The beachfront bungalow is ideally located in the Gulf Beaches neighborhood where you can stroll or bicycle to the island’s best restaurants and eclectic boutiques. A private boardwalk whisks you over the dunes to the pearly white sands and turquoise waters of St. George Island.

This vacation rental home features a beachy, cheerful decor, plenty of space for your crew to relax inside and outside, and amazing views of the Gulf of Mexico.

The exterior of this home offers private paved parking at the front door. On the Gulf side, enjoy a private boardwalk to the beach, outdoor shower, and a park-style grill to prepare your fresh Florida seafood. An exterior staircase connects all levels of the home with expansive ocean views.

The first floor features two bedrooms. The second floor offers an open-concept living area with direct access to the covered deck that boasts a dining table and relaxing Adirondack chairs.

The living room offers high wood ceilings with a large smart TV and comfy coastal couches. The dining room seats six and the kitchen seats four at the counter. Stainless appliances appoint the well-equipped kitchen with beautiful cabinetry. A quiet office space is provided on the north side of the home for guests who need to work or study remotely. The primary suite is located on the third floor.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Great location!

Location, location! This wonderful home is on the beach and in walking distance to the restaraunts and stores. St George Island is serene and we love the beaches without a crowd. The kitchen is very well equipped. Vacasa (the property manager) was great to work with. They are responsive and give very good customer service.

The house is pleasant. Had great view and location. Stairs were a bit difficult as we are all seniors. Much of the boardwalk and railing need to be replaced. My brother in law got a few large splinters in hand and foot before he realized how bad it was.

Great location but needs more attention to detail

We really liked the location of this property and had it been better maintained and cleaned I would have rated it much higher but at the very least I expect to find all appliances to be in great working condition and things to be cleaned prior to our arrival. We found multiple dirty items in the kitchen and outdoor grill are but also sheets that did not feel like they had been washed before we arrived. We were here to relax and celebrate the life of a family member band ended up leaving early because it was a total disappointment. Never in all the years of coming to SGI did we ever experience this and I communicated with Vacasa during our stay but all we got was oh I’m sorry…enjoy the remainder of your visit. This was also my first time renting with Vacasa and I feel it may be my last.

Day Dreamer-Most RELAXING vacation I've ever had.

Don't tell anyone, but St. George's Island is amazing-if you just want to relax and enjoy the beach. Just walk out the door, and you are on the beach. This island is a hidden gem (don't tell anyone). We were within walking distance of several great restaurants and bars. One bar had live music 7 nights/week. Bring your dog, we did and she went everywhere with us-most restaurants will bring a bowl of water for your pet. She had a great time. We were a short walk to the lighthouse and on the night of the full moon, you can climb to the top and watch the moon come up over the water. This island reminds me of Florida from the 70s. If you want spring break parties, long lines at restaurants, tourist junk and putt putt golf, go to Panama City Beach. If you just want to enjoy the beach with no crowds and no extras, stay at the Day Dreamer on St. George's Island.

Lovely!

I hesitate to write this as I would love to keep St George Island a secret! Great location, easily walk to “town”. Has all the basics- a regular coffee maker, no extra spices leftover from other guests, we were able to cook for 5 without any difficulty. The grill is a camp style grill- will need charcoal and starter. The beach supplies and wagon were nice- the wagon was put to daily use to lug our stuff to the beach. Make sure the doors are latched/ locked or the air conditioner won’t run. The water filter on the kitchen sink is a nice touch for those of us that aren’t used to Florida water. One tiny maintenance issue and the guys came very quickly and resolved it. Very pleased with the whole experience.

Million dollar home with perfect views and trailer park trimmings

Location, views, ac was perfect. But ceiling had some small leaks when it rained and the coffee maker cooking gear and sink were as cheap as you can get. Spatulas that are so flimsy you can’t flip an egg. In cabinet microwave broke so they just put el cheapy on the counter. Sink was kind of gross. Faucet was as cheap as you can get. Vacasa did a poor job cleaning and said they would come fix it but never did. The house had beach stuff but wasn’t in the listing because Vacasaa rents beach gear. My suggestion to the owner is drop Vacasa and make the house like anyone would expect and nothing more. I’m still leaving 4 stars bec the location views and ac are the most important thing here.

Fall 2023 SGI Stay

I booked this a while back and was a little nervous about it after viewing the negative review left several weeks ago by another renter. However, I have to say that we enjoyed our stay at this house so much!! Was so convenient to walk to the new playground, ice cream shop, and stores and restaurants. Not far at all from Paddy’s! We felt that the house was perfectly clean. The dishwasher is not great and possibly needs repairs, but I prefer to hand wash anyways, so no problem for me. The boardwalk takes you all the way down to the beach so it’s super easy and convenient to get on the beach with small kids. We went with my in-laws, our 5 year old, 6 month old, and had the best time!

Great location on St George Island

The location is awesome. We walked everywhere and didn't move our cars all week. The downside to the location is the proximity of the other houses. The man next door smoked on his back porch every day, which made it impossible to sit outside and enjoy the beach air. The layout of the home is perfect. Lots of stairs. LOTS! But everyone had their own space with full bath. The master bed needs to be replaced! It squeaks when you move and the mattress is worn thin. Note that if you’re renting beach equipment, there is no way to roll it from the driveway (where it’s dropped off) to the beach. We got a heavy 3-person kayak and had to ask the neighbor if we could use their walkway, because we couldn’t find a way to get it to ours. The house is clean and well-stocked. We had a great week and loved the island. Next time, we’ll pay more to have a house without neighbors 5 feet away, but this was a great place for our first time.

Needs a DEEP clean

This property is really well situated relative to St. George shops. Being right on the water was wonderful. We had a great time on the beach. However, the house itself needed a really deep clean. It was just grimy everywhere. There was mold growing around the showers. There was paint peeling in many places. The floors and other surfaces had built-up dirt. The top sprayer on the dishwasher was broken, so dishes came out completely untouched and as dirty as they went in. As a result, there were unwashed dishes put away in the cabinets when we arrived, and we had to rewash everything. Also, the kitchen was really poorly stocked. There were few pans and they were terrible quality (also dirty). Another uncomfortable aspect of the property is the hard floors. There is travertine tile throughout and no rugs at all. More importantly, there are two steep staircases made also of stone tile, which would be very dangerous if someone fell down. There was no way to close off the stairs. We had a two-year-old and were on constant watch. The property should come with at least two baby gates to make it safe for families with young kids. Otherwise, the layout of property is good for its size. There are two comparable bedrooms with king beds, en suite bathrooms, and walk-out porches (one on the first floor and one on the third floor). The bathrooms are small and basic (shower/tub combos). It would have been wonderful if I hadn't been constantly uncomfortable about the uncleanliness.

Needs Improvement

While I'm sure this was once a beautiful home, it is in need of a lot of minor repairs. The appliances are all old and need to be replaced. Paint is peeling everywhere. Boards need to be replaced on the boardwalk to the beach and at the sides of the house. The mattresses were all horrible. The jetted tubs no longer work. All of these would not prevent me from booking this home again except the mattresses. Please upgrade!! Perfect location and you couldn't ask for a better view. Well equipped for all our needs.
