Cozy two bedroom/1 bath waterfront home with available kayaks. The Home is located on a canal off the Weeki Wachee River with river access and also leads to the Gulf of Mexico. Kayak right from the backyard! Fishing is plentiful right off of our private dock. The fish cleaning station is located on the deck for your convenience. There is a spacious backyard for your pets to play and do their business. Escape the harsh elements under the covered patio with a grill, plenty of seating and even hammocks to relax in. Wild Florida is right at your fingertips. Bird watching, fishing, and dolphin spotting are all plentiful, and Manatees are known to frequent the canal to say hello. Come relax in old Florida where time seems to slow down for a while.
Great location! Beautifully decorated, comfortable old FL style bungalow was perfect for our little clan. Would ask to rent again in the future & I have already referred all of my family here đ
We loved our stay over Memorial Day weekend! The house was clean, the linens on the beds seemed brand new, and there was a topper on the master bed so we didnât have any of the issues of the previous reviewer. The kitchen was well equipped, the only thing we could have used that was missing was a cookie sheet. But we were able to cook all of our meals with no issues. The backyard was beautiful and we made good use of the kayaks and SUP and saw dolphins and manatees when we took them out. The location was incredibly convenient, just a few minutes from pine island and the state park and not far from grocery stores. Overall we had a lovely stay and hope to come back again for a longer stay in the future!
This property is such a lovely find. The highlights were the deck and covered porch in the back overlooking the canal. The owners thought of everything: kayaks, fishing poles, gas grill, everything youâd need to have a wonderful time.
The interior was decorated so nicely with all the conveniences youâd really ever need. They supplied soaps and shampoos along with fresh towels. I was very impressed with all of the small touches.
The main thing to improve would have to be the bed in the master bedroom. Iâm not super picky, but it was very uncomfortable and the sheets were very worn. The air conditioner unit was so loud that it was difficult to sleep. We almost left a night early because of it. We didnât sleep well either nights. my suggestion would be to replace that bed with something newer or at least the mattress and sheets, and also install a mini split system which operates quieter.
I would also suggest to put an A/C unit in the extra bedroom which got quite warm even at night. For the future, I would consider installing another bathroom in the master bedroom because thereâs ample room. It would make things a lot easier.
I hate to even complain because we had such a good time ( despite horrible sleep), and the owners were so careful to make sure this experience was a good one.
Its a cute little house with a nice hangout spot out back. The house could use a bit more detailed cleaning and offer more cooking supplies such as pans and what not. The water heater doesn't work very well, maybe 20 minutes of hot water. The dryer takes forever to dry, had to run it 3 times per load. The mattress on the master bed could use a replacement. However, the house is in a wonderful area and is very cute. We would definitely stay again, would just bring more things we needed.
The house is perfectly clean and spacious and has just about everything one would need. Kids room has bunk beds and a tv. The backyard is just lovely. It has a large covered area, paved, has a shed with 4 kayaks, yard games, outdoor sink, dock, and fishing poles. My kids caught fish and we had tons of fun with the kayaks. My husband said he wants to retire there.
