t bring a level), 9’ ceilings, all the charm of a historic home with all the modern conveniences. Contemporary Kitchen, gas cooktop/oven, ceiling fans in all the bedrooms, three smart TV’s, Wi-Fi, new LG washer/dryer. Fenced in back garden to enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails.
One King bedroom, One Queen bedroom and the third bedroom has two twin beds. Two full bathrooms, one with a beautifully restored claw tub, the 2nd with a completely updated tile walk in shower plus a convenient ½ bathroom.
There is plenty of free street parking on the street and 2 spots in front of the house.

Location –
The Taylor House is on a safe, beautiful cobblestone street, surrounded by sprawling oak trees and beautiful historic homes. Walk two blocks to the start of the award-winning Cape Fear Riverfront with countless restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, breweries, wine bars, museums and shops along the way. Also, Chandlers Wharf is only two blocks aways with more restaurant options. The heart of downtown is an 8 minute walk.

Drive to North Carolina’s famous Wrightsville beach (11 miles) or Carolina Beach (16 miles) in 20 minutes. We are 5 miles from ILM airport.

Pets are welcome with a fee, please include pets in booking.

Wonderful house in a great location

We are a sales group that needed a get away to regroup for a couple of days. The Young house was beyond perfect. It is bigger than the pictures online and everything was clean and well stocked. Very short walk to the river walk area with a lot of restaurants and coffee houses

The host has truly thought of everything. The house is beautiful and has plenty of amenities. We were a group of four in town for a wedding, so it was nice for everyone to have their own bed, and having 2.5 bathrooms was a huge plus. The location was perfect for us, we always found street parking right out front, and the neighborhood was quiet and felt safe.

Prime Location

Truly enjoyed this well appointed vacation stay. Listing details are 100% accurate and it was a pleasure working with the host. Our family visits Wilmington quite a lot and if you are looking for a place in the downtown area with or without pets, this is the best place to be!

Weekend away

Great property and great location! This house was great for our family of 6- beds were comfortable, rooms were spacious and bathrooms get very clean! Everything was set up so neatly when we arrived and the design/decor for the entire place is perfect! Would definitely recommend this spot to friends!

The coziest spot!

We stayed here for a friends' reunion and thoroughly enjoyed our time! Street parking made it convenient for the couple of times we had to make grocery runs, but for the most part we were able to walk everywhere from the house. We had more than enough space for 4 ladies, and loved lounging in the sitting areas, cooking on the gas grill, and getting ready together in the biggest bathroom. Every detail was meticulously thought out, and it made it feel like home away from home! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The BEST location

Visited with my husband and two adult daughters joined us for a few days each. Girls loved being able to walk everywhere! In our ten day visit, we were able to walk to multiple fantastic coffee shops, out for dinner every night, yoga class, spa day, walked to church and to a show at Thalian Hall. We look forward to staying again!I’m an experienced VRBO user and bring an emergency kit with me. I didn’t need any of my supplies because the Taylor House had everything we needed.

Perfect place to stay!

The Taylor House had everything we needed and more. The hosts even left homemade, yummy cookies and a sweet note to greet us. The Christmas tree was a beautiful touch since we arrived on the 26th after driving 12 hours. Needless to say, our Christmas at home was a bit rushed so this was nice a relaxing. We were able to walk to many of our events as we were in town for a family wedding. We all enjoyed the stay and even our dog was welcomed which we greatly appreciated! Great neighborhood and great house! Well done and would stay again!

Taylor House Long Weekend

The house was wonderful. It was historically furnished, clean and had all of the necessary amenities including tangible, intangible, personal, etc. Very roomy yet cozy, well decorated with an outdoor private space. The location was perfect, situated inside of the historic district, with a short three block walk to the river and a few more blocks to the historic downtown along the river. There were no negative issues with the property or its location. It was a great stay for the four adults and one infant.

Wedding Week at The Taylor House

We stayed at the Taylor House for my son's wedding week. This is a very well appointed home in a great location to everything in Wilmington. It has all the modern conviences with historial character. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, plenty of linens and the kitchen was top notch. The little extras the owners provided really make this home stand home out. We felt at home during our stay and that is rare for a rental. I would 100% stay at The Taylor House again. Actually already thinking of booking a Girl's weekend in the spring.

Girls Trip

I went to Wilmington on a girls trip and I have to say I have NEVER stayed at a VRBO whose owner was this detailed oriented. Truly the house had everything - laudry soap if you needed it, a whole coffee station that included syrup for your coffee, a full size hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers. PLENTY of NICE towels and linens, and chocolates on the beds when arrived. Perfect location to walk to everywhere. I would give it a 15 out of 10!! It truly was a great house!!!

Beautiful historic home with great location

I am so happy I picked this house for our stay in Wilmington for the weekend. It had everything we needed and more. I think it was newly renovated because everything looked very new. We had plenty of nice towels, lots of kitchen supplies, coffee, shampoo, and spices. I could go on. The beds were very comfortable with nice sheets and bedding. The rooms are upstairs so you do need to be able to climb stairs. The patio was nice to have a drink and enjoy the smell of flowers everywhere. It is walking distance to lots of great shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

Girls weekend

We enjoyed our stay at the Taylor House. Adrienne was very accommodating and readily available for anything we needed. She made sure we were taken care of and was great with communicating! The home was decorated beautifully and everything was very clean and comfortable.
