Unit #5H is pre-renovation and is scheduled to be renovated in Autumn 2025. This older condo provides a great opportunity to stay less than 15 feet from the ocean for such a great and affordable price! Sit on the lanai and watch the whales jumping or the turtles eating off the reef. The sunset can't be beat. Please see the pictures for an accurate representation of the condition.

Maui Sands is full of Old Hawaiian Charm and is a great place to spend your vacation! Whether your "Family" is made of parents and children, college friends, girls or guys week out, or whoever you call family this condo will help you have a wonderful experience. This Ocean Front condo is located less than 15 feet from the ocean. Sitting on the lanai is a truly fantastic experience. The kitchen is the center of the home. Everything you need to cook for your family is provided. The propane BBQ is close by next to the Pool for fun and relaxing dinners.

Both bedrooms have a California King size bed and the sofa sleeper in the living room is queen size.

Maui Sands Condos are close to the Best Beaches, Restaurants, Grocery Stores, Farmers Market, Food Trucks, Hiking, Biking, Whale Watching, Turtle Watching, and so much more! Enjoy the most beautiful sunsets as you sit on the ocean wall viewing deck. You will love this place!

If only I could live this close to the ocean

This location is amazing, right on the ocean just step out the door and hear the waves crash & watch the aunset. It is dated and worn but clean and user friendly. Well stocked with supplies in the kitchen and for the beach. Close enough to everything you need. . I'd not hesitate to rent this unit again.

The location to surf spots, grocery stores, walking to Whalers Village is perfect! You can hear the waves while you sleep! Makes for a perfect vacation.

Great Family Vacation

This place is in a great location and right on the ocean. We saw whales every day from the lanai. It could use some updating, but it is clean and in a great/quiet community. It's also within a 5-minute drive of several great beaches.

awsome location and view

It has a million-dollar view. I loved the sound of the crashing surf. The beaches were about a 20-minute walk away from the condo. You could go swimming in front of the property. The best part was being a 10-minute walk from the Lahaina Food Truck Lot, which had a superb selection of all types of cuisine and fresh fruit at very reasonable prices. Don't forget to get the best Poke in town at Foodland Farms Market. Yes, bypass the groceries like Safeway; the veggies and fruit are excellent at Foodland. The condo's carpets are old. If you are a neat freak, you might not be happy with this; otherwise, it is a gorgeous condo.

Needs updating but overall great place!

Overall, we had a positive stay at this Vrbo. The location is great and within walking distance of many restaurants, the food truck park, and more. It’s also right on the water so we were able to swim and see whales from the balcony of the condo. The condo was well stocked and parking was easy. The condo itself is in need of updating and the carpet has signifiant large stains. The place was clean but given how old the fixtures and everything are, it makes it feel a little dirty. If it was renovated, it would improve the value of the place immensely. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the location can’t be beat.

Great location

The condo has amazing views from the living room and the lanai. The only downside is that the condo is in need of some updating. This was clear ahead of time from the listing but we were still a little surprised the extent when we first walked in. However that quickly fell to the background with the beautiful views. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

Vintage ocean front condo

Everything you need and some extras you would not expect Drip coffee maker ... buy some Maui coffee its fantastic AC unit is behind the drapes, turn it on, roll drape so it does not block, strategicly place the provided fans Dont forget there are roll down sun shades on the lenai, lower them and clip to the rail before the afternoon sun get cooking Enjoy.. we certainly did

Wishful Home Away from Home

Shanna’s condo made us wish we lived in Maui. Sitting on the lanai was so peaceful that we could have stayed forever enjoying the beautiful view. :) In fact, if we could, we would love to buy the property! My husband & kids snorkeled right off the balcony and saw amazing sea life. They also got to swim alongside a sea turtle, which made everyone’s day. Shanna was a great communicator and addressed our questions in a timely manner. The location was amazing / top notch. We were steps from the ocean and were close to some good restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing ocean view and sound, great location, fun maui home away from home

Wonderful vibes immerse this condo. Fantastic view of the ocean which you can also hear throughout the unit. Sitting on the balcony is a perfect way to enjoy the sunset, sunrise, and any time between. Location makes for super easy walking to good food, fun places to grab a mai tai, fresh fish tacos, organic grocery, and upscale dining if you don’t mind a small walk. Perfect for visiting many great beaches with only a brief drive.. The beach behind the condo is great for snorkeling. The cross breeze keeps the air flowing in the unit, really enjoyed spending a week in Maui having this condo as home base. Good vibes and spectacular ocean views.

Arrived Keypad do not work, air conditioner broken, called unit MA rated as premiere by your organization, explain problems, requested refund, she was extremely rude, We left the next morning with Is hope of salvage in our vacation.

Great Location!

Positives: Location! Amazing views, good location for beaches and food. Quiet, clean. Laundry facilities easy to use with app. Condo had everything we needed including snorkel gear and towels, cooler, chairs. Parking spot very close! As others reviewed, it does need some updates, but that shouldn't keep you from staying here. It does get very hot in the afternoon, but if you leave the windows open, and close the curtains, that helps a lot. We just planned our days to be gone/outside during the afternoon. There was an access code, but also instructions to use my phone number, so that was a bit confusing, but we figured it out. I called the host for help, but didn't hear back. We got in, so not a huge deal.

Would stay again after renovations are done!

The good stuff: -Absolutely stunning view from the balcony! Listening to the waves throughout the day and having your coffee with the ocean in the background is priceless. 11/10 -Location can't be beat. You're within walking distance from an ABC store, food trucks, and the ocean is only a few feet away. Fairly private. Free parking. -The condo is totally stocked with everything you might need from beach toys, towels, kitchen gadgets, and plenty of dishes and silverware. The not so good stuff: -AC is listed as an amenity, however it is only an AC window unit and not central AC. The bedrooms are not close to the AC unit so have fun trying to sleep when it's warm. -I know the condo is listed as "pre-renovation" but that term is very vague. Here's what they mean by that: The carpet is old and stained. Wallpaper is old and stained in parts. Paint is missing in parts. AC didn't work (maybe it works now but as of May 2023 it ran for a few hours before it died). Unit was clean but photos were misrepresented. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. But only after renovations are complete.

Great spot for a home base

I'm going to start by saying if you're looking for a resort-in-a-condo, this is not your place. However, if all you just need a place to sleep and make meals but will otherwise spend your time out on the amazing island of Maui, this is a great option. The great first: - Shanna was a great host. She was receptive to our comments/questions, gave suggestions on where best to go with kids, and when something came up that neither us as renters or she as the host could control, she made reasonable accommodations for us. I really appreciate how willing she was to work with us. - The location is fantastic. You can go snorkeling out on the reef directly in front of the property. The view is incredible, and we could watch whales off the porch in the morning. There's everything you need within walking distance., including an awesome food truck park, coffee shops, snorkeling rental, groceries and restaurants. There's also a grill and patio at the pool, if you just want to chill for an afternoon. - The beds are very comfortable, and the unit fit the adults and two kids without issue. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need to make meals on the cheap. The not-so-great: - The unit needs a renovation. There's plexiglass on some windows because the shades are broken, the bathroom needs to be re-tiled, etc. I believe Shanna plans to renovate as soon as possible, but until then the unit is dated. - It can get a bit hot during the day, but if you are strategic about keeping windows open to allow air flow and drawing the curtains to keep out the sun while you're gone, it's not a problem. Fans helped too, which were helpfully provided by Shanna. In all, we loved our time there, and I have no regrets about renting with Shanna or at Maui Sands.
