We had the most lovely stay at Sweet Oyster. The house was in beautiful shape and it felt brand new! Everything from the front yard, backyard with patio firepit, fully stocked kitchen, gorgeous decor and cozy living room made our trip extra special. The location was perfect and we couldn't have asked for more! Thank you so much.

We had an amazing stay at this property! The house was gorgeous, clean and peaceful. The front porch has a view of the pond which was so enjoyable to just relax on. We size of the home was perfect and our dog also had a great time in the completely fenced in property (including the front!). The property owners were so easy to work with. I would give 10 stars for everything if I could. Truly exceeded expectation!!

Sweet stay at Sweet Oyster

Charming home walking distance to downtown shopping and restaurants, groceries, drug store minutes away. Lots of decorating details that we appreciated - very beachy. Great for families.

This property was exactly as described. It was clean and in excellent condition, and the location was perfect. Every thoughtful amenity was provided, and the decorating was a constant delight. The only negative with this property is that you will be spoiled for future rentals.

Can I live here forever?

This was BY FAR the most beautiful property I have ever had the privilege of staying. Ed was amazing and very comunicative. The location cannot be beat. A short walk to Main Street. Right around the corner from a grocery store. And steps from Oyster Pond. We spent Easter weekend with our family and a few of my children’s friends (my kids go to college in Boston. It was a fantastic break from the city for them and their friends). The fenced in yard was perfect for our Boston Terrier who travelled with us and for an egg hunt too! The house is stocked with anything and everything you could want. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and look forward to doing so.

Perfect Escape in Chatham

We enjoyed our stay at the Sweet Oyster House so much we wish we could have stayed longer! The location is perfect, a quick walk to town and surrounding beaches, plus views of Oyster Pond! The house itself is absolutely stunning both inside and out. The yard is beautifully maintained and fenced in, which was perfect for our dog. Inside is tastefully decorated keeping true to the traditional Cape Cod look and creating a very cozy feel, especially with the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit. The house was spotless upon arrival and in perfect condition, especially the kitchen and bathrooms! The listing photos do not do this property justice, it really is more stunning in person. Checkin was effortless. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and in constant communication when we had questions. The Sweet Oyster House was truly the perfect escape for our off season trip and we would love to visit again soon!

Great week on the Cape!

The Sweet Oyster House was perfect for our trip with our adult children. It has been beautifully renovated and everything was clean and perfect upon our arrival. The owner, Ed, was there when we arrived (we were a little early) so we had a chance to speak with him. He was so warm and welcoming and it really set the tone for a great stay. We walked to Oyster Pond and enjoyed the warm water for swimming and kayaking. Depending on what we were doing, we would either walk or drive into downtown Chatham and never found parking to be a problem.The beds and furniture were comfortable. Even though it was warm we enjoyed sitting around the fire pit one evening. The outdoor shower was great for rinsing off after a trip to the beach. The indoor showers were beautiful and had good water pressure. We didn't do any cooking but loved the retro-themed appliances in the kitchen. We rented bikes from Wheelhouse Bike Company (in walking distance), enjoyed a fun evening at Shakespeare in the Park (we saw The Tempest), ate at many great eating spots (Mom & Pops Burgers and Thoreau's at Wequassett were two favorites) and finished three jigsaw puzzles (which came with the house!). It was a great week!

Magical vacation

What a special house! The experience was 10/10 from start to finish. The house is located so convenient to town and beaches and the house itself is so special. The owners went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The house itself is decorated beautifully and the beds are super comfortable! Can’t recommend enough.

Ed and his wife, Kathy, split their time between their home in Connecticut and their home in Chatham with their two college aged sons. They encourage their guests to learn more about Chatham and Cape Cod preservation & conservation of the precious natural resources of this beautiful region as well as helping to educate tourists in the remarkable history of this community. Lastly, their hospitality business seeks to help sustain the economic viability of local fisherman, contractors, businesses and year-round residents that heavily depend upon a tourism-driven economy within this region.
