Looking for a Gulf Front beach getaway with breathtaking views and an ocean as far as the eye can see? Then Cape Daze is the perfect beach destination for you! In the mornings, enjoy a peaceful and beautiful sunrise over the bay from the front porch, and in the evenings become captivated with a breathtaking sunset on the back porch, facing the ocean.

Cape Daze has 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths and sleeps 9 people.

The King suite is located on the top floor, facing the Gulf, with its own private balcony. In this room enjoy your own private bath. Also on this floor is a queen room with beautiful bay views with a private bathroom.

The third bedroom is another queen room right off of the kitchen with a bathroom.

On the bottom floor is the bunk room with a full on bottom and a twin on top.

The main floor is the heart of the home, with a fully stocked kitchen that overlooks the bay, a dining area for the whole family and the living room that opens right into your front deck onto the beach.

Perfect Beach Getaway!

Fabulous Family Spot

We loved our stay. Accommodations were great. The beach was soooo quiet and the walk was the shortest we have ever experienced. Look out one way and it’s the bay and look out the other way and it’s the ocean. Sunrise to sunset- it’s a fabulous spot to enjoy.

Inaccurate Listing

Our family stayed at this property and experienced numerous issues, which we reported to the host but never received a response. VRBO later issued a 300 refund to cover damaged clothing. 1.Cleanliness: We found cockroach and mice droppings in the bottom bedroom and utility closet, raising concerns about pest control.2.Furniture Safety: The bunk bed was broken on arrival. We had to splint it ourselves to make it safe.3.Bedding: None of the beds had mattress pads, and the mattresses were old and uncomfortable, especially the king bed with a large hump in the middle.4.General Cleanliness: Vents and fans were covered in thick dust. Mold and mildew were present in sinks and showers.5.Safety: The utility closet door couldn’t be secured. We used a ratchet strap and parked a car in front for peace of mind as our young daughters slept nearby.6.Inaccurate Listing: The listing showed direct beach access, but it was unusable due to erosion. We had to walk far to find safe access, difficult for our elderly parents and young kids.7.Worn Furniture: The living room furniture was worn to the point of discomfort. A closet door was broken and leaning inside the closet.8.Water Pressure: Water pressure was so low the washer, dishwasher, and showers were barely usable. We returned home with dirty laundry and ripped clothing from the washing machine running without water. These issues made for a stressful stay.

Wonderful stay

We’ve stayed in this home three years in a row. Our family of six loves the location and how this part of the beach is especially quiet. Being able to bring our dog to the beach is extra special! The stars on a clear night are absolutely mind blowing due to such a dark beach at night. You can actually see the Milky Way! Whenever our favorite things is to have a fire on the beach at night, roast marshmallows, and watch the stars! If you’re lucky, you’ll see the bioilluminesence in the water as well!

A Cape San Blas Gem!

This will be my 9th stay since 2010 at Cape San Blas and my most perfect property. The home is large and very accomodating but despite that it feels warm and cozy. The view from both main floors can't be beat and to make things even better the communication and help from the property manager made everything easy

This home is gorgeous and in the perfect spot. You can not beat the gorgeous sunsets directly from the back porch! This is our fifth year traveling to this area and by far the best rental we have ever had there. I highly recommend! Thank you for the perfect trip!

Very clean kitchen stocked with most any cooking items needed nice views of bay and gulf area from front and back decks just a few steps from the gulf beach, would have preferred bathrooms in with the queen bedrooms also needs extra washcloths for each bedroom only one supplied.All and all we enjoyed our stay!

Perfect house in the perfect location! South end of the cap is much less crowded and this house is literally steps away. Everything we needed was there and the host was incredible to deal with. No need to look around, book this one if available. We sure will next time!

We found the property well appointed, very clean and very well designed. The wide expanse of the gulf greats you every morning and night and we sat with our wine and bade the sun good night. We were fortunate to have cloudless, if cool, skies and the ever present ocean breeze. The location is perfect, close both to the park and Port St Joe. Lots of steps but I liked the entry to discard shoes and keep the sand at bay. Beds were comfortable and even tho close to the road we heard no sound but the sighing of the waves. We had a lovely time.

Relaxing week.

This place was great. Literally steps from the beach and water. The kitchen was stocked very well for cooking and preparing meals, and the layout of the house worked perfectly for us. My only complaint is that the deck furniture is awful. The table and chairs were so uncomfortable...those cheap plastic chairs that bend and break easily. There were plenty of Adirondack chairs that were ok, but when you sit in them, the deck railing is in the way and you can't see the water. I was looking forward to eating meals on the deck and it just wasn't possible. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

Location was amazing, everything else was meh

The location is perfect, on the narrowest part of the cape allowing for both ocean and bay views. The sunsets (and rises) were absolutely spectacular! That's where the 5-star review ends for me. The interior is dated as we knew going in, but it was also not very clean. There were mildew/stain around vents and burnt-out overhead lights. The pillows, bedding and towels were awful - old, cheap and inadequate, but also disgustingly stained. For example, two standard-size pillows on a queen-sized bed. We took a decorative sham off a pillow to discover body fluid stains. The same with many of the towels. The bedspreads were old and faded. There were no extra blankets (which actually went and bought some)... no shower amenities, not even a full roll or back-up roll of toilet paper!(fortunately we did an Instacart pick-up prior to our arrival). None of us slept well due to the overall ick-factor. The house definitely needs remodeling, but a super deep clean, a quick paint job, and a visit to HomeGoods for linens and Costco for new pans and cutlery would have made our experience a thousand times better. Our family spends Thanksgiving week at the beach every year and I absolutely love this location. The owners were friendly and quickly resolved the burnt-out lights. I'll keep a look out for progress on the house itself. We have rented homes and apartments throughout the US and Europe so I feel I have a good breadth of experience upon which to write this review.
