Cette maison architecturale construite en 1948 a Ă©tĂ© conçue par l'architecte Alan Siple et dĂ©veloppĂ©e par Paul Trousdale, qui a plus tard construit la Trousdale Estates Ă  Los Angeles. Le propriĂ©taire actuel a entiĂšrement rĂ©novĂ© et agrandi la rĂ©sidence en 2007 avec une esthĂ©tique d'art et de spa. Elle comprend un ensemble murĂ© comprenant la rĂ©sidence principale (occupĂ©e par les propriĂ©taires) et une maison d'hĂŽtes indĂ©pendante de plus de 650 mÂČ, sĂ©parĂ©e par une loggia avec cheminĂ©e. Connue sous le nom de Casa de Arte, la collection de maisons et d’Ɠuvres d’art a fait l’objet de nombreuses publications. Incredible and unique find! Ranks as the best VRBO experience we have had! Beautiful blend of art and architecture with the most gracious and welcoming hosts, Stan and Gil. Great location in quiet neighborhood, yet short drive to lots of great bars and restaurants. We’re honored to have had the opportunity to meet Stan and Gil and enjoy the beautiful casita!

Beautiful Property and View of Mountains

This property was perfect for our visit to Palm Springs. The home has been featured in the media for its art and we enjoyed seeing the collection. The multiple sitting areas (sun and shade), pool, and spacious guesthouse all made for a comfortable, serene, and beautiful setting. The property is immaculate. We enjoyed chatting briefly with the owner each day and would definitely stay again.

A treat for the eyes and the heart

So much to discover in this adorable home stay. Tastefully and artfully decorated. Every detail catered for. The most fabulous hosts who welcomed us into their home, shared a wealth of knowledge and experience over wine and appies. We loved our time relaxing around the pool and in the lovely outdoor living room. We would highly recommend this property. Ten stars.

Beautiful guest house. Beautiful pool and spa. Hosts were great.

I was there for a week and the time definitely flew by rather quickly. One day the Tram, one day shopping in a nearby town. Dining at some of the local restaurants was also very nice. Ever meal was a joy and surprise. Swimming every day was a must followed up by a nice soak in the spa. Beautiful lighting of the pool and property at night. The bed was extra firm. We were surprised by hosts bringing us treats when we were in the pool on more than one occasion. Delightful.

Oasis of Art, style, whimsy, & pleasure!

The hosts are attentive in every way. I was arriving much later than I planned, had a few issues with my map directions, it was very dark and Gill actually came outside & flagged me down. It is easy to find
.. Gil offered late night food & snacks while wine was chilled in the refrigerator.đŸ„‚great dining recommendations, & suggestions about town were helpful. Gil and Stewart are excellent hosts, even a small parting gift of local produce! You will enjoy this VBRO!

Home Away From Home

If I could give one million stars that still would not be enough. Gil and Stan are the most gracious, kind, generous, thoughtful, humble hosts you could imagine. This is our third stay here and there will be many more. We celebrated my birthday while there and they invited my friends in for an after dinner party for a tour of their gorgeous home along with cupcakes, a card, music, candles and a special drink. What a beautiful unexpected surprise this was! Every day they would ask if there was anything we need which there was not because who could not ask for more! The property is very spacious with the bed, a seating area, futon couch, large bathroom with two sinks, kitchen with two burners, a toaster oven and dish washer and then your very own pool with floaties and outdoor living area. They even shared limes from their tree and gave me my very own Marilyn Monroe towel! We were very fortunate the evenings we got to spend visiting with them. Thank you is not enough to extend the gratitude we feel. We look forward many more stays with Gil and Stan.

An Art-filled Guest Home was the Perfect Oasis in the Desert

My husband and I stayed for two weeks in this modern Palm Springs gem. Our stay could not have been more delightful. We were in awe of their art collection both indoors and out. Even the bathroom has original artwork. The home was truly a home away from home. I slept well (which I never do) in the most comfortable king-sized bed with sumptuous sheets. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook, although we never did. A plethora of clean towels were stacked high and the rain shower was lavish. Every room opened to the great outdoors, even the bathroom. Had I known how many great books and magazines were available, I would have left ours back home and saved the space in our suitcase. Our space opened up to an outdoor living room with a fireplace to warm you on cool desert nights. Outdoor lighting at dusk creates magic under the stars and purple shadows from the mountains. The pool, hot tub and outdoor seating made for lazy afternoons reading under palm trees among mountain views, sculptures and flowers. But what we really cherished the most about this home wasn't the home itself. It was our hosts, Gil and Stan. We were treated with gracious and warm hospitality as though we were old friends. Even though we did our homework, they provided insider knowledge of restaurants, canyons, shops (Ace Hardware, it's true) and things to do. We were spoiled with a fabulous dinner in the outdoor dining room, (thanks for the recipe, Stan), homemade cookies, decadent cheesecake, cupcakes, Italian ice, lively conversations and much laughter. It was indeed the beginning of lifelong friendship. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable and memorable Gil and Stan. Happy trails to you, until we meet again...

