Check-In Policy
Guests must check in before 8:00 PM ET. Our office hours are 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM ET. If you plan to check in after 8:00 PM, you must inform the host in advance. Please note that if the check-in process is not completed by 8:00 PM, you will not receive the keycode to access the home, and assistance will resume at 8:00 AM the following day.

We strongly recommend that you arrive in a car as it will give you much freedom to explore and enjoy the beautiful mountain area. As you already know, we offer free parking. Although you could enjoy the 17 acres of fun this mountain home has to offer for your entire trip… having a car at the ready will allow you to see so much more during your visit. Keep an eye out for local events in the Tri-Cities, Johnson City, TN, Bristol, TN/VA, Kingsport, TN Roan Mountain, TN, and Asheville, NC as well. This could greatly enrich your trip!

There is a plethora of hiking within just a 15-20 minute drive of the house. You can hit The Appalachian Trail in just 12 minutes or go to Buffalo Mountain to hike in 15 minutes. The hiking and outdoor options are endless.

If you like to ski, snowboard, or mountain bike we highly recommend checking out Beech Mountain or Sugar Mountain for an exhilarating day on the slopes. Hiking on the hiking trails at the property is also great fun! Just be careful and wear the proper protective equipment. (We are not liable for any injuries sustained on the property when mountain biking, fishing, hiking, etc., so we encourage you to take proper precautions and protect yourself with helmets & pads when doing so.)

The new Hard Rock Bristol Casino is very close as well, and offers loads of fun if you’d like to come on down into town! Hallmark Setting

The pictures can't truly capture the peace and beauty of this property. You have to book a stay to understand. It snowed during our stay and everything we needed was furnished. The streets were cleared everyday and Walmart is 15mins away. The National Forest is the back yard and the sound of the stream and the pond is the front yard. The herd of deer came to the pond at dawn and dusk. If you're looking for peace, solitude and relaxation it's here. We have stayed at many properties throughout the years in the East TN mountains and this property is one of the best. The home is fresh, cleaned and cared for, no webs in the corners. We will return in the summer to fish the pond with our Grandkids.

Great place for family getaway

The house was clean, well equipped, and felt like home. Host was very responsive and easy to reach. Kids and adults all had a great time exploring the trails and watching the wildlife in the yard. Location is only about 20 minutes from the city making supply runs easy as well. Overall very relaxing and enoyable for all ages. Would 100% recommend.

Disappointed

We had problems contacting the property owner for check in. They assumed what beds we would use so not all had bedding. I know it can be expected for the remote are but there were ants and spiders inside the house.

Family visit -perfect place

Immaculate house in a beautiful, relaxing setting. High quality linens, responsive host. Only recommendation is to put a marker at the end of the driveway. It was hard to find especially in the dark.
