Cozy home near downtown & Montage Mountain

Summary:
Located on a quiet tree lined street on East Mountain. Spend a night inside a cozy home with a screened-in side porch or enjoy some time in the large fenced-in back yard featuring a patio and fire pit. Just minutes from downtown Scranton and Montage Mountain, it gives you plenty of opportunities for dining, shopping and entertainment.

The Space:
Warm and comfy family friendly house with 2 bedrooms and hardwood floors throughout. The bedrooms have queen beds and smart tv's. We also keep a crib always on site for families traveling with infants. Large comfortable living room has a 55" smart tv and a cozy electric fireplace. Kitchen has modern refrigerator and glass-top stove with all the basic cooking supplies to spend the night eating in. Screened-in porch with wicker furniture and back patio with gas grill and fire pit give you nice spaces to sit and relax and enjoy your stay. Plenty of street parking in front of the house so you don't have to worry about parking. There are also a washer and dryer available in the basement for your convenience. Located in a beautiful neighborhood with friendly neighbors, It's close to Interstate-81 and all the city activities making it a perfect place to stay.

Guest Access:
Guests will have full access to the whole house and yards. There is a detached garage in the back which guests will not have access to.

The Neighborhood:
Quiet and clean family neighborhood. Only a few blocks to Interstate-81 exit and just minutes from downtown Scranton and Montage Mountain.

Interaction with Guests:
Guests will have home to themselves. I live nearby and I am available for help if needed during your stay. You can call or message me anytime.

The owners of this house are amazing and super nice. They went over and beyond for our 30 day stay as we transitioned back into the area after being away for years. Highly recommend this house for a traveling nurse, very close to hospital.

Quick Overnight

We stayed here with some family while in town for a funeral. Check-in was simple and straightforward. The hosts were friendly and responsive, and the place was as advertised. We didn’t have time to try out the foosball table or any of the games available, but appreciated them as options. They had a nice selection of snacks available for guests. Overall, we would recommend this place.

Wonderful Stay in a Quiet Neighborhood

We had a fantastic stay at this VRBO property! The home was beautiful, well-maintained, and located in a peaceful neighborhood, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The host was excellent, providing clear and timely communication that made the check-in process seamless. Everything was exactly as described, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the space. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others looking for a quiet and comfortable retreat!

We enjoyed our stay! it was a quaint and cozy home! There are a couple things I would do to improve things, but it's a wonderful place to stay! It was so convenient to the many family and friends we wanted to visit. Thank you for helping to make our trip so enjoyable!

Family getaway

The house is cute and quaint. It worked for what we needed. Could use a bit of TLC. We do not mind old as we know things of course will not be brand new but the couch pillows could use an update and the side porch a bit of cleaning. The swing in the yard was broken so my kids were a little bummed. The yard is nice and big for running around and catching fireflies. The owners are wonderful and quick to respond!!! All in all a good trip.

Perfect stop on our trip

We typically stay at a hotel nearby on our trips to New England, but we found this cute house and know that this will be our first choice in the future! House is very clean, well-stocked (Kids loved the waters & snacks in kitchen), quiet neighborhood and the owners are amazing! Great communication and not only super friendly, but very kind to look and find an item my daughter left behind and get it back to us! All our kids liked the house and felt very comfortable there, too, which is very rare.

Just what we needed

This home was exactly what we needed for our one overnight stay in the Scranton area. Nice neighborhood. Very clean and comfortable. The children enjoyed the top floor, screened-in porch and spacious backyard.

Wonderful Weekend Away

Came for a weekend away and to enjoy some of The Office sights. The house is cute and located in a quiet neighborhood with many things provided and yet was close enough to the downtown. The hosts communicated well and left a helpful binder and snacks. Thanks for a great stay!

Great stay

Nice place accommodated myself and a few teenagers for an overnight before a ski trip. Home had everything we needed for a comfortable night sleep, definitely better and more spacious than staying in a hotel.

Perfect stay for a weekend getaway

The house was lovely, exactly as described and shown in the listing. Very clean and comfortable, small yet spacious, with the upstairs room that has two twin beds and games for our 14 year old boys to hang out and sleep. Very close to Scranton for dinner and Montage Mountain for skiing.

Fantastic hosts and home!

Got together with my brothers to watch horror movies, play board & video games, and general shenanigan's. Yes, we're adults, but don't judge! The house was clean and exactly as advertised. It was very comfortable with lots of nice little touches to make us feel welcomed and at home. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful. Already thinking about our next trip!