We’ve stayed here four times now, and each visit has been absolutely wonderful. The guest house is always spotless, comfortable and well stocked with anything you need for your stay. Nothing compares to the pool and outdoor living room, so relaxing and serene. What truly sets this place apart are the gracious hosts- they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at home. From thoughtful touches like a welcoming gift basket, homemade treats and even little surprises during our stay, to inviting us over for happy hour, their hospitality is unmatched. It is our one and only place to stay in Palm Springs, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. If you’re lucky enough to book this guest house, you’re in for a very special experience!

Perfect Palm Springs!

We couldn't have asked for more with this stay...and yet there was more! This is a beautiful guest house with the most generous hosts. We enjoyed the remarkable art, gorgeous outside spaces, and lovely indoor spots. As avid hikers, golfers, and pool floaters, we were enchanted by Gil and Stan's amazing property and hospitality. Absolute perfection!

We had such a fabulous stay! Stan and Gil were gracious hosts and offered us treats and snacks throughout our stay as well as great info on local restaurants and must-see attractions.The pool and hot tub were fabulous as well as outdoor eating area and a screened in porch. The casita is gorgeous and the bed was super comfortable. We also enjoyed riding the bikes they had onsite- there is a great bike trail system right across the street. We will surely stay here again! Thanks Gil and Stan!

Paradise in Palm Springs

We loved our stay on Gil and Stan’s beautiful property! The guest house was clean and comfortable and had everything we could need. The pool area in the backyard was a dream. Stan and Gil took great care of us, even providing popsicles to beat the heat, and an ice pack for my knee injury. We are so thankful for their hospitality at their incredible home!

A Place You Don’t Want to Leave

From the beautiful setting with mountains visible from the courtyard to the courtyard itself, with thoughtfully arranged artwork and azure pool, this casita was difficult to say goodbye to. We were greeted by one of our hosts who walked us through the rules of the house, made sure our every question was answered, and welcomed us into one of the more fabulous places we’ve stayed in Palm Springs. We found the carefully chosen bedding to be comfortable, the view from the bed to the pool to be stunning, and the provided robes and bath and pool linens perfect. The small kitchen had nearly everything we needed, as we were eating out with friends throughout our stay. Location: incredible. Even near downtown and busy roadways, the pool fountains and bubblers made lounging by the pool or having coffee in the art-filled loggia peaceful. And more on location: we loved hiking along the paths by Tahquitz Creek, just across the street, and going even further to hike the in-progress Prescott Preserve that’s taking over for the failed Mesquite Country Club golf course. Birding and walking to the downtown area made for nature-filled days, and mixing in some sun made it indeed difficult to say goodbye. Thank you to our fantastic hosts for our rainbow trail mix and serenading us with “Happy Trails to You” on our departure.

I would give this property 10 stars if I could!

This is a delightful property with easy access to just about anywhere you want to go in Palm Springs. The property was so nice, however, you may not want to leave. From the more than gracious hosts, to the beautiful art, to the comfy bed, there is just no reason to leave. I hesitate to leave a glowing review because I am afraid it will never be available again. Thank you Stan and Gil!

Christmas in Palm Springs

When we decided to spend the holiday in Palm Springs, I began researching different types of lodging. I looked at the guest houses, condo rentals, hotels, and private residences. We decided on the Casita for a few reasons. The accommodations, the location and recommendations. We very much enjoyed our stay and were made to feel quite welcome by Gil & Stan. It’s a very nice neighborhood and a quick drive to downtown. We also had the use of the bicycles that made for a very pleasant day of exploring the area. I would definitely recommend staying here, to have the experience of living in Palm Springs as opposed to just being a visitor. We find that more relaxing and less stressful than “grouped lodging”.

Perfect Palm Springs Rental

This guest house is gorgeously decorated, has amazing art and a fabulous pool/hot tub area. The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating and the location is ideal. We will definitely be back!
