We truly loved our stay at this vintage Cape Cod house. Quaint and well-maintained it was comfortable with well-appointed bedrooms and common rooms that had classic Cape charm. We appreciated the walkable neighborhood and access to the waterfront, as well as nearby Chatham downtown. Owners were helpful and responsive.
Great week on the cape. House is spacious yet cozy. Rustic and full of charm yet all the modern conveniences are there. Beautiful neighborhood and blue hydrangeas everywhere! We rented bikes for the weekâŠ..perfect since lighthouse beach is 1.3 miles and town about 2 miles. Used our car daily for drop offs at the beach, dinner etc. giant yard for outdoor use, covered back porch with table, roof deck, lots of lounge chairs. Harbor beach area 2 min down the road for morning walks with our dog who canât get enough of swimming and retrieving her ball. Great communication with host before and during the trip as needed.
This is a great place for a family to stay to experience an old time Cape Cod experience. The house is old Cape colonial dating more than 200 years old with a huge yard and ocean views. We all gave the accommodations an A+++!
Thank you very much for our wonderful family vacation! The house was everything we had hoped for and more. (Beautiful property with a magnificent yard, a very Spacious and comfortable home, large well equipped kitchen and lovely outside seating.) The location is perfect- Close to the beaches, shops and restaurants
Many Thanks,
Sharon and Family
Location is gorgeous and plenty of choices of things to do for the day . The house was homey and quaint and comfortable . There were ten of us one evening and we were comfortable in the house ! We also had an easy time connecting with the owner . A great place to relax and enjoy Chatham .
My friends and I enjoyed our time at Tomâs Chatham home! He was great communicating up until the trip and even sent a reminder before our last check out day. Upstairs is cozier than advertised and steep steps, be careful if younger children or those that have a hard time walking up and down stairs.
We loved our stay on Champlain road. Excellent location and a home that is the quintessence of old cape cod. The house has some years on it and it shows in some areas but it is also what makes this house so charming. We loved the painted floors, the outdoor porch and yard and you can feel the love of many generations of families who have enjoyed this property. As a lifelong cape codder, this is it. Weâll be back!
We were very pleased overall. The owner has obviously worked hard to maintain such an old residence in very good working order. All of the amenities (appliances, TV's, Wi-Fi/ internet, AC, furnace, plumbing) were in working order and the place was well stocked w/ all of the necessities a family would require for cooking and eating in home. Good written documentation of the functionality of everything in the house. The location is unbeatable being near the downtown village, beaches, great walking & hiking, and all of the activity on Stage Harbor.
We had the loveliest week at this charming house! Our family took full advantage of the stunning yard and played kickball, paddle ball, and wiffle ball! We enjoyed meals and picnics on the back patio, spent hours reading our books outside as we enjoyed breathtaking views. Itâs a short, beautiful walk to the harbor. The outdoor shower was a hit with our family as was the pedestal tub inside. We had plenty of space for our family in the bedrooms and common space. The house is so well stocked for cooking in the kitchen! We took advantage and cooked family meals most nights! I truly hope our family will return to this beautiful home!
We had a great time at 209 Champlain Rd. The weather wasnât great for our week so having a home that was comfortable was awesome as we spent more time at âhomeâ than we otherwise would have. The kitchen is large and functional, yard is awesome, beds were comfortable and living room really comfortable. Everything worked except a lamp in one of the bedrooms. Having our four legged family members with us was priceless. â€ïž
Shared this sweet home with a group of six girlfriends. We were all able to have our own bedroom and sharing the two bathrooms was never an issue. We loved the simple charm and coziness of all the rooms. Cooking together is big for us and we found all the supplies needed for any meal. One of the favorite spots was on the rooftop deck for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. Very private yard with lounge chairs and hammocks. A lovely area for long walks. The vote was unanimous.... we would love to return!
Renting the cottage was a mixed experience. The beach is about a 10-minute drive away, which wasn't ideal for traveling with a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old. Although the cottage is fairly close to Main Street, it's still not within walking distance. The cottage itself was disappointing in terms of cleanliness, with dirty rugs, walls, and floors. Additionally, the lack of central air conditioning made sleeping uncomfortable on particularly warm days, though there were plenty of fans available. Despite these drawbacks, we made the most of our stay.
This house was so wonderful. The home was picturesque and so comfortable for our family. The host was just so easy and we had such a fabulous vacation largely thanks to this special home. Go you wonât regret it. It is such a special home.
Great time and great weather in Chatham this week. Short 5 minute rides to beach and downtown Chatham. Big yard for lawn games too. Tom stayed in contact and responded to questions promptly. Would rent the house again!
Wonderful week in Chatham in this charming home. We were 8 adults, a 16 month old and one old dog and there was plenty of room for all. Huge yard to play games and secluded back yard for relaxing. And the tennis court access was a huge bonus. Beautiful location and 5-10 minutes away from everything. Home had everything we needed to cook meals and gather in cozy kitchen. Wonderful memories! Thank you Tom!
Had a very nice time, The only complaint would be the Wi-Fi. A couple of the people that were coming had to leave early because the Wi-Fi didnât work and they were unable to work from home theyâre
Picture perfect Cape home--lovely, antique shingled house, 5 nice sized bedrooms(6th good for young kids), 2 living areas(perfect because 2 in our group had to work part of the time, and they were able to spread out), really nice deck off the master bedroom that we all enjoyed, and kitchen with everything you might need. Beautiful grounds, access to tennis court on neighboring property, and 2 minute walk to beach for walking/dogs. We walked to town each morning(35 minutes one way) and you can walk to Lighthouse Beach for swimming but 30 minutes can be a bit long in the heat or with kids/beach chairs, etc. Also, great area for biking..the 6 of us had a fantastic week together, and look forward to returning next year!
