Your family will enjoy the comfort of our home as well as the local amenities such as Fisherman's village, Tuckers grade for alligators or the local night life. Punta Gorda is a biker friendly community with many accommodations in walking distance.
The property we rented sustained substantial damage in last fall's hurricane, however we were assured repairs would be complete by the time our rental began. Most work was complete, but some remained, especially yard cleanup and finishing details. Our visit began with a misunderstanding over what day we were to arrive. We ended up staying three days at a friend's house. Our host, Krista, gladly refunded what we felt we were due for the error.Shortly after moving in it was apparent that there was a sewer blockage. It took some time to resolve, but we understand this sort of thing can happen anywhere and we don't blame Krista.Once these were resolved things got much better and we really enjoyed our visit. Krista worked hard to improve appearances, including new patio furniture. The website did not make clear that the building includes two units, and we still aren't sure whether effective locks keep the two units secured from both sides.Despite our trials and tribulations, it's quite likely we'll want to visit this property again.
Had a great experience at property. Although I was surprised this was a 2 unit property, where 1/2 house is rented to another guest and outdoor property shared. The yard was large with plenty of space for kids to play. Outdoor grill, fire pit, and some seating were available for use. Property was having maintenance completed near our entrance during our stay, so that was the only issue with the cleanliness of the property-could have had a more presentable area even given the work being done. Otherwise location was convenient. Inside the home was light and airy and met our needs. Would stay again.
Pictures are NOT ACCURATE. Hurricane damage with a wham bam construction job that is unfinished. Exposed electrical, uneven and unfinished flooring, bedroom light doesnât work, saw and drywall dust everywhere, and a gap under the entry door that allowed unwanted visitors to come in. This place is not safe for a young child and my daughter got hurt several times. The house has been essentially cut in half to make a duplex. It is not private as listed. You can hear everything from the other unit as there is a door with a gap separating the âunits.â Shared laundry and outdoor space. Had issues checking in and the host sent her cleaning lady. She never responded to any messages through the app even when I said the listing was inaccurate and my daughter was getting hurt. I did see her in person day two but she did nothing to help the situation. I am contesting the change with my bank.
When we got there owner sent message that door code wasnât working but told us how to get in with a key. Place was clean and well equipped for our needs. On the older side and could use some upgrades. We didnât know there were 2 apartments there. One negative is that the bedroom light didnât work. I sent a message to owner but never heard from her. Light was never fixed and we had to use hallway light to see in bedroom
It's a cute 2 room plus a bathroom, apartment. It's quite bright in the main living and kitchen area from the 8 LEDs on the ceiling. Having a desk lamp or a floor lamp would've been great. It says there is a grille, it's a small charcoal grille, really unusable. The kitchen has every utensil that you could ever want, plates dishes cups coffee cups Silverware... loaded !! Everything in the Apt was very clean.
I don't remember the listing ever mentioning that this is a ground level duplex, I was unaware that I would be sharing a house with another guest. I didn't have a problem with that but it would've been nice to know. The property is in a prime location of Punta Gorda there are so many shops and restaurants less than 3 miles away. Cassidy was Great in getting back to me with the requests that I had. Thank you
