Wonderful location, and loved the ease of access to the beach. Plus, the pool was not far from us, at all. Coolest thing was doing a bonfire on the beach. Great condo for the family. It did have a lot of stairs, but we taught our toddler how to use the stairs safely and we had such a smooth week. Loved the balconies over looking the beach. Ashley was super helpful during our stay!
Great location on the beach! Listened to waves crash all night, played in them during the day. Close to state park so when the waves get too crazy on the beach we could take kids to Eagle Harbor and play on the sand flat in St Joseph Bay. Great location!
Property was gorgeous. Had all the amenities you would need for a perfect beach vacation. Even a covered shower outside to rinse off after a day in the sand!
Would absolutely book again in the future!
The property was well equipped and gorgeous. Ocean front view from all floors. We enjoyed family time with my son and his family and my husband. We had one great sunny day on the beach and cold and rainy the other days but gave us an opportunity to visit and watch movies.
One caution if elderly visitors the stairs will get to you, we all left with sore calves. :)
The house is well renovated, clean and in a great location in the barrier dunes community. We had everything we needed and then some! Would definitely recommend this spot and would definitely stay again.
Wonderful! Our third year at this rental. Canât find a better place to rent and Cape San Blas is the best hidden gem of the Emerald coast. Ashley is easy to work with, she keeps you informed and checks with you during your stay to make sure all is going well. Canât wait for next year!!
Perfect location. Beachside with all the amenities. If youâre looking for a good place to walk around away from the beach go to Appalachicola lots of neat shops. Then eat lunch at the Grill. The shrimp poboys are wonderful.
Our family of 5 adults plus two small dogs had a great time. Town house is close to beach and easy to access. Shout out to Ashley for working with our grocery delivery service to allow access before we even arrived. Much appreciated!
We had an excellent time during our week stay. The condo had everything we needed. It was very clean and the owner was easy to work with. You just can't beat the views from this condo, especially from the 3rd story balcony. It's a short and convenient walk to the beach and pool. We will definitely be back.
Overall it was a good visit. The drawback was neighbors on one side that smoked on their balcony and neighbors on the other side had three dogs that barked. The balconies are not designed with privacy in mind.
The view was good
We really enjoyed our stay this past week. The unit was just perfect. Furnishings and beds were very comfortable and the unit was spotless upon our arrival. The kitchen was well stocked with more than we needed. I think the balconies and beautiful view of the beach was our favorite spot. Didn't even have to leave the deck to see the sunsets. Our host, Ashley, was very helpful with check in and was very responsive to any of the questions we had after check in. We look forward to returning again in the same spot.
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Cape. We found everything that we needed and more at the property. The house was beautiful and was very well maintained. It has been recently redecorated. The scenery was breathtaking. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. We literally could not have asked for anything more. The perfect relaxing week. We hope to rent this property again!
Weâre now spoiled from ever not staying beachfront again. Three deck/balconies directly facing the gulf made morning mimosas, sunset happy hour and late night stargazing the best weâve ever experienced. The kitchen had everything we needed and way more than weâd have expected. Ashley was incredibly responsive to the few minor issue we had (all a result of the floors having just been redone). And best of all, we were just steps away from the sand. We would without question book this property again.
From booking forward, Ashley was great to deal with. Sheâs got some of the best checkin & checkout docs Iâve seen and she communicated with us throughout our stay. The unit is at the far end of the Barrier Dunes complex and directly faces the water; itâs the second of four units in the building when you approach. We prefer the north end of the peninsula so this is the perfect location for us, quick access to the state park on foot via the beach or in your car. The condo was extremely clean & very well stocked. It was actually better stocked than many of the larger houses weâve rented on the Cape. The clean grill was a huge bonus. The unit faces West and has three decks facing the Gulf, each with a great view. Beach access is easy with stairs right off the main floor deck and a pathway to the beach access point directly next to the building.Unit has a ton of chairs in a secure closet under the house. Trash is also located under the house. Unlike many other rentals trash must be placed on the curb for pick up in bags. With 3 flights of stairs make sure youâre prepared to carry heavy items upstairs, especially if using the suite on the top floor. This was not a problem with just two of us but if traveling with a larger family or seniors keep this in mind.Lastly, if you drive a large vehicle (Iâve got an F250) parking under the house is feasible but backing out is a challenge. Next time Iâll inquire about parking in the small lot around the corner. We will be back!
The property was clean and a great location. It does, however, need some maintenance. We would like to have left the door open onto the balcony on the main floor, but because of a large hole in the screen we chose not to. Didn't want bugs or frogs in the house with us. Never used the upper balconies because the very flimsy plastic chairs were so dirty. Sliding door on the main floor needs some attention as it is extremely difficult to open. Also thread bare towels. If you want to use the outdoor grill, you must go to the storage area and get the propane tank and hook it up. (we did not). A couple of the balusters on the balcony were loose. BUT, the location is excellent for enjoying the view of the gulf. We saw several dolphins everyday! The kitchen was well supplied. The condo was very clean. We fell in love with the area. Just a bit more attention/maintenance and it would be perfect.
I have owned this home since 1995 when I first visited with my husband and two girls. We fell in love instantly with the pace and beauty of Cape San Blas and have owned two properties in the area over the years. My girls are grown now but we all still visit our beautiful home away from home when we can!
The location of this property on Cape San Blas is unmatched. Besides the obvious beachfront draw, the community of Barrier Dunes is located at the edge of the residential portion of the cape which bumps up against state-preserved state park land. The beauty and privacy this location bring truly allow its visitors to unplug and soak up the sunsets.
We pride ourselves on keeping a well-stocked home. We hope you'll find everything you need in the home during your stay (if not, please let us know for future visitors!). We even include a starter set of disposables like paper towels, toilet paper, and soaps, so that you're not in a bind if you get in town late. We've tried to think of everything, since we ourselves stay in the home regularly.
