Our home is located steps from the sand in the exclusive Silver Strand peninsula. We offer 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, front and back fenced patios, garage plus two parking spaces, washer/dryer, 2 smart TVs including movie channels, fastest WiFi, propane bbq & utensils, beach chairs, patio furniture, stainless steel appliances including gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, adult & children’s beach cruisers, boogie boards, games and a kite. The kitchen includes 2 coffeemakers, a tea kettle, blender, toaster oven, crockpot, rice cooker, pots & pans, glass- and plastic-ware, dishes and utensils, as well as individually packaged coffees, an assortment of teas, salt, pepper and sugar. We have one CA King bed, one queen-sized bed, a double bed, and a full-sized futon to comfortably sleep 8. We provide all linens, towels and beach towels. Pet friendly. No smoking please.

Sea lion paradise!

What can we say! Sea lions on the beach, multiple rookeries. Loved waking up to the sound of them barking at each other. Great house too!

Family Gathering

Amazing location and just a few steps from the beach. The area is really safe and there’s a bar around the corner. Owners are very responsive and flexible. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

In town for family wedding!

We came for out of state for a family wedding! It was wonderful for down time to be so close to the beach! It was a very comfortable place to come back to after wedding activities!

The location was perfect for the activities we did especially the beach. We loved it!

We had a really great time. The house was nice and clean. The only thing my son didn't like was the pull out bed. But the rest of the beds were great!

Host is so easy to work with, responds very fast. House is exactly as described I was pleasantly surprised how spacious the home is! Newer appliances in kitchen, minutes to the beach. I will definitely try to come back again. Highly recommend this property

Silver strand beach cottage

Overall, we loved the location. We were concerned traveling into Ventura as there was flood but we weren’t affected. The itself provided what we needed.the listing said there was parking the garage but that wasn’t possible due to the bicycles, beach stuff, etc. the house furnishings were dated. The cushions on the front porch were soaked and dry out during the visit.

Fantastic property, ideal location and very quiet

Everything was great! I appreciated that it was quiet . Very close to the beach. Exactly as advertised. Really appreciated all the toys (bikes, frisbees, etc), the beach chairs, the fully stocked kitchen, and the bottles of wine. One small suggestion would be to maybe put bunk beds in one of the spare bedrooms. I plan on renting the property again!!

Classic beach cottage

This cottage is about 4 houses away from silver strand beach. The beach is quiet, and this is at the quiet end. There is a lot packed into a small cottage. 3 comfortable bedrooms, 2 baths and a delightful front patio. They supply plenty of both bath and beach towels, and there were extras of all the necessary supplies (trash bags paper towels etc). Very kind of Gary to leave wine for us!! We had one blip - a prior renter must have disposed of the blow dryer. This was replaces within a few hours once I drew the owners attention to it. Overall a fine experience. I would rent this unit again.

Not what we expected

I don't like to leave bad reviews, but unfortunately it isn't fair to future renters not too. Starting with the good. The location is close to the beach and a lot of towels are provided. Now the bad. The property was NOT clean, the tub was dirty and had hairs in it (and needed to be re-cleaned). There weren't any trash bags. The baseboards look like they have not been cleaned in months, along with the floor and by the fridge. The living room smelled faintly like smoke. When we sat on the couches we all felt immediately itchy. There were stains on some of the pillow cases, towels and the couch cover. There was a lot of noise from the base very early in the morning, sounded like jet engines at 4am, we could not get a good nights sleep. The beds themselves were cheap and it was impossible to get up without waking the other person because of the creaking. There is a sky light in one of the bed rooms. Dead bugs on the floor. The place was obviously not cleaned before our stay. It felt like the least amount of money was spent to maintain the property. Half the windows are older style, single pane and aluminum. Lastly be careful if you have young ones, the water is very hot and it will burn them if not careful. Im sorry but we just cant recommend this place for the various reasons above.

This is the perfect location--exclusive, but not pretentious; perfect size, not too big, but accommodating enough for personal space; comfy and clean, but not untouchable. Lovely community, lovely neighbors, dog friendly. Eat in, restaurants, markets, farm stands, delivery. Drive, bike, ride share, train--it's all here within minutes.
