POOL - Waterfront and Dreamy Views - Private Beach Access

This waterway home located in the private subdivision of Pointe West gives you spectacular views of the marsh and Intracoastal Waterway! Watch the deer and other wildlife roam the marsh. Ocean view from 3 of the bedrooms and office nook. Enjoy relaxing by your own private pool. Easy walk to the beach. Private beach access located at the end of the street (between 1049 & 1053 OBW). Beautiful gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances. A second refrigerator/freezer is located on the ground floor, along with a commercial ice maker for easy access when relaxing by the pool, grilling out and filling coolers. Separate sitting area on first level equipped with TV. Fresh paint and décor in all common areas exudes a beachy vibe. All the amenities for a memory-making vacation!

***Pool can be heated upon advance notice for a fee. Pools are heated to a maximum of 87-88 degrees but can only maintain a temperature of 8-10 degrees above the outside temperature. Pool heaters cannot operate if the temperature outside is below 55 degrees. Pool heater will not be turned on May-August. ***

House is big and beautiful. Lots of space and a well stocked kitchen with lots of tools at our disposal. When we first arrived there were a few minor things in the cleanliness but we were at the beach surrounded by sand. Beds were comfy. I did see some features that may need servicing or updating but I also saw some things that had been updated since previous reviews so they do respond to people's reviews and concerns. Overall a great stay.
This is the fishing dock we ou have access to. Very nice.

Easy to find and access the keys. Lovely setting and much wildlife to view in the marsh. Deer, spoon bills, egrets, etc. Neighborhood dock is available on the Intercoastal Waterway for fishing and those who have boats or kayaks like us. Kitchen is lovely and well equipped and part of an overall lovely open living and dining room.

Lovely House

This is a lovely house in a wonderful location! Management is quite responsive, the beach is close and convenient. Our only gripe (but upsetting) was that our neighbor, a year around resident, seemed to always be “spying” on us, and constantly reprimanding all of us ( kids and adults) for not obeying some very “picky” rules! For this reason, we have sadly decided not to return.

Great Stay, Amazing View - Beach Hair Don’t Care!

Absolutely outstanding! This beach house exceeded every expectation. The view was breathtaking, perfect for sunrise coffee or sunset cocktails. Inside, it was incredibly well-stocked with everything we could possibly need, and the mattresses were unbelievably comfortable (we all slept like babies!). The beach cart and toys were a great bonus and made beach days so easy. We spent a ton of time in the pool, which was clean and perfect for both kids and adults. The short walk to the beach was a breeze, and strolling to the fishing pier became one of our favorite routines. Having the extra fridge was such a plus for storing drinks and snacks.Communication with the owner prior to our stay was also excellent - she was friendly, responsive, and answered all of my questions quickly, which made arrival and check-in stress-free.If we had to name one minor downside, it would be that the cookware was a little worn, but it didn’t take away from the overall amazing experience. Truly an outstanding stay!

Lovely Stay

Great location, easy beach access and plenty of room for our group. Kitchen is well stocked with dinnerware and cookware/pans, which was a nice surprise. Beach chairs/cart were helpful since we’re not local. All the adults agreed we’d stay at that home again.

Family get together

We had a great time with our children and six grandchildren . Both military families with a week of leave that gave us cherished memories. The layout was perfect, the location was excellent ( short walk to the beach and neighborhood dock) we would rent again if the timing works! Thank you!

Family vacation

We had a great week at Holden Beach. The house and pool were great and beach access was very convenient. Elevator was a great addition especially for moving in and out. The only thing missing was a hose to rinse off beach stuff.

Wonderful Stay

We came to celebrate our son’s 12th birthday with his brother. Everything was as described in the listing. Loved the ease of checking in and out. The location was great! The owner was quick to respond when we had a few hiccups. Looking forward to our next visit!

