Spotless, comfortable and safe. Great location with excellent kitchen + backyard
This home is a little jewel with a beautiful fenced in back yard which you and your furry friends will love. Perfect for a weekend getaway, a full vacation, an opportunity to meet with family, to attend a graduation, or to visit your favorite Marine. Cozy Scamozzi is located in a quiet, suburban tract but close to everything including grocery stores, restaurants and retail. Nearby is New Bern, a quaint, riverside town with many shops and the original Pepsi Cola soda fountain. You will be a short drive to The Neuse and Trent Rivers and only 45 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean so there are plenty of opportunities for water sports. Also, there are miles of beautiful hiking trails nearby. We will consider long term renters and will make every effort to support military families. Come let us host you and your family.
Our stay was more than we expected and it felt like "home" from the moment we arrived. It was very cozy and we experienced no issues during our stay. The neighbors were friendly and shared info about a fireworks event in the area. My mom has already stated that we would definitely rent again when we come back to New Bern if it's available.
What a wonderful home for our stay! The house was immaculate and nicely furnished. The king size bed in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable! Our dog loved the fenced in yard where she could play. Neighborhood very quiet and peaceful. Downtown New Bern just minutes away! Will certainly be coming back for our next family event!
We enjoyed our stay with family and friends doing the transition / death of a loved one from New Bern North Carolina. We enjoyed the fence in backyard. The nice big clean garage. And the nicely set up bedrooms with comfy beds. Everything was decorated nicely and well kept, therw were gorgeous ceramic and wood floors. The kitchen and bathrooms were spotless. It's definitely a hidden gem.
Very Clean. very comfortable. Great property manager.
Place was perfect. Very clean. Zero problems at all. Was everything we expected and needed. Property manager was wonderful to work with. Will book this property again if back in the area.
The house is clean and located in a quiet neighborhood of similar, nicely maintained houses. Conveniently located to plenty of shopping and dining options, and to the highway connecting Raleigh to Morehead City.
We toured Historical New Bern.
Only had one problem. When we arrived and it was taken care of immediately. 5 stars all around for us. Out dogs enjoyed the back yard.
The property was as advertised and very comfortable/cozy. The location was very private in a good neighborhood. We loved the fenced in yard, bedrooms , and the very well supplied utensils in the kitchen. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate in New Bern, so we left early.
The host was very approachable and answered all of our questions
Really enjoyed having the space to relax and spread out during our family's Vacation to New Bern. This Home will make you feel right at Home as soon as you walk through the doors. Our favorite feature was the nice full size grill to cook all our Summer Dinners. 5 out of 5 Stars all the way!
The home was in a good neighborhood, which had been a concern when my son mentioned I should try VRBO instead of a hotel. Staying in this home ruined me for hotels! It was homey, well cared for and supplied. The owners were very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this home and the the owner :)
Great Property, Great Owner! You Won't Go Wrong With This Rental!
We rented this property to accommodate myself, my wife and 3 family members--all of us were out-of-town visitors--who had come to New Bern for my son's wedding. Matthew was extremely friendly and accommodating. We had other family members who stayed in hotels and the vast majority of VRBO property owners/agents were not willing to allow us to have them visit us at their property or come for a meal. Matthew had no hesitation whatsoever in saying that his property was there for exactly that purpose: to have families spend time together.
The home is pretty amazing and is in a good neighborhood. We felt safe and close to everything. The front and back lawns were freshly cut when we arrived. The floorplan is nice with good-sized rooms in the 1400 sq ft house. It was unusual (and nice!) to see that we had access to and use of the garage with an automatic door opener. The back yard is large and pleasant with a very nice propane grill on the expansive concrete patio.
All guests agreed that the beds were very comfortable. Linens were high quality and there were plenty of extra sheets and towels. Furniture was comfortable and in very good shape. A *large* variety of snack packs were provided for our arrival (a nice and unique touch!). I realize that not everybody will be on board with this, but we thought it was neat that in addition to the assortment of spices and condiments usually found in a short-term rental, either Matthew or past renters had left several sealed boxes of various frozen microwaveable foods in the freezer. We thought that was kind of cool and, wanting to do our part to contribute to the sense of "community" it created, added a couple of boxes purchased at the Publix right down the street.
Some things to be aware of:
*Unfortunately, there is a neighbor across the street who has a modified exhaust system (read "louder than normal") on their car and who came and went at all hours of the day and night.
*Hot water takes a few minutes to reach sinks and tubs in the house. But it is provided by a natural gas-fueled water heater, so it is hot and plentiful!
*A traditional drip coffeemaker with a cone filter is provided, not a Keurig. Still, it made excellent-tasting coffee.
*There is no automatic icemaker in the freezer. I recommend picking up a bag of ice from the nearby Publix or Harris Teeter (their largest store in the world!) not far from the house. Probably on your route to the house when you arrive in New Bern.
Great place - clean, nice, spacious. Only issue was that the AC stopped working going into the last night of our stay. We tried to connect with the property manager and couldnât reach him - hopefully heâs ok? Was a bit of a warm night but not the end of the world.
Adrienne and I would like to welcome you to our house in New Bern. We bought it to be close to our new granddaughter, Evelyn Grace, but can't be there every week. The place is much too nice to sit idle so we wanted to share it with others, like you!
The kitchen is set up for people who like to cook and was equipped by a professional chef. The beds are really nice with new mattresses and box springs. But the biggest treat is the fenced-in backyard that abuts the nature preserve so you can sit back and enjoy a calm, quiet space.
