Awesome place and location. About a 25-30 minute drive to the nearest towns however there is a Dollar General about 6 minutes away. The walking trail on the property was a beautiful stroll through the woods and along the creek. My wife and I were kinda bogged down with inclement weather but it was a nice relaxing stay. Thank you!
Great spot to enjoy all the Kentucky bourbon in the area. James was great communicating the entire time and took great care of things during our trip. Definitely would go back!
My friend and I staid here for a birthday celebration. It was a beautiful spot in the country to relax, bring our bourbon back to and wind down after hitting the bourbon trail. It is central between Frankfort and Bardstown which helped us visit a number of places in the area.
Stayed here for a long weekend to see some of the local sights. Centralized location for a lot of the distilleries, not too far from Louisville to go spend a day either. Very clean, nice house to stay. I will definitely consider again if I am in the area.
This property is located in a beautiful area very quiet. The little cabin is very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We were able to visit several distilleries but also come back to a very peaceful place. We highly recommend it for your visit very easy to communicate with the owner.
What better way to spend your 21st Anniversary. Bourbon country in a beautiful cottage with plenty of privacy. The host are great they answered any questions we had. Definitely recommend this property for anyone looking to get away.
Had a nice time during our trip to Kentucky. The house was perfect and the area peaceful. The home was a little farther away from Louisville and Lexington than we expected but didnât stop our plans, we had a nice time at this little piece of heaven in the country.
The cottage is cute, very clean and spacious. We walked the trail down to the creek and around the main house one morning. Very peaceful. We met the donkeys Chet and Lloyd and fed them carrots. Convenient to distilleries and places of interest. We would definitely recommend this property!
Photos do not do this lovely little house justice. The beauty of the countryside, & the perfection of the cabin itself, were a wonderful surprise. Immaculate, comfortable, charming furnishings and decor make it unique. Evening deer & fireflies, absolutely quiet, private setting, & a location just near enough to shopping & dining in nearby small towns. All that & a helpful host nearby!
We were greeted upon our arrive with a fluffle of rabbits. There were just hanging out in the parking area of this cute cottage nestled on a hillside overlooking a holler of trees and small pond. That pond ment the night air was filled with the sounds of frogs and a lightshow compliments of all the lightning bugs. The next morning spotted a whitetail doe and her small fawn enjoying a drink at the pond, and was surprised by a turkey and her chicks playing in the grass nearby. Had to hit the local grocery for carrots so I could feed the donkeys. They are so friendly. Had a great time, next time I am in the area, I booking this place again.
Our stay was perfect! It was the perfect distance from the distilleries, but we were still away from civilization (which is what we wanted). We are already planning our next trip to finish the other half of the bourbon trail, we will stay here again!!
The property is in the country so if you want beautiful scenery with peaceful surroundings, this is the perfect place. There's a 15 minute or more drive to get to restaurants, shopping, and tourist attractions. After travelling the interstates to get to KY, the country roads were a welcome change of pace/scenery for us. The cabin was clean, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. Highly recommend.
My wife and I enjoyed staying at this property. It's location out in the country was very nice, and we enjoyed a nice fire in the fire pit at night (they sell nice bundles of firewood). The owner was easy to work with, promptly answered all inquiries and questions via the VRBO site, and was there to greet us at check in. It's out in the country, but allows for easy day driving to Lexington, Louisville, and Bardstown, which we took advantage of. Overall, a good experience.
This property was literally the nicest one we've stayed at so far! It was immaculate and the bed was so comfy! The space was perfect for a weekend getaway as we toured some local distilleries! We hope to come back soon! Thank you so much for sharing your place! We loved it!
Janice was great at communicating and his Kevin was darling. We had a very relaxing time and enjoy the fire pit. The donkeys or phone to walk by and the kitchen was well equipped. Definitely would stay again!
