Photos accurate and we really appreciated the coffee, water and snacks. Any questions were answered immediately by the owner including restaurant recommendations . Just watch walking from road to gate - ground uneven.Would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you!
This place was perfect for the family for the night before our family cruise. We got in with no issues and had plenty of time to get to our cruise. Thank you for letting us stay at your home.
Perfect For the night before our cruise. Great location. We walked to the beach & back In the morning. We visited with Wanda, who was born and raised on the island of Galveston.
All the basics are in the bungalow, quiet, & clean.
4 of us needed a place to stay the night before leaving for a cruise. Alot of places require at least 2 night stay. This property did not. The home was very quaint, and we enjoyed our stay. The homeowner was very accommodating on a request we had. I would definitely request to stay again if we ever are in Galveston, TX again
It was very nicely maintained and clean. We were 5 people and for breakfast included nothing much available. they only provided 3 small personal cereal, 2 instant oatmeal. We enjoyed our stay
There is no parking, you have to park on the street, didnât like neighborhood. House is an old house and smells like old as soon as you walk in. We had to leave because of the smell. Pictures are not a true reflection of how it is in person.
First thing there were no washcloths, top sheets,or extra blankets. There was mouse poop in the drawers in the kitchen. There was orange mold in the shower & it leaked all over the floor. The tub was dirty. All the windowsill were dirty & had dead bugs in them. There were long black hair in the "clean" towels. The walls throughout have cracks. There are cracks in baseboards. The doors have huge gaps in them. Including the front door. No plates & very limited kitchen stuff. The pillows are uncomfortable. The hot & cold water taps are backwards in the master bath. the walk way into the house ivery uneven and uneven & dangerous.
The house was fine - the furnishings seemed newer and it was comfortable enough. Owner was easy to work with. It would not be suitable for a long stay in my opinion. There is only a mini fridge and microwave, not a full kitchen and no outdoor space. We were there for the night before our cruise and it was fine for that stay. We were close to the port and the strand that was very convenient.
My only issue was the parking. It was street parking but the street is extremely narrow. With out truck parked it was literally in the middle of the street which turned the street into a one lane road basically. We were very worried that our vehicle would be hit or broken into but thankfully it was ok. There is no driveway. I just did not like that we were not able to secure our vehicle. We would not book again due to this only. But if you are flying in and wonât have a vehicle it would be a non issue.
Very comfortable 2 bedroom 2 bath home. Convenient location, parking out front. Clean home, nice kitchen with complimentary snacks which are very much appreciated, nice touch.
My name is Komal, and I go by Koko! While growing up in Houston, I used to visit Galveston every summer. Little did I know, that this island would slowly take my heart to the point that I would pack up everything and move down here! Living in Galveston has been a dream for me, and I would love to be able to show you a piece of the island by hosting one of my houses.
The Mint Cove is an old house that was in need of some love when I first saw it. I fell in love with it the moment I stepped onto the porch. This house has a special place in my heart, and sharing it with others would make it that much more meaningful to me. I love to host for family, friends, and my guests, and I strive to make your stay here on the island as special as I can.
During your stay, you will have access to many amenities including a coffee/tea bar & lots of snacks! The bathrooms provide shampoo, conditioner, soap, and many towels! I also have beach towels and toys for you to borrow during your stay, along with many other games at the house for when you come back from shopping, dining, and swimming. There is also a basketball court right across the house so feel free to grab the basketball from the house and head over to the court!
