Welcome to the beautifully balanced bungalow. Blending the perfect balance of character and charm, with modern day amenities. Enjoy some sweet tea on the front porch swing, cuddle up after a day of touring historical New Bern and watch your favorite show in the comfortable living room, prepare a meal in the fully equipped kitchen or sip your favorite beverage on the screened back porch. Two spacious bedrooms boast one queen size bed and two twin beds. Walk in shower, washer and dryer, dedicated work space, snacks and a fully packed beach bag make for an enjoyable and stress-free stay. This Airbnb also has real plants for healthy living and incorporates holistic Feng Shui touches for a peaceful stay. Less than 2 miles from historical downtown New Bern, 40 miles to the Crystal Coast Beaches, 4 miles to the airport and endless shopping and restaurants options are all in very close proximity.

What a charming little bungalow. Lots of character. Updated just enough in order to maintain the homes true character. Super close to downtown area and any other amenities needed. I was visiting family in Havelock so the location worked very well.Maura was an awesome host readily available for any questions regarding my stay.

Cutest bungalow!!

We came to town for a local university graduation. The house is adorable!! Perfect for adults who don’t like to stay in hotels. It’s perfectly stocked and the hostess had water and snacks left in the kitchen which was great because we got in late and we were hungry. The outdoor space had a great set up for sitting outside in the evenings and relaxing. I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone!!

Cozy and comfortable as always

We stay here often as we have family in the area. It’s such a sweet cottage. My elderly mother-in-law has taken to calling it “our little yellow house”. It does feel like our home away from home. The owner is fantastic to work with. We’ll remain loyal renters for as long as we have family here.

Wonderful house!!

We had a wonderful weekend in New Bern! The house was perfect! It had everything you could possibly need for a weekend trip! We were so impressed by all the little details. The old charm of the house was adorable! It was in a perfect location for spending ample time downtown. It was a super short drive or uber ride to the local shops and bars. Everyone we met was so friendly. We would definitely rent again!!

Home away from home

This was our 4th stay at this property. We have family in the area and the cottage - or the “little yellow house” as my mother-in-law calls it ;-) - is just minutes away from where they live. It’s so comfortable and convenient to everything. The owner is very easy to work with and does a great job of responding quickly to any questions we have. We travel to New Bern about every 3 months now. It is truly our home away from home!

Home away from home

We were in town for a retirement. This cozy house was truly home away from home. Cozy and inviting. She was stocked with more than you could imagine to make the stay easy. The location was great, easy to access. We were able to head out the the beaches a few days and it was super great to be able to come back and hose everything off before our return home. Highly recommend and would stay again

Charming bungalow!

We stayed here for two nights to drop off our kids at camp, a big trip with lots of logistics coming from NYC, and this sweet house was such a welcome respite, the perfect place to stretch out. We loved the swing on the front porch (lovely reading spot), and the screened in porch our back was just the right size for yoga with my kids. Amazing attention to detail — candy jars, coffee and creamer, snacks, and lovely toiletries. A great family alternative to the motels and B and Bs in town, it’s a 5 min drive from the shops and restaurants we love in New Bern.

Amazing Quaint Clean Cottage

Amazing two bedroom cottage on plenty of land, super clean and up to date. Beds were very comfortable and you can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in this house. Very up to date, tons of amenities and extras. Highly recommend this house!!

Perfect Little Bungalow!

We enjoyed our stay in New Bern! This house is very clean and well stocked with anything you would need. Beds are very comfortable. Close to town, but not in town. Convenient to all areas. Loved both the front and back porches! Especially the porch swing. Just what we needed. We will be back! Thank you Maura and Peter.

Picture Perfect

Your property is gorgeous and we are lovef being so close to downtown New Bern! You did a fantastic job with renovating and decorating this lovely home. My travel buddy and I have stayed at many VRBO's and this is one of the nicest at which we have been. The proximity to downtown makes it very appealing. The cleanliness, your notes, the snacks, coffee, kitchen basics, laundry basics, and personal touches are amazing. The local literature was also very helpful. I can understand why your reviews are always so positive!!! If I have a reason to be in New Bern again, I would definitely seek out this property!

Three years ago after a visit to New Bern I bought a home here. I loved it so much I wanted to share this beautiful city with as many people as I can. Hence I am opening the Beautifully Balanced Bungalow. I'm no stranger to Airbnb's, I have another one in Beverly Massachusetts (right next to Salem) and I frequent Airbnb's whenever I travel. Prior to our move to New Bern I was a full time Realtor where I learned first hand what people want in their homes. I now run an energy balancing company where I energetically cleanse homes, incorporate holistic Feng Shui design features and energy balancing of space (removal of EMF's, etc.). The name of my business is Wind, Water and Wisdom. So in addition to the space looking great I also want it to FEEL great. In my free time you will find me walking the shores of the Crystal Coast, on the hunt for a great cup of coffee, walking my dog downtown or riding on our motorcycle down the windy roads of Eastern North Carolina.

As a former Realtor my very favorite house is a bungalow and when I think of the South I immediately am drawn to a bungalow with a porch swing (insert sweet tea). I'm a huge fan of porches and outdoor space. This house offers a large front porch and back screened porch overlooking a large backyard. The home offers all the creature comforts to make a stay enjoyable from a physical standpoint and an energetic standpoint.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

A fully packed beach bag complete with sunscreen, two beach towels and two sand drink holders. Fresh ground coffee from my favorite local coffee shop. I am happy to provide for your arrival a custom charcuterie board complete with a bottle of wine, beer or your favorite beverage (just ask me how). Live plants for health, crystal placement and feng shui touches for energy balancing and the house will be cleansed with sage prior to your arrival to remove any of the last guests energy. I want your stay to be filled with peace and ease.
