This house is full of Character and Charm! Centrally located within walking distance of Cowley College and minutes from great restaurants and other essentials in Ark City. This cozy home has 4 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. 3 bedrooms have queen beds, the kid's room have twin beds, plus a fun tent, chalkboard, and board games. All bedrooms are upstairs and 2 of the bedrooms walk out onto a beautiful patio. Living room has leather sofa recliners, kitchen is fully equipped, and washer and dryer available in laundry room.

Excellent accommodations

The Charming Chestnut is a wonderful home. Although it is an older house (1910 I believe), it is in excellent condition with a lot of modern features. The kitchen is well equipped for just about any meal you may want to prepare. The bathrooms have been remodeled with modern fixtures and include plenty of towels. They even included complimentary items such as a toothbrush, soaps, and shampoos in case you forgot to pack those items. Rachelle, the hostess, was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. She even offered an earlier check-in time because the house had not been rented the previous day. We would not hesitate to book this home again if we are ever in the need of accommodations in the future.

Charming!

We were in town for a weekend of Cowley baseball games. The Charming Chestnust was centrally located, very clean, roomy and well stocked with everything we needed. Rachelle was very attentive and accommodating to all of our needs. The communication and check in/out process was easy. We will definitely book here again for future trips.

Nice quiet place to stay with family

Nice Quiet place to stay with family and catch up it's just around the corner from a grocery store. It's in a good neighborhood also located just a few blocks from what looked like a police station.

Cosy, country house

We really enjoyed our stay. It had plenty of room for us, it was very clean, loved sitting on the porch and balcony. Just can not say enough about how nice it was to stay in such a lovely house.

In town for a rabbit show

Everything was clean and comfortable. There could have been a few more cooking devices, like an electric frying pan and crockpot. Was a nice rest and a comfortable stay

Nice furnishings

The inside of the house was very nice. There were plenty of restaurants and grocery stores near by. There was a park nearby that had an old train steam engine that was a hit with my husband.

Warm Summer Days

Good to have a "place of our own" when we come to town, rather than a hotel room. The kitchen could be better supplied with cooking tools (pots, pans, maybe an mixer) and the AC had a tough time keeping up with the 100+ degree days. We do prefer to get groceries and cook, rather than eat out a lot.

Nice place in Ark City

This home was so nicely decorated and warm, inviting and comfortable. We each had our own room. If you are traveling with kids, this would be perfect since there is a kids room that is so cute. The kitchen is well stocked and even provided kurig coffee pods. Wish we had more time to sit on the porches! There is an upper and lower porch. Just an overall charming home.

Pleasant Home

The home was more spacious than anticipated. Cozy. Comfortable. Roomy. Soft Sheets. Kitchen ware FULLY stocked. We had 6 people (3 males & 3 females) in our party during the stay. Had to manage the bathroom time. 1.5 Bath was just a bit snug. But, we knew it going in. Wonderful place. Highly recommended.

Perfect Ark City Stay!

The Charming Chestnut is the perfect place to stay when visiting Ark City. The host, Rachelle, couldn't be more accommodating. All the bedrooms are upstairs along with one full bathroom. The bathroom is a good size and was stocked with everything we needed. The main level was very charming, just as the name says. We enjoyed games with the family around the large dining room table, cooked a build-your-own-tacos for everyone in the well stocked kitchen, and had everything we needed in the laundry room/mud room. The coziness of the home provided the best rest and relaxation between the busyness of family fun. All the beds were comfortable with super soft sheets, and the couches in the living room for those casual moments. We especially enjoyed all the extras. To name just a few: we arrived to a beautiful box of iced sugar cookies decorated like the Charming Chestnut (so cute!), the house was decorated in lovely Christmas charm including a lit tree in the living room, and each bedroom has charger stations with plenty of plugs for USB and standard connectors. Oh, and when I needed to ask the host a question that involved a change in our number of family staying with us, the host replied in like 5 minutes (seriously), and was 100% accommodating! Overall, just a really comfortable, welcoming, and amazing place! Thank you, Rachelle!

Visiting family

This is our third time staying here over the last three years, i have no complaints. It is always very well stocked with pot, pans ect. Very clean. The AC was great, we always do bring fans with us but we always have fans running at home too. Always stay here when in arkcity.

Lovely home in quiet neighborhood

We loved staying at this adorable, wonderfully restored home. Everything was clean and well thought out. The hosts were so thoughtful providing cookies and a sweet note about our visit. It was within walking distance to a fantastic little coffee shop. My family and I all agreed when we return to the area we are definitely staying here again.

Spacious home away from home

Here for a wedding and this is the place we needed, to get away from the crowds and noise. We ate, spread out, and relaxed.

Great stay

We had a little trouble with keyless entry but Rachel took care of it in a very timely manner. The only negative is no hand rail for the stairs. I use a cane after a hip replacement and was not comfortable using the stairs. Everything else was very enjoyable.

The charming chestnut was perfect for our family. It is in a great location and very spacious. Rachelle was easy to get ahold of, and very attentive. We would defiantly stay here again!
