If you are planning to visit the TCU areas, this house is a great location. It is a safe neighborhood walkable to campus and lots of restaurants. However, as the owner describes, it is an old house and in need of several minor repairs (spindles on deck, towel racks in bathrooms, rocking ceiling fans, old stained carpet, etc). Also, it was not stocked with sufficient linens (towels, extra blankets). The owner did provide these upon request. All in all, the convenience is a plus as long as you realize the house needs some love.
We came down to visit our son who attends TCU. This property was perfectly situated near campus and all the activities we participated in. There is plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and lots of comfortable areas to lounge. The host was great -- really responsive an If you want to be close to TCU, this is your spot!
Our family is avid travelers and we enjoy staying at different VRBO properties through out the US. This property was slightly different than other properties in which we have stayed and the difference made it an excellent expereince. When booking you must understand this property is older; however there has been a lot of love put into this property with upgrades. The most significance in this property versus others in which we have stayed is the hostess interaction and the
if the need arises, would stay there again. Would have been 5 stars except one of the bathrooms needs some maintenance repairs. Overall, much better than staying at
hotel/motel. Neighborhood was nice, no problems, plenty of room for everyone. TV's are big & smart ones so bring your log-in for streaming.
We stayed at this property 1/31-2/05, 2024. This is a great location. TCU, shopping, restaurants, and freeway access are all nearby. While this may be an older home, the inside has been renovated and the layout works well. The bedrooms are laid out in a way that provides both privacy and quietness. The upstairs has the 4th bedroom with its own bathroom and also an additional living area with a TV and an outdoor deck. The owner was very responsive. Overall, we would rate the property very high, the only thing that may need updating is the carpeting in the upper level. Would rent again.
Our family has a tradition of going to the Ft Worth Stockshow and Rodeo. This house was perfect for our family to stay while in town. It was very clean and comfortable for our family. Griselda was a great host who was very quick to respond to any questions as well as communicate all details regarding our stay.
Our family really enjoyed our stay on this beautiful 4 bedroom 3 bath home. Very spacious and clean. Host was great in answering and taking care of all our questions. Will definitely book again in the future.
My friends and I stayed at this property to go to a concert in Fort Worth. It worked out very well for our group - there are many wings of the house, so everyone was able to spread out and have their own space. Griselda was a great communicator and let me know about all the details ahead of time. Check in was very easy and Griselda left us some food and drinks as a welcome gift which was very nice! There were some areas of the house that were a little run down, but Griselda and the Vrbo listing were upfront about that. The neighborhood around us was a little run down as well, but we didn't feel unsafe or anything so that also wasn't a problem for us, just wanted to note that though. Overall I would recommend this property - thanks for a great stay!
We stayed at the house for TCU family weekend. The location was perfect. Close enough to walk to campus. Also, the layout of this house is fantastic: technically 3 separate sleeping areas (each with its own bathroom). Griselda has spent a lot of time and money making this place nice: the bathrooms being the greatest upgrade. And the communication with her couldn't have been better!
