Lakefront Home Close to Bourbon Trail--Dog friendly!
This beautiful little lake house and separate cabin sit on two lots at Beaver lake in Lawrenceburg, Ky. It is approximately 15 minutes from Wild Turkey Distillery and 10 minutes from Four Roses Distillery. With some of the best views of the lake, the house has two bedrooms with one full bath and one half bath in the master bedroom. The cabin has one queen bed and two small lofted beds plus its own mini split heat/air system. And yes, both are included in the rental and this is a completely private property! There's also a huge outdoor fire pit and floating dock plus three kayaks visitors are welcome to use. Additionally, Beaver Lake is great for fishing! Visitors also love all the wildlife this area has to offer; from deer to river otters and the wide range of birds, youâre bound to see some woodland friends during your stay. Whether you want a low-key place with a lovely deck to sip your coffee and read a book or youâre looking for some outdoor adventures and distillery tours, this location has something for everyone!
Additionally, we now have WiFi! It may not be as top speed as some locations (so feel free to use that excuse with your boss!) but happy to be adding this to our amenity list. Guests are welcome to use the grill--please clean after use--but may need to grab some propane. Those traveling with a boat are advised to drop it in the water before coming to the house due to narrow/winding road.
We had a great long weekend on Beaver Lake. The lake may be small but still enjoyable to fish and kayak. This house is the perfect size for a lake house. The new renovated bathroom is beautiful. The kitchen could use some more cookware & serving bowls, but we were close enough to home that I was able to get the things we needed. I know it is probably a huge expense, but I hope the dock can be repaired in the future. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your house. Of the rentals on Beaver Lake this is still our favorite!
Very well kept property that had everything to make our stay comfortable & relaxing. Beautiful views on the deck & lots of wildlife to watch. Our dogs loved the glass doors so they could watch all the squirrels & chipmunks. Beds were comfy with coffee and a traditional drip coffee maker ready for us when we woke up (we are not big on Kurigs). Had fun visiting Wild Turkey, Woodford & Four Roses which are all super close to the lake house.
This was the perfect place for my son and I to stay! A little out of the way, which is just what we wanted. It was amazing to look outside and see all kinds of wildlife.Anna was amazing and so responsive! We will definitely stay again if the opportunity arises!
We had a great stay, 4 nights, 3 days. My 9yr old learned to kayak this weekend and he doesn't even know how to swim. My 2 older daughters stayed in the
Place was vlean and well maintained. Our dogs enjoyed staying at the property as well and roamed about the property with ease. The house was well stocked to make meals and and we slept very comfortably. Thanks for the great stay!
Nice, quiet place to decompress during a long weekend. It was in close proximity to the bourbon trail, so that was an added bonus. The pups had a blast too.
Excellent owners, very responsive. This lakeside cabin is the perfect little getaway for relaxation and being close to many of the Bourbon Distilleries. Everything we needed was available in the cabin. The beds (especially in the large main bedroom) were very comfortable. The only one small âdrawbackâ is the driveway is steep and a bit nerve wracking to pull in and out of. But thatâs minor and everything else was fantastic! Highly recommend
Stayed at this cute cabin with my husband, sister and brother in law and their dog, Rocky. We all enjoyed our stay immensely. The Cabin is not "fancy", but it had all we needed. The kitchen was stocked (except for a bottle opener, but we improvised lol), a nice grill, comfy beds and multiple decks and seating areas to hang out.TVs in both bedrooms (though we didn't need TV with that beautiful lake to look at). We didn't use the little extra cabin but did go in to look and it is adorable! Everything was seamless with checkin and settling in. We did have to flip a coin for which couple got the larger master suite with a King bed and the other the smaller room with a double bed (we won!) but all of us agreed the beds were very comfy and we all got good nights sleep. The lake is beautiful and there are kayaks to use. My brother in law was too big for the smaller kayaks (6'2 and 250) so he had trouble keeping it level in the water, but my sister had no trouble with the smaller kayak. Rocky the dog had a BLAST! We brought a long leash so he could be hooked up to a tree but still get all around. I wish I could post pictures...the happy dog smile was a perma-grin lol. Plenty of outdoor chairs, a fire pit (too hot during our stay to use) and lots of lake to look at. I could go on, but suffice it to say, we enjoyed our stay and hopefully will return in the future for another adventure! Thank you to our host, Anna!
We had a really nice stay. Anna was a terrific host. Her communication was phenomenal! The property is very relaxing. We fished, had a fire, cooked out, and relaxed outside on the deck. My daughter and her fiance loved the separate cabin. The driveway and parking is a bit tricky but comes with the hilly territory.
Overall good. Air conditioning went out second day, but was taken care of quickly next day. Swept floors when we arrived as there was hair and dirt on them. No body soap, dispenser empty and none in basket. Kids loved the small cabin! Kayaks were fun, but did not catch any fish, our bad luck I guess. Parking is a little tricky, takes practice! Overall not a bad stay and close to several attractions.
We basically didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Beautiful scenery and very peaceful. The amenities worked out comfortably. Anna was very helpful with our needs and accommodated us beautifully. We would recommend this Kentucky Gem to everyone who would want a peaceful getaway. Thank you, Anna.
