The location was amazing and literally across the street from the beach. The only down side was not having laundry on the premises and it wasnât easy to find the coin laundry that was not mentioned until I dug through the app. We did walk to where the app mentioned but was unable to find the laundry.
Location-greatDefinitely a very used and slightly neglected unit but did fit our family of 5 in regard to needs and comfortListing inaccuracies/loopholes were inconvenient but didnât deter the overall tripManagement was responsive Would visit the area again, would opt for another place to stay
We came in just for a few days. Loved how close in walking distance it was to the beach and places to eat. Only negative was the queen bed mattress was broken and towels probably need replacing due to stains. Overall very nice stay.
Great Beach Location! Close to Charleston! I'd stay again.
Convenient to the beach. You'll need your own beach chair.
The unit is updated and very comfortable. The beds are cozy. It had all the amenities needed unless you like to cook a lot - bring you favoite cooking apparatus. The unit is 20 minutes from Charleston. Best of beach and historic Charleston! I'll stay here again for sure!
The beds in this place are terrible, so uncomfortable and old. Including the couch bed. Do not stay here unless they replace their mattresses, and living room furniture, you wonât sleep well and it will ruin your trip.
The property was not as clean as would like. Shower curtain had mold and bed comforter was not clean. Twin beds were as hard as a rock and the tvâs and other tech was not hooked up or working.
Good location but, not good enough for the money. Will not stay there again.
Isle of palms is a beautiful area, with easy access to wonderful restaurants and beautiful beaches. The home we stayed in was very nice, but once you start seeing roaches all over the place it definitely takes away from the beauty and relaxation. The last morning we were there, i got up to make coffee in the coffee maker that we had used multiple times and under the basket that holds the coffee was a roach egg with many baby roaches covering the inside of the coffeepot and basket. Needless to say i was horrified and got violently sick to my stomach.
Let me start by saying that the pictures are deceiving. The condo has not been kept up and is in need of much repair. The carpet was stained and could use a good deep cleaning or even replacing. The the walls were warped and the paint was peeling in the bathroom. The kitchen was not much to be desired either...the dishwasher was not properly secured which caused it to tilt forward every time we opened it. The cabinets are showing their age...stains, and some were even rotting and damaged from what appeared to be water. The pleather chair pictured in the living room photo was peeling severely and the some pieces from the vertical blinds were broken and missing. Lastly, the sheets and quilt in one of the bedrooms were stained, and the towels that were provided left lint on your skin after every use.
On a positive note...It's centrally located and walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shops and Harris Teeter. The kitchen was well equipped with the basics, paper goods were provided (as well as hotel size toiletries). When we discovered the stained linens, we called and they were both replaced with fresh ones...unfortunately, in the process they took a pillowcase that belonged to us by mistake.
The parking situation was very frustrating! We arrived with 2 cars but were only given a parking pass for one, so all weekend we were inconvenienced with the city lot. We paid $10 per day, which wasn't unreasonable but the 8am run every morning to refresh the meter for the day was annoying. We've taken our annual trip to IOP for the last 3 years and have never had an issue with having an extra car, until this year!
This condo is spacious and has the potential to be great...unfortunately it hasn't been kept up and I would not recommend this particular unit to anyone.
The layout was perfect for our family. We were able to walk to access the beach easily and there were plenty of restaurants and stores to choose from. It was extremely clean and in an excellent location. The coded entry is also so much easier than some that use hard keys and require drop offs, etc.
May 1st proved to be the greatest time to be at IOP. The condo was so cozy! The beach was đđŒ Thankful for the soul soothing restful moment! đđđ
Very professional staff, check-in professional and easy. Clean, well equipped home. Stocked appropriately. Dining, shopping and beach within walking distance. Very pleasant stay.
Great two-bedroom condo within a very short walk to the beach. On-site pool was a nice bonus! The proximity to Charleston was perfect to allow us to spend time in the city too!
The location to the beach was good. If that is all you are looking for, this rental will be adequate. Local shops, restaurants, and big box stores were close. But, some issues were annoying. The laundry was across the street in a location we couldn't even park our car; the mattresses in the second bedroom were awful and the TV didn't work or there were no instructions on how to operate it. The lock on the sliding door was broken and the screen door had no lock. The bar that was supposed to be attached to the frame to lower for protection was also broken. The people working in the local office were very nice, but the woman I spoke to at the main office told me she couldn't give me the local number to call; she would have to put in a maintenance order for them to call me. I found it on the web site. ?????? Never did understand that. Lastly, although it was clearly stated there was no elevator, the reality of carrying luggage, groceries, and other bags up three flights of stairs was more than I would want to bear again in the future.
Location is great and is just a short walk to the beach. Unit was clean on arrival and in decent condition. The couch is gross. Itâs hard, uncomfortable, and filthy. PLEASE REPLACE THAT POOR COUCH. The kids had no complaints about the twin beds. The queen was super squishy and comfy with the mattress topper on but if you like a firm bed you are out of luck. Lots of fans. The big eyes on the stove donât fit so it pretty much makes cooking impossible because your pans are sliding off. This is the second unit we have rented in the complex. Probably wouldnât do this one again because the was nicer.
