Head on down to the coast and take a lovely stroll with your family along the boardwalk of Jennette's Pier. Take a deep breath of the ocean breeze and listen to the peaceful waves crashing against the shore.

Once you've had enough exploration for the day, come on back to your vacation rental and settle down on the couches in the wide and spacious living room, adorned with a pacific blue marlin hanging on the wall and plenty of welcoming signs all through the room. Step out onto the patio and gaze out at the breathtaking view as you sip on a nice morning cup of coffee. perfect for our needs

We had a group of men deep sea fishing and needed a quite place to stay in Nags Head. Barracuda Cove met our needs perfectly. Nice, quiet and clean house that had enough beds for all of the people in our group.

Perfect small family home!

Very clean, fully stocked, we only needed our own food. I was extremely impressed. We needed family and pet friendly, with fenced in back yard for our dog and our daughter with autism, who runs off if ahe can. I was really pleased with everything. They even had baby/animal gates to use. We could see the ocean from the house. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. The driveway had plenty of space. I highly recommend this property to ANYONE and with or without a family or pets! We loved it. I would only warn that there are beach prickers/briars that will get in fluffy fur if your dog does play around in the backyard. Our dog was covered and we are going to need to shave her to get them removed. All in all, we are so pleased with our choice and our vacation!.

MDW Family Vacation

Family of 4 visiting OBX for MDW. The house was perfect. Pleanty of room, great floor plan, and and awesome place to hangout and have people in. The house is pet friendly so inherently there is some pet hair in the furniture/rugs, but that’s expected. Would recommend this property to anyone!

Could use some updating

The location was convenient for us. The kitchen was lovely and well stocked. we had a great Thanksgiving with our extended family. There were 15 of us. It would have been nice to know that 6 people would be using the same bathroom.

Barracuda

Didn't love the clogged drain in the tub, the broken lamp shade, the scant offering of dishwashing and laundry detergent for a four night stay, the mildewy HVAC, the wet/mildewy coffee maker, the sticky surfaces throughout the house. I don't think much effort was put into the cleaning, and the home was not well maintained.

Nags Head

Great location, clean house, good beds and furniture. It is managed by Vacasa so that’s a new experience for me. We stayed on a cool weather weekend but the AC went out on the top floor the last 2 nights but we survived with windows open. The stairs…, the ground floor steps are double the height of a normal step making it tough for some of us as well as our older dog. Our puppy fell down these steps and broke his leg needing surgery while we were there. Not our best trip but my only complaint is the stairs.

Definitely going back!

This pet friendly property was a great price and lovely home. With so many beds and bedrooms it's great to go with another family but worked perfectly with just our family. They were not quite ready at 4 for check-in, but they do express that they are backed up and are not always ready right at check-in time. Since we pulled up at 4 and they weren't quite ready we fell like we may have rushed the cleaning crew and some things were left behind to clean. Even with that said, it was a overall very clean property and contacting the manager was a breeze and the stay was very pleasant. Going down the road just 2 blocks got us to free public beach access and we were able to go to the beach every day of our stay. I highly recommend this property!

Wonderful property; however, management could use some work.

To be clear, this is a review of the management company, NOT the house. The house was lovely, clean, great location, had EVERYTHING. 1st, Vacasa tells you what to set the temp to. Fair enough, but 79 is high for a menopausal woman w/hot flashes & a geriatric dog that overheats. I wouldn't have booked had I known. 2nd, I put a chair on the deck to block my dog from the steps(they have dog gates, hadn't see them yet). A man from Vacasa came by unannounced (knocking very loudly giving everyone a jump-scare) saying "IT WAS REPORTED you have a chair on the deck..." It was reported? By who, I didn't ask. He acted more like a cop, no smile, no how's your trip going, etc. My kids were weirded out, I was weirded out-it was WEIRD. We looked at the house from the street, it would have been hard to see a chair. You would have to be watching. Again, fair enough, it's your property but after that, we felt uneasy & watched. We spent several moments looking for cameras throughout our stay. Lastly, someone came by unannounced later in the week when we were out. They left the yard gate open, we didn't notice, our dog got out of the yard when we let her out (she had been out w/us). Our geriatric, deaf dog w/low vision. We were FRANTIC. She could have been hurt or lost, she loves to wander. Luckily, she didn't get far before we found her. This gate needs to be unlatched & pushed open-pure negligence. Also, there's another more visible gate they could have used-again WEIRD. NOT a fan of Vacasa.
