Our home is located in the desirable Southside neighborhood of Chicago. The area is known for its vibrant culture, diverse dining scene, and easy access to popular city attractions. The property is situated just a short distance from the University of Chicago, making it an excellent location for academics or professionals working there. The area is also home to various parks, including Washington Park, which offers outdoor recreation and events.

We have statues at this location multiple times and have enjoyed it each time. The location is close to everything and is a very walkable neighborhood. The owner is responsive and very helpful!

Great Hyde Park Option

We truly enjoyed our stayed and will be back next month. The host/owner responds quickly to questions and is a great resource. The neighborhood is safe and many shops and restaurants are easily walkable. The only option is street parking but we did not have trouble finding a spot when needed.

Cute apartment in Chicago

This apartment is in a quiet, safe building in very walkable Hyde Park.. Lots of space & comfy beds. Owner is very responsive.

Great location, big apartment

The location is great if you are attending an event at the UChicago. The apartment is big and bright. A couple of small issues - the paint in the shower (the tiles were painted over!) is peeling and falling off while you shower and the cleaning needs to be a little more thorough with the floor boards. The biggest problem was the heat. It is a radiator system. I am sure it works great when the building people actually turn it on, but it was not on when we were there. It was 39 degrees outside, with absolutely no heat, There was only one extra blanket, which didn’t really help our whole family. You can turn your individual radiator on, but if the building hasn’t turned them on, it does nothing. I would recommend double checking with the landlord before going when the weather is colder than 50.

Classic Chicago

Quiet neighborhood, Whole foods is nearby, and other neat places within walking distance, food, coffee and even a hardware store, the place was spacious as the ad indicates, and definitely has character, you need to remember this is an older building so enjoy the charm of it, the wood floors creek a bit, and in the winter time the cast iron Radiators make the typical sound that they have been making since they have been in use, this is an older 3rd story home so don't complain about the stairs, we felt safe and secure in the building, ride-share services arrive quickly, I hope to visit again and will try to stay in this location again, the Host is an AMAZING communicator, and frankly made this my best VRBO stay since I have been using the platform.

Nice stay

This house was perfect for our long weekend in Chicago. It was not too far from downtown. Parking was a struggle though. During the day it is very hard to find a spot. There are plenty of good options within walking distance and a Target near by. As for the apartment if you are physically disabled or have a hard time with stairs this isn’t the place for you. It’s a 3 story walk up. The living room and kitchen area were very nice and spacious, the rooms are spacious as well. Cleaning in the bathrooms and bedrooms could have been better. The bathrooms were not well cleaned and the tubs were visibly dirty. There were no extra sheets or blankets just a bunch of pillows which was inconvenient. Other than that the location was nice and quiet if the cleaning was better I’d stay again.

Great stay in Hyde Park

It was great to have a space where friends could spent quality time and still easily walk to the University of Chicago campus. The unit was very pleasant with plenty of light and nice furnishings. The bathrooms are dated with peeling paint and lower pressure shower heads, but seemed clean. There is only one set of keys. The heating is via radiators, which do make the expected hissing noises. The wood floors are creaky and there are only stairs to reach the 3rd floor. For us, the unit was reminiscent of apartments we lived in during our student years, but definitely nicer.

Great place for a Hyde Park stay

Apartment is spacious, very clean, and beds were very comfy. Great communication from the owner. Excellent location for a visit to Hyde Park. Next time we're in town, we'll definitely stay again.
