Great rental unit but owner needs to improve commmunication
The good: spacious, extremely clean and modern stand-alone rental home. Well stocked kitchen and modern appliances. Good AC in bedroom but main room could have used a fan. Great location within a short walk to Plage de la Grande Anse though quite a bit of street noise during the day from the main thorofare. A small but well stocked market at the Total station next door was nice. You will need a car if you wish to explore Basse Terre, which you should do.
The bad: Only two bath towels and no beach towels for 5 days stay in a 2BR home; we asked for more towels but never got them. Uncomfortable bed. When we arrived at night we couldn't get into the house because the front doors were locked and we had no instructions how to check in/enter through the back. That was very unnerving. There was no instruction book in the unit so we were lost trying to figure out wi fi access and some appliances. I emailed the owner 3 times to get instructions but I never got an answer.
