Great location and nice views

This is a very nice condo in a great location with lots of light through the big windows (including gorgeous sunrises and sunsets), wonderful views of the bay with the Queen Mary in sight, a comfortable bed, and a fully functional and good sized kitchen and bathroom.

Beautiful Long Beach getaway

I had a great time staying at this Ocean getaway. The apartment was just as pictured- modern/ updated and clean with a great view! Linda was an amazing host, very welcoming, helpful and quick to respond.

Great studio close to the convention center. I was worried about not having a/c, but I just opened the windows and the multiple fans were plenty to keep the studio cool. Room looks exactly as pictured. Great view of the queen mary from the roof.

Small and quaint

We had a wedding to attend near by. Used the time check some of the sights. We thought it was a one bedroom but it was a studio. Very cute and comfortable.

Lovely Location

This studio has been thoughtfully appointed and renovated with style - whilst still embracing the retro vibe. Our host communicated throughout the booking process and again in the days leading up to our stay. She was prompt and helpful, and even accommodated an extended checkout. We would certainly recommend both her as a host & also her well-located pied-a-terre.

Living in the past while being in the present

Absolutely loved living in an 100+ historical condominium. The condo was beautifully updated while maintaining the 1920's charm. Walking distance to key attractions shoreline village, Pikes. and many more. Spectacular views of the ocean, downtown LBC with Queen Mary in the background. Our host provided all the amenities needs to enjoy a real home like experience. I highly recommended and hope to visit again sooner than later🙂

Everything was as advertized, only thing to keep in mind is that the rental is on the 9th floor facing east and has no A/C. So for the hours the sun shines directly into it, you might as well be outside.

Typically, the weather in Long Beach is pretty mild and opening the windows for the ocean breeze is enough to cool off the unit. But I will be providing a portable AC unit for future guests. Pros - Prime location for many attractions - Remodeled place with good utilities - Kitchen is good Cons - No AC - Noisy environment at night - heard lots of noises on road that is audible, as the glass doors are thin - Lift is bit old, i saw the maintenance date was outdated

Hi, thanks for providing feedback on your stay at the historic Sovereign in downtown Long Beach. I am glad you enjoyed to location and the kitchen. I am sorry you experienced some noise at night as this is not typical since the unit is on the 9th floor facing away from the street. If the heavy black-out curtains are drawn they should muffle any noise from the outside. The elevator is vintage style in keeping with the historical character of the building and undergoes maintenance on a regular basis:)

Checkin was fairly easy. And great to have parking included. Very nice to have a kitchen along with coffee maker, coffee, creamer & tea. The only seating is two metal bar stools and two chairs. WiFi is not strong. Luckily we have unlimited data so we used that, but couldn't stream to TV. The building is old but the unit is updated. We were there when it was cold and rainy. The windows don't seal well. We Could hear sirens on emergency vehicles throughout the night. When it stormed the windows rattled and it sounded like they would blow out. There's also a window in the shower that doesn't seal well so constant draft. It was cold in the unit. The bedding was worn.