Enjoyed the stay

Besides the weather Easter weekend, we enjoyed our stay. The place had plenty of room for the 5 of us. The kids had there own floor while my wife and I had our own. The place is perfect for a beach vacation, especially if the weather cooperates and that is all you want to do. The only thing I would bring up is that it takes a good ride to goto shopping and restaurants. Bottom line we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful marsh view. Close to beach 2 blocks with private walkway.small pool with lots of toys. Well furnished kitchen. Elevator which comes in handy during arrival & departure. Very quiet neighborhood. Bed & bath linens provided which is also a plus.

Annual beach vacation

House was a great space for the family beach vacation. The elevator was a great help with getting all the gear into the house. Marsh views were wonderful and the walkway to the dock on the intercoastal waterway was fun. The walk to the beach was not an issue and the private access was nice. Contact with the owner was easy. A welcome notebook describing all the amenities of the house would be helpful addition. We will consider staying again.

Love the location!

Great floor plan and beautiful views of the marsh to watch deer families daily!! Wish the deck was larger off of the living area
would love to have more room to eat, sit, and chat out there :). When we arrived the ice maker (essential!!) was not working. The host responded quickly, and even had bags of ice delivered immediately. Owner kept us informed about getting it fixed. Very responsive and responsible, and kind. We had a great week!!

Our Families Vacation

We were overall pleased with our experience. However, there were not any storage containers in the kitchen. The guys were not pleased that it was so difficult to get the TV’s functionality. The cleanness overall was acceptable. We found that the fire pit was such a wonderful & welcome experience. Our families enjoyed making s’mores together several nights. Having the additional refrigerator & ice maker on the first level was so convenient for being at the pool or packing coolers for the beach.

Family beach trip

Home was on a quiet setting overlooking the marsh . Beautiful views and sunsets . Short walk to beach was nice . The home worked pretty well for our family although it would be better for us if there was a queen vs the double and twins vs a trundle bed . The coffe pot did not work the first morning and we drove to Walmart about 15 Mi away to get one and the owners offered to reimburse . Pool area is small and quite slippery on the deck . Older pool furniture needs to be replaced . When we asked if we could get the heater turned on, they did it and pro rated the fee . Overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely consider going back !

VRBO Listing Misleading

Neighborhood/location is beautiful and beach access is very convenient, but the home is suffering from significant deferred maintenance and inattention. The home was not clean when we arrived (toddler’s feet filthy w/in minutes of arrival from walking on hardwood floors,blanket on master bed dirty/covered with hair, mold in tile showers, spiderwebs/dirt on ceiling over kitchen table, etc). The owner did call the cleaning company to come back, but it did not help much. Carpet in all of the bedrooms and stair entry area into house is old, filthy, and wrinkling in spots. Stair area smells of mildew and there were sand spurs in the bedroom carpet that we unfortunately stepped on.Area around the laundry room smells strongly of mold- possibly due to significant molding of the washing machine door. Hardwood floors upstairs are badly damaged/scratched due to furniture with no sliders. Main refrigerator ice/water dispenser not working. Outdoor areas had not been blown off or swept, and exterior entries not cleaned - all covered in dirt, sand,and debris. Grass was the highest in the neighborhood and was not cut until our last day. Furniture is older and some is damaged. VRBO pictures are misleading. (There is no bed in the second master bedroom- just a mattress on a frame.Bed is broken in a closet). We feel the listing was misleading,and the house was not acceptable for the rates charged. We rely heavily on VRBO reviews when deciding on a rental, and feel very let down this time.

Nice home

We enjoyed our stay at this cute home. A few issues--Rebecca (owner) was very responsive. Pros: roomy house- nicely decorated. Nice large pantry. Short walk to beach. Having 2 refrigerators and ice maker was huge. Fishing dock was nice. The area was quite. Owners supplied a lot of beach supplies--wagon-rafts beach toys. Corn hole. Outside showers were great. Cons: a lot of insects probably due to the marsh. Decks were very narrow so really couldnt be used to sit out with a group. The outside patio was a nice area but we had to clean it before it could be used. Had to fill the propane tank. Pool area was a needs new furniture and landscaping. Rebecca saide she would be taking care of it. The carpet needs replaced on the stairs in the entry--very dirty and smelly. Overall it was a nice rental. Love Holden Beach

