Nice location!

Overall we were very pleased with our stay- we may have rushed the cleaning staff for an earlier check in time. Decently comfortable and the location was great if you don't have a car. Right on the beach, nice pool, decent tiki bar food.

Nice place to stay

The room was nice. The view could have been better. I love the features of the hotel. The Tiki bar and restaurant is awesome. Nice staff. Great location.

Have low expectations

If you have low expectations coming in you will be good. The resort itself is showing its age, not much insulation, you can hear everything in the hallways. The beds are soft, minus the vroken bedframe.

Great Tiki!

Room and property exceeded expectations for the price! The beach, pool, Tiki bar, and restaurant on the property are fabulous! Would definitely stay here again! The host communicated and check in was seamless!

spring break

This place really is super nice! The room was perfect for my famly ( my boys are 10 and 13) for a couple days. The weather was awful but it forced us to spend time together in the room. Our only complaint is that you cant take your drinks on the beach. i wanted to drink a couple white claws on the beach while it rained and the guy at the bottom of the steps made us turn around.....that is after we.spent 200 on food at the tiki bar. NOT COOL .

Great location, average room

Location is great!Property is within walking distance (1 mile) from many restaurants. First day we walked on the beach to a beach side breakfast place called Sandbar. Walk and food was great! Second day we took a Food Tour in Lauderdale By The Sea that was extraordinary! South Florida Best Food Tours. Room and bathroom were simple, but clean. Linens were tired and stained (some didn’t appear clean). Messaged property manager about linens but no response. Beds were very comfortable. Located on 3rd floor, but no balcony or outdoor space. A little view of the ocean and beach, but mainly a view of a building rooftop. Nice pool area. Downstairs Tiki bar had good drinks and food and were located right on the beach.

Perfect Beachfront Spot

My friend and I had such a great time! The property is well maintained and clean. The owners were very helpful before and during our stay and always responded promptly to any messages. The convenience of the beachfront location coupled with the on-site restaurants cannot be beat. Highly recommend!

Trip to attend a wedding

The valet parking situation was not good and was costly Place was nice and clean. Had to setup coffee pot in the bathroom so a full kitchen would have been better for being there 4 days. Would probably look for an actual apartment with a kitchen and parking if ever coming again. Was really nice bring by the beach.

Listed as a condo we expected more-things we wish we had: bottle opener, cutting board, tissues, sponge and dish towel for dishes provided. The room was much smaller with no kitchen area. It was really just a hotel room with a few nice touches.

Perfect in every way

I don’t normally fill these out, but I found it necessary for this one. This rental was above and beyond all expectations. Super clean, everything worked and it looked like it was just refurbished. Andrew, the host, had everything taken care and was super fast in responding to any inquiry I had. I cannot recommend this rental enough if you’re planning a stay in Fort Lauderdale.

Overbooked and Dirty

I booked this very expensive stay because of its location before we left on our cruise. We got there late at night. We had our room # and code. We went into the room and it was obvious someone was staying there. The host did not provide a contact # so I contacted them via the vrbo and provided my #. They called me and sent us to another room. That room was also occupied. Then they sent us to another room that was a closet but had a balcony. This took about an hour. The next day they contacted me while I was out on an excursion that I had to be out of the room or they would be moving my stuff. We came back to the room early from our excursion and while we were packing someone used the code to get into the room and tell us to leave. We left for the other room. During this time, the owner agreed (in writing) to refund us a partial amount. The room we went to was dirty. I contacted the host with no response either through phone or through the app. It was a horrible experience and he said that during the busy season overbooking the rooms "happens". I have contacted VRBO as I never received any refund and all they did was send the host an email telling them to contact me. Not sure why we pay a fee if there is no recourse in getting a refund when you have a horrible experience. I would not recommend to stay at this place using VRBO. There were other people that contacted the hotel directly and had a better experience.

Great stay, enjoyed amenities

We are in our 60's and flew in from Alabama to visit with our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids. We chose the Ocean Manor Resort because of the photos online showing a large pool, on the beach with a remodeled room. It was exactly that. The room was beautifully remodeled and the owners thought of every need and more. We were comfortable and used everything they graciously left for our comfort. We had beach towels in the room but also available free, by the pool. The pool was large and my grandkids and family were welcomed. We ate lunch at the Tiki Bar which is a full service restaurant. They will even deliver to your lounge chair by the pool. The resort parking was wonderful because the $18 per day fee includes unlimited use of our vehicle. The valet would go and get it and bring it to the front lobby. It was wonderful. Our room was quiet and the small kitchenette area was stocked with keurig coffee maker, toaster oven and a microwave, dishware, etc. A Winn Dixie Grocery is within walking distance, but we drove, to not carry the bags. We arrived after 1:00 am and the owners had provided us with all the necessary key codes and descriptions. Very Simple check-in, but there is someone on duty if you need question answered. I also need to compliment housekeeping. The lady had decorated with towels, toilet paper and the paper towels, they were all exquisitely displayed. We made photos of it all. This was a First Class Experience and we highly recommend this property.

Overall a good stay

We were in town for a family event and decided to stay on the beach because, why not?!? The check in process was super easy and communication with the property owner was good. One little thing is that to get the beach towels you are suppose to get a key card from the front desk which we weren’t told about. We ended up bringing our own anyway so I didn’t bother with getting the card you needed for those. The tiki bar near the pool was great and the food and drinks were surprisingly good! Good atmosphere which we loved. The beach itself was also nice, no complaints. The pool area was just okay. Very crowded and there was a film of lotion and other people’s hair and such which felt a bit unclean. The room itself we had a few issues. Half of the curtains weren’t hung properly and thankfully my husband is handy because ain’t no way I would be able to fix that if I were by myself. But we fixed and it wasn’t a big deal. However, three additional things that we didn’t love: 1. Fruit flies. My husband killed at least 3 in the shower and I killed 2 and saw at least 3 more. This may be coming from THE HOLE IN THE WALL next to the toilet. My husband also tried to recover the cap that is meant to cover that hole but it just wouldn’t stay. You can see inside the wall and the pipes in the walls etc. It’s dirty and may be where these little bugs were coming from. Last complaint is the pillows. Maybe these are great to someone but they are super hard. We would stay again, wo the flies!
