This home is a 3-bedroom house with 3.5 bathrooms. You'll find 4 kayaks that you are welcome to use to tour the sound. Enjoy fishing and crabbing right off the dock and plenty of room to dock your boat. (However, the boat ramp is inoperable. You will need to launch your boat at one of the nearby public accesses.)

Unfortunately, we do not allow pets.

Boat Ramp
There is a boat ramp on the property. Unfortunately, it is inoperable and the driveway is too narrow to accommodate a trailer. If you are bringing your boat, you will need to use the public boat access, which is approximately 2 miles away.

Time away for healing from helene

The house was great had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We did some fishing off the dock caught several small fish. We were close to the beach to go shelling and watch the sunrise. We would definitely rent this house again. The bicycles and kayaks were a plus.

Sound side beauty

Beautiful clean property with ideal location on sound in quiet neighborhood. The kayaks were an amazing addition and we used them daily. We look forward to staying again!

The most beautiful sunsets!!

This property is beautiful and close to beach, shops, etc. The layout of the house was perfect as our 4 kids stayed on the top floor and we stayed on the main floor. Very spacious, lots of tvs, fully equipped kitchen (but the garbage disposal was intermittent.) We loved the kayaks, being able to fish off our own dock, and the kids loved jumping off the dock into the water. We also loved the bicycles provided. The outside screened porch provided a peaceful respite for reading. The views of the sunsets every day were beautiful!!! Sallie was a responsive and communicative host. This was our second summer at the house and we plan to return next summer!

Excellent sound side house

I absolutely loved everything about this house. It was very clean, had everything could possibly want, and the location is perfect. Excellent views, especially from the top deck. I will definitely stay there again.

Overall really good vacation

The property is in a really great spot that is close to just about everything topsail has to offer. The house itself is in a really great spot, right on the water which made it really convenient for my family to pick us up right from the dock on their boat. The house was really clean and the check in/ check out process was extremely easy. The binder that was put on the counter had all of the information that we needed to include, local restaurants, attractions, ect. The only downside is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Great Spring Break trip

Perfect for our family. We enjoyed the bikes and kayaks. We tried to fish but no luck! We road bikes the short distance to the beach. Some bikes need a tune up but we were just thrilled to have the option to ride and not pay for parking. Beds were very comfortable. Loved bench seating in dining area for extra people. We got fish to cook from surf city crab market. The kitchen had everything we needed to serve a nice dinner. We also enjoyed the sunroom when it was too cold or raining outside. Kids enjoyed the foosball table. The house was very clean and met all our needs. A lot of the neighbors spoke to us and made us feel welcome. Loved how close the house is to restaurants and shopping. Easy to order takeout or get late night ice cream. The best thing is the sound views and sunsets every evening!

House was extremely nice and clean, we will probably stay again.

I was a little disappointed that the house was in North Topsail and not South, but the pier and house were great. Fishing was not the best, but the weather was extremely nice and house is convenient to restaurants and stores.

Great location and property

This was our second stay at the property and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The view of the sun set was lovely and the short walk to the beach was relaxing. We are looking forward to return again.

Beautiful Scenery, Excellent House

Gorgeous sunsets await you with a lot of wildlife to view on the sound. The perfect place of you want to enjoy outdoor adventures or simply to take in nature. We enjoyed fishing and kayaking as well as biking the nearby neighborhoods. Conveniently located to all nearby beaches and shops but also away from any busy traffic. The house is well laid out and appointed for our large family. Owner was communicative and available. Would highly recommend.

We have been to NC coast many times and this location is amazing! We barely even left the house because it was a fantastic place and had so much to do! Already on the to do list to book again for next year.

Lovely Stay at Fox and the Sound!

This is our second stay here in the past year and likely won't be out last! The unique home is perfect for both families and friends. The weather wasn't perfect during our most recent visit, but the home was the perfect place to relax and unwind. During our less-wndy days we enjoyed the kayaks, making it to Permuda nature reserve. Daily fishing off the dock/deck yielded a 24" red drum! The nearby beach access was pleasant with clean, stocked bathrooms. Overall a fantastic stay!

GREAT Location

Beach house is in great location , and quite roomy ! Appreciated the early check in and late check out ! Thank you Sallie !! Some updates needed to inside carpeting and furnishings , but all in all would return for location , assessable kayaks and bikes! We had a great time !

Perfect for family. The description/pictures do not do justice to how nice the home is. The space was clean and more than we expected.Plenty of beds! Great view off back porch of Surf City Bridge & sound.

Serene Spot, spacious home.

The location of this property is quiet and the view was beautiful! We enjoyed watching the sunset from the back deck and even saw a dolphin one evening. The location is close enough to the beach to walk if you don’t have much to haul. We also found various beach accesses with paid parking that were not far from the property. The bikes and kayaks were a nice bonus! We loved being right on the calm water and spent quite a bit of time kayaking and fishing right behind the rental. The property has been well maintained, was clean and the flooring on the main level is newly updated. We would highly recommend this property!

Awesome getaway

Family get together

My family of 7-10 people have vacationed at several NC beaches over Thanksgiving the last 6 years and this was by far the best home we have rented. We used the bikes, kayaks, fished off the deck, and enjoyed many meals cooked in the well stocked kitchen. Went to several bars/restaurants in the area and the locals were all very welcoming. The outside shower with hot and cold water was an added bonus.

Awesome stay!

Our stay here was great. The house is huge. We took advantage of the all of the house's amenities. We caught fish from the dock, kayaked the canal on into the intercoastal waterway, biked around the neighborhood and over to the beach access for a stroll along the beach. We ended our days sitting on the dock watching the sunset. Our vacation exceeded expectations. This house deserves more than 5 stars!! ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Wonderful vacation and host

We had an absolutely wonderful vacation. The location and amenities were perfect!! The kitchen is well stocked, the kayaks and dock/deck made fishing awesome. Our host is very easy to communicate with and very responsive We will definitely be back to this property.

Beautiful, Peaceful Escape!

We had such a lovely time at Sallie’s home! My girls and husband loved fishing off of the dock. We all enjoyed kayaking in the sound. And the house was just as described and wonderful. Our girls were too small for the bikes, but we would definitely have used them if they were bigger. The neighborhood is quiet yet a short ride to the Friendly Market and the Trailer Bar, which we thought was a hoot. We ended up buying an $80 week pass to park at the beach…the walk was too far for us but others without so much gear may be okay. Overall great stay and excellent communication with Sallie! I feel like we are friends! Looking forward to returning! Thanks Sallie!
