Vintage 1903 cottage located in the middle of midtown Coeur d Alene. Walk to downtown city beach and visit all shops, vintage thrift stores, pubs and several restaurants along the 8-block walk on safe secure family and dog friendly sidewalks. Plenty of off-street parking at the cottage for your RV. boat etc. Two pets allowed free!
What great and convenient location! Not only can you easily walk to downtown and the lake but there are also restaurants that are just blocks away. The convenience of having a Safeway so close was awesome. We stayed at the cottage for a week so it was so nice to be able to walk to the store for things we needed. We couldn't have found a better place for our dogs. The owner is clearly a dog dog lover and we felt right at home. The yard is large and our 2 year old lab had plenty of room for "zoomies" and to play fetch. He was a happy boy!The cottage itself is so cozy and welcoming. I loved the decor, as it is warm and inviting. The layout works well and the upstairs is very spacious. The host Jodi was great too! Quick to respond with communication and very kind. For us, this cottage was perfect!
Our stay was incredible. We had everything we needed, and the backyard was an added bonus. We were blocks from downtown and everything we wanted to see. Jodi made our stay very streamline and checking in was a breeze. We will be staying there again in the future. I highly recommend her property.
Great location. This is how I target places to stay. Lots of restaurants close by. Classic cottages.
Place has character. Don't look for light switches as the lights are on pull strings. We washed the dishes by hand and glad my kids got to experience all of it. Thanks.
This property is in an excellent midtown location. Easy access to great restaurants and the lake less than a mile walk away.
The property is old and definitely will benefit from some updates. Yet, the charm of the older home certainly made it comfortable and all of the basic amenities are included. The owner is very kind and cares about the experience of guests. She stopped by before we checked out and allowed us to take our time in getting packed up. Thank you for your warm hospitality.
My friends and I spent two nights at this small house. The first night was much more expensive than the second night, though the 4th of July holiday was over, thus making our stay quite expensive. The bathroom is tiny and situated such that the occupants of the downstairs bedroom are either stuck in their bedroom or the kitchen when the bathroom is in use. The sheets on one of the beds were damp, as were the rolled-up bath towels on the shelf in the bathroom. The location in Midtown is walkable to restaurants and a drive-through coffee hut. The house is cluttered with kitsch, so there is little room for rentersâ belongings. Electrical outlets are few and far between.
I booked this listing a week before arrival. I honestly did not check cancelation policy prior to completing booking. Within an hour of booking, realized the time frame was not going to work for all guests. Immediately sent messages to owner with zero response. I personally donât see how itâs not a good practice to honor a cancelation within an hour or two of booking. I messaged the owner telecom with zero response. I did not cancel reservation online because I thought it would be unfair for owner to possibly get paid twice for the same dates. Still have not heard back from owner and paid for a two night mid week reservation that I was unable to use.
The house is very comfortable and dog friendly with a nice fenced in yard. The location is perfect! You do not need to drive anywhere, you can just walk out the front door and everything that CDA has to offer is within walking distance! The owner Jodi is very nice and goes out of her way to make you feel at home. I would definitely stay there againđ.
An adorable cottage within walking distance of downtown
We loved the eclectic animal-themed decor. It felt like we were visiting the cute cottage of a favorite aunt - with lots of interesting nooks and crannies to explore. The cottage is on a busy street, but is set back from the street and it was very quiet inside - no road noise at all. We didn't have pets, but the large fenced backyard would be a very attractive feature for someone travelling with their dog. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us. We had a very nice stay.
We had a great stay in the cottage- cozy, comfortable, and walkable to downtown. One of the best things about the house is it has fenced in backyard- perfect for my two pups. Would stay here again.
