First of all the pictures online depicted something other than the visibly old property. There was nothing there I would consider "penthouse" and it was just 3 bedrooms with an ok living area with kitchen. The elevator was a hot mess and only one available for the entire property during peak season (July 14th - 16th). The area next to the elevator reeked of urine and one from the property cared to cleanup. Parking is non-existent and probably safer outside in the streets. The pool was dirty and had floating debris in it. The a/c unit was borderline cool and felt weak at the hottest time of the day. Overall for the price and all the excess fees I would NOT recommend or stay in this property ever again.
The condo was great the only thing wrong was the blow dryer didnât work. There was no washer or dryers in the condo which was fine. The hot tub was broke on the third floor. Also only one set of elevators worked which was no problem because it was the week before Memorial Day and it wasnât crowded.
Our family really enjoyed this lovely vacation rental. It is situated perfectly on the ocean front, with a large balcony to enjoy the sunrise, listen to the waves, and watch the beachgoers. The home (which is a condominium apartment) is very spacious and fit our family perfectly. The master bedroom is located to the left as you enter in the front door and is super spacious with large windows and walk out balcony. The 2nd bedroom with 2 twin beds is located straight ahead as you enter the home, which shares a wall with the master bedroom. This room has a very large walk-in closet and also has large windows to enjoy the beach view. The living room and kitchen area are to the right down the hallway from the main entrance. A wooden table and chairs for 8. The living room and kitchen is open concept. The last and final bedroom with 2 queen beds is off of the kitchen, with views of the island and bay on the west side. Final bedroom has an oversized closet, perfect to store luggage. There is a large book shelf with several books to enjoy. The 2 bathrooms are very spacious and have plenty of mirrors to get ready in. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need to cook a good meal for your family. It has baking dishes and pans to make cookies, casserole, etc. The pool and jacuzzi is on the 3rd level and have a beach front view as well. I only have 1 area of concern and it had nothing to do with the unit. When I checked in the front office of the building itself issued 2 parking passes to me and told us we could park in the garage. On our last night there, I was telephoned after 10pm, and was rudely told by the front office that I had 2 vehicles in the garage and I could only have 1 vehicle in the garage and the other must be parked outside, and that I had move my vehicle as they called in a tow service to have it removed. I explained to the woman that I was issued the parking passes, told that we could park in the garage, and that no one advised us of this, and no where on our instructions does it state that we couldn't park 2 vehicles. My husband and I were out during that time, so we had to bring our final date night to an abrupt end to come and move our vehicle. I walked into the office with my instruction papers and asked them to show where it states that we cannot park 2 vehicles. As a matter of fact, it says the complete opposite, it says 2 parking spaces allowed. Other than this unexpected parking issue, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Good location, great view of beach from patio. Condo was exceptionally clean and Iâm critical in that regard. Only negative is the tight parking spaces in the garage. We have a large truck and there was no way possible to just take one space. Not a problem as it wasnât as crowded during off season.
This is the 3rd condo we've stayed at at Inverness - love the location and easy access to the beach. This particular condo was not as updated as the other two smaller ones we've stayed at but it had the space we needed. The only complaint is we couldn't get the TV in the kid's room to work; of all the TVs in the house I would have preferred that the kids' TV be the one to work. And as far as the other TVs it took us a while to figure out how to get them all turned on with all the different devices (cable box, TV, DVD, etc.) - they should definitely leave instructions for each TV. Also - I was disappointed that they didn't have Roku/Netflix/Hulu, etc. and instead offered cable but that's me. But the TV situation was only a small issue - we weren't there for the TV. One of my favorite things about the location is the beach chair/umbrella rentals offered - it's so convenient to be able to go down to the beach with just a beach bag in tow and not have to lug a big umbrella or shade covering - it takes all the work out of it and lets you just focus on having a good time. - we had a blast and would definitely go back.
The condo was amazing! It's large and comfortable and the beach is right out the door. We enjoyed staying there so much. The check in was not good. We didn't get the keys until 5:30 pm and when we got to the condo, the housekeeper was still cleaning and didn't get finished. We had no towels and the floors had not been cleaned. Also, we were allowed only 1 "fob" to get into the building, the beach and the pool even though we had rented for 5 adults and 1 child. When we called we were told another would be provided but it never was. It was certainly an inconvenience but didn't really take away from the condo itself. I would recommend this property to anyone, especially a family, that is wanting a nice relaxing beach experience.
The view was awesome! The condo was very spacious and clean. We had a party of 8, you could easily fit 2 more people. The teenagers loved it, which is a big deal. It has all the appliances and utensils/tools you will need to cook food, HEB and/or Walmart is about 20 minutes away. The owners have a useful information binder that is very helpful that includes things to do around town and TV channels. Watching the sunrise was amazing! Everyone is friendly. You won't have a problem leaving your canopy up with your stuff under the tent during the day, no one messes with it.
Negatives: The parking is terrible. Only 1 car in the parking garage, which is a small fit. The other vehicle has to park on the street. We have AT&T, the connection for the internet and phone service was hit or miss. When we arrived on Sunday only one elevator worked. (They fixed the second one the next day). Lastly, you have to drive back to the property management office to get more towels, which is a 5 minute drive.
If you can deal with the negatives, which wasn't a big problem for us, the condo was fantastic and we would stay here again.