Our stay in Pointe West

We enjoyed our stay, house was nice but wish there were two sets of bunk beds, Kids were on the floor, because they wanted to sleep together. The outside is poorly maintained-weeds and foot high grass. The palm trees over the pool were shedding back stuff all over the lounge chairs. There were 3 broken lounge chairs that were just sitting there, the fence is ready to fall down and the pool light is STILL broken and laying on the bottom of the pool. Kitchen was well stocked. Appreciated the beach towels although I brought my own not knowing they were there. We had no owner's manual and had to get the beach code from a neighbor. Would have loved to see another table in the main level, I brought two card tables and 2 chairs so we had room to play games, work a puzzle and have room to dine (we had 12 and only sitting for11). Loved the view., wish the skinny porch had more sitting so we could all enjoy it. Propane tank was empty, that was a bummer. We used the charcoal grill with not too much success. We did have a great time and appreciate the use of your house.

Beautiful house

House was beautiful and enjoyed very much. House and occupants did well through hurricane. My daughter’s wedding was so beautiful and was nice to relax after rhe wedding. The carpet needs replacing on 1st floor. Ice machine was a good touch. The kitchen was fully stocked and was easy to cook in. Sad that it is all over but have exceptional memories.

Had a great time and house was nice. Had a few minor issues.

The house was very nice and we all had a good time. Enough room for everyone, good location and lots of amenities. The pool area was very nice as well. We have some unique challenges because my wife is disabled and in a wheelchair so some aspects of the house were challenging for her. The doorways to the outside showers were very narrow, which isn't a huge problem for non-disabled, but it was very challenging to get my wife in there to shower. The elevator was big enough for her wheelchair, but it was a very tight fit. ?We had to put here in by herself and then call the elevator from the floor she wanted to go to. I was a little uncomfortable with her being in there by herself because she is totally paralyzed. But that is our unique situation and wouldn't affect a family with no disabilities. The pool light was not attached to the side of the pool when we arrived and was hanging free which was a little concerning. We weren't sure how thorough we needed to clean after, it just said to put linens in laundry room. We did clean and vacuumed and started dish washer and left it pretty tidy, but didn't do serious cleaning. Got an email today stating that our insurance that we had to purchase was being charged for the pool light (which was like that when we arrived), a reference to spaghetti cleanup (which was possible because we had kids who can be a little messy sometimes) and an extra cleaning fee (for exactly what I am not sure, but in fairness we didn't deep clean anything). I don't think we have to pay that, but that was an unpleasant surprise. It was actually pretty stupid of us to swim with the light like it was and I should have called that in immediately. Overall it was a very good little vacation and if my wife wasn't in a wheelchair, I would probably rent again.

Our Family's Mini Vaca...

This house was beautiful, just as everything was described. The only issues I had was the Internet wasn't working which could happen anywhere. And, all the service fees was just as much as the house. We could have went with a bigger house that cost more and had lower fees. It was my first time using VRBO, I know now what to look for. The kicker was, the home owner filed a claim for damages to 2 comforters, 2 pillow shams and wash clothes. She didn't say anything to me about it but the insurance company emailed me. This was disturbing to me to find out because we had not messed anything up. But all in all it was a good trip

Wonderful ☀

This was an amazing property.The house was well large enough to accommodate my large family (6).The house had 2 Masters which were amazing. Not to mention an elevator!!!! The pictures are just like the listing beautiful. The check in was very easy. The house had plenty of kitchen supplies which made cooking and cleaning very easy. The pool was amazing also had plenty of float’s, noodles. The beach was just a short walk away and it private access to beach. The beach felt as if we had our own little spot . The owner was very quick to respond to any issues I had in a very timely manner. I would give this rental a 10/ out of 10 and I would recommend it to anyone looking to have a fun relaxing beach vacation.
