Beautiful house with room to stretch out. Main level kitchen and dinning, two living areas, half bath, entry laundry, 3 season porch. Lower level two bathrooms each with walk in shower and dressing rooms, family room. Upper level 3 queen bedrooms and full bath. Bonus room with 4 built in twin beds. Outdoor living space includes a front and back deck, fenced yard and campfire area. 2 stall heated garage and ample parking. Home is located in waking distance to amenities of Hackensack dining, shopping, beach, playground, tennis, pickleball and basketball courts, city celebrations, events and Paul Bunyan trail system for hundreds of miles of biking and snowmobiling. Atv trails, access to North Country Trail System and Chippewa National forest.

Relaxing home away

Terrific property. This is a beautiful home that is super clean and spacious. Quiet neighborhood. Perfect backyard. I would highly recommend this home.

Biking with friends

Our group of friends, aging from 60 to 80 years old came to bike the nearby Paul Bunyan trail. We were impressed with how nice the home is, and how much space inside and out. It was great having use of the garage to park our bikes. When it was rainy we found games to play and watched movies. We walked to the nearby park on the lake for amazing live entertainment and dancing. The home was equipped with all we could ask for. This has been such a great place, we hope to come again.

We gathered for a reunion of friends. There was plenty of room to gather together as well as space if we needed so time to just enjoy the tranquility of the home. Will definately go back if in the area again!

Relaxing and Peaceful Vacation Spot

We had such a wonderful time staying at the Hackensack House. Jill and Jim were wonderful to work with and very prompt to our needs. Our family time was greatly enjoyed because the house had everything and was within walking distance to the cozy downtown and great fishing.

Beautiful large home in a great location of Hackensack. Just the oasis our family was looking for. Jill was quick to respond, helpful, and thoughtful about the items available in the house. We will absolutely book again in the future!

Great Place to Stay!

We rented this home for the family of our son's wife for the weekend of the wedding. We had not seen the interior until after the family had left, but we stopped over and were very impressed. This is one of the nicest, if not the nicest, VRBO properties we have rented. The remodeling was very nice and the furnishings were equally nice. I would highly recommend this property for anyone coming to the area.

Nice Place

The house was nice. Great location. Close to the big city park for the kids. Was an easy walk to town for pizza and ice cream. No complaints about the house, everything was great. Fenced in back yard was good for keeping the kids contained. Having use of the garage was also a huge perk for rainy weather activities. Host had great communication.

Very Roomy

Very Roomy large house would be great for a couple Families with Kids on Vacation. about a block from the snowmobile trail and driveway would accommodate trailers as we had our three work trailers and trucks parked there.

End of season snowmobile ride

This property was well taken care of and perfect for snowmobiling as the state trail is about 1 block from the driveway. The host was the most responsive one we’ve ever had, very helpful. We will be back for sure!!

Fourth of July get together

The property was very nice and clean. It was in a great location. We often walked to trails and to places within Hackensack. There is a great nearby coffee shop. The owners had the house set up with everything you would need. The showers were set up with everything needed. The coffee set up was great. Just about every room had a tv and convenient usb ports. The garage space was great with foosball and ping pong. I would love to stay here again when back in Hackensack.

Great for snowmobiling and teen hangout

We visited this property for a family snowmobiling trip. Our kids brought some teenager friends along also. The lower level living room and double bathrooms and bunk room above the garage were perfect setup for them to hang out after riding. Even better, a door could be shut so it was truly like their own private “wing”. The other part of the house was as described with 3 more private bedrooms upstairs. Kitchen is not huge but adequate and amenities were top notch. The heated garage was also very convenient. Owners’ communication was great!! Will stay again!

A beautiful little gem.

My husband and I were very pleased with the accomodations. The house is super cute, all the little details just make the stay very enjoyable. The coffee bar set up was much appreciated. Even little things like when I forgot my toothbrush. We happened to stay during polar plunge and -11 yikes. The separation of spaces were very nice the gamers loved the basement. I adored the bunk room. Having individual heat and air source for sleeping quarters was great. Very nicely decorated. The heated garage was amazing. This place definitely suited for multiple families. Highly recommend for grandparents,kids,grandkids.

A+++ Experience

On a scale of 1-10 our experience here was a 15. I couldn’t encourage people to stay here any more strongly. This is a super cozy home with dedicated, responsive hosts that care deeply about their guests experience. My toddler son and I had so much fun running & playing around the large beautiful yard surrounded by the white picket fence and American flag - we got some awesome photos. Everything you’d want to do in Hackensack is only 1 or 2 blocks away. The interior of the home is very clean and after staying in around 10-15 other area Vrbos I’ve never seen a better equipped/supplied home. This was an A+++ experience.

Better than the listing

This is a beautiful home, clearly renovated with care and attention to detail. It looks great in the pictures but in person even better. The host was easy to contact and immediately responsive and check in a breeze. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathrooms very nice. I cannot say enough nice things about the Hackensack House. If I could give more than five stars, I would.Mike

Spacious, lovely indoors and out

This is a beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood set up comfortably for a large group to gather but also have some privacy. It was impeccably clean, full of perfect amentities, close to parks and biking and lakes. The yard was large and backyard private with flowers and vegetation and bird feeders attracting amazing birds. We all enjoyed and would come again and encourage others to try it too!!
