Ski-In/Ski-Out Single-Family Mountain Village Home
Summary:
CODE 23 Low Dog - 4 Bedrooms- 4 Bathrooms - Sleeps 10 - Private Hot Tub - Mountain Village Location
The Space:
This unique, creek-side home with a minimalist and yet homey feel, melts into the mountain surroundings. The four-story layout allows you to spread out and come together in style with thoughtful spaces arranged to encompass family, friends, and beautiful memories. 23 Low Dog offers four bedrooms, two with en-suite full bathrooms and two hallway bathrooms, as well as two washers and dryers making it the perfect place where friends, and couples come to indulge in nature. During the summer months, open up the windows or relax on the deck to enjoy the peaceful sounds of the flowing creek just behind the house. For the full rejuvenating effect of your Montana vacation, make sure to relax with a morning cup of coffee or evening beverage in the private hot tub as wildlife frequents the area. After checking out the local culinary options, allow the chef in your group show off his or her mastery and enjoy preparing a home-cooked meal while using the spacious kitchen set up (fully equipped) and BBQ grill on the deck.
It is said that location is everything and at 23 Low Dog, look no farther for the perfect Montana experience. This luxury vacation rental sits at the base of Andesite Mountain at Big Sky Resort, offering world class ski-in/ski-out during the winter months and mountain access during the summer months! For those who want to make first tracks while the rest of the group is still sipping coffee by the fireplace, simply head down the driveway, and you make your way alongside the road for two quick minutes to the Thunder Wolf Lift. Big Skyâs Mountain Village is also within walking distance and has all the shops and restaurants one might need. In addition, Lake Levinsky is a short jaunt from the house and presents the perfect way to make use of a hot summer day with paddle boarding, fishing, kayaking, and more.
Nestled in the scenic heart of the Madisons, Big Sky, Montana, offers an unparalleled base for year-round adventures. Located just an hour from both Yellowstone National Park and the vibrant college town of Bozeman, this charming community is perfectly positioned for exploration.
âBasecamp to Yellowstoneâ at Big Sky Resort serves as the ultimate launchpad for outdoor enthusiasts. In the summer, embark on scenic lift rides, guided hikes, and adrenaline-pumping activities like mountain biking and ziplining. The resort's Adventure Zipline is particularly thrilling, featuring four lines that span up to 1,500 feet and soar 150 feet above the forest floor, offering breathtaking views of Lone Mountain and the Spanish Peaks. For a more relaxed experience, the Nature Zipline provides a scenic journey suitable for all ages.
Big Sky Mountain Village, situated at the base of the resort, boasts a variety of shopping and dining options, making it a convenient and lively spot for visitors. Additionally, the charming Town Center of Big Sky is rapidly developing, offering a burgeoning scene of local shops, eateries, and cultural attractions.
Whether you're seeking exhilarating outdoor activities or a peaceful retreat in nature, Big Sky provides the perfect setting for your Montana adventures.
Ski-in/Ski-out Access | Best for skiers, but also possible for snowboarders who are up for some flat road sections.
Ski-Out: Travel down the road to the Thunderwolf Lift, or for the less experienced walk up the road to the Bear Back Poma (about a 5-minute walk).
Ski-In: Intermediate and Experts need to take Silverknife to Bear Back Poma. Ski past the bottom of the Poma on the ski trail to Low Dog Road. From here ski the road back to the house. We recommend beginners ski to the Summit Hotel and walk out the front of the hotel and ski the road the whole way back down to Low Dog Road. Silver Knife may be too steep for beginners. Note: During periods of melting the road could be exposed and cause the property to lose ski access since the road is necessary for parts of the process. The home is only ski-in/ski-out accessible when the road is snow-covered.
Bedroom Layout:
Master (third level) : King bed with en suite bathroom with shower
Bedroom 2 (third level): Two twin over twin bunk beds (sleeps 4) with shared hallway bathroom with shower
Bedroom 3 (fourth level): Queen bed with en suite bathroom with shower
Bedroom 4 (fourth level): Twin over Queen bunk bed with shared hallway bathroom
Loft (top level): Futon (sleeps 1)
Getting Around:
We highly recommend that our guests rent a 4x4 vehicle during the winter months (October-May). Please be aware that shuttle services must be booked in advance, and rideshare options like Uber or Lyft are unavailable in the area.
Other Things to Note:
Parking: the driveway holds up to 2 vehicles.
Interaction with Guests:
Your Super Host, Ascend Properties, is local and readily available to address any requests you may have during your stay.
