Amazing stay without the craziness of people all around you!

Probably some of the nicest views you will ever find in the world. Chef Valentina was recommended to us by the property manager Esther. This was the best decision of the trip. Chef Valentina was amazing especially with her cooking class!

Gorgeous grounds and perfect location. The pool is pure luxury. The house is very functional but a bit spartan as you should expect from a house built hundreds of years ago.

“I could live the rest of my life here”

The property is perfect! Exquisite views, privacy and relaxation. The pool is a place you could stay for hours but then you would miss the sweet town of Greve with its shopping and excellent restaurants! Day trips to Florence, Pisa and Bologna were easily done. One family member said she could live at Casalone the rest of her life, I think that says it all!

beautiful villa in the chianti classico hills. great amenities. as indicated in description of villa, there are varying levels of flooring. more exterior lighting would be an asset. also mosquitoes were a problem for some guests inside the house.

Casalone is so much better in person

The pictures on VRBO do not adequately show the beauty - this place is a 5 star location. The gardens and pool area are breathtaking. The home has everything- it is much larger than we thought. And Ester makes it even more enjoyable- she is so helpful ahead of time with whatever you need. If you are trying to decide where to stay in Tuscany- stay here at Casalone!

Incredible Tuscan Villa!

What a spectacular and memorable time we enjoyed at Casolone estate in Chianti! It is a gorgeous, sprawling and well manicured property. The home was clean, nicely decorated with comfortable beds and linens. The real highlight was the amazing private pool and views! Just magical! Greve was a short drive to the Co-op for groceries. We enjoyed a local Chianti wine festival in Montefioralle and an amazing dinner at Ristoro L’Antica Scuderia. Highly recommend and would love to visit again! Ester was a gracious and responsive host!

Amazing stay in the heart of Tuscany!

After travelling through Italy for nearly 3 weeks this was the best part of our stay! The Villa is beautiful with all the amenities you could wish for- comfortable beds and linens and a very nice kitchen that we were able to have a group cooking class in. The proximity to Greve is fabulous with several incredible restaurants in walking (or short drive) distance. It is so quiet and peaceful and we were even able to enjoy the light of fireflies at night! The pool might have been the best part of the stay with the most incredible views. Thank you Ester for hosting us, answering all of our questions and giving us the best recommendations. You helped to make the end of our trip magical and very memorable. We hope to be back again very soon!

A sanctuary under the Chianti Sun

The week our family spent at Casalone was our most special holiday week in our family's holiday history. Seldom do all factors come together to make a holiday perfect (comfort, cleanliness, luxury, weather, aesthetic beauty, delicious food, relaxation, recreation, nature...etc.) but on this holiday all factors came together to make a truly magical stay for us. Our memories will stretch way beyond the week, summer, year...and will last forever in our hearts. Séjour à Casalone Greve in chianti

Nous avons passé une magnifique semaine à Casalone Greve in chiant avec une super piscine. Nous gardons un magnifique souvenir de ces vacances en famille. La maison est climatisée un plus surtout en plein été, pas de voisinage et très calme. Merci Ester pour votre accueil très chaleureux.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour. La maison est décorée avec beaucoup de goût et très confortable. Le jardin est superbe, fleuri et vert. On ne se lasse pas de la vue depuis le jardin. Super Sommerurlaub in Italien

Unser Sommerurlaub in der Toskana war super schön. Dazu hat natürlich unser Aufenthalt in Greve in Chianti beigetragen. Wir haben uns in dem rustikalen Bauernhaus sehr sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war einfach traumhaft. Tolles Haus, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, tolles Ambiente, super Pool. Sehr zu empfehlen!

einfach traumhaft

4 Wochen Freude, Ruhe, Genuß, dolce vita. In den Hügeln rund um Greve, zwischen Wein und Olivenbäumen. Am Ende einer Forststraße mit einem wundervollen Garten, traumhafter Terrasse mit einem Blick der atemberaubend ist. Alle Annehmlichkeiten sind vorhanden. Auch das Internet funktioniert hervorragend. Unsere Hündin konnte sich auf dem sehr großen Grundstück frei bewegen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt

Ester hat uns in Greve sehr freundlich empfangen und uns zum Haus geführt. Dort hat sie eine kurze und nützliche Einführung in die wichtigsten Dinge gegeben. Die Betreuung vor Ort ist sehr professionell. Die Zimmer sind sehr komfortabel eingerichtet und alles was man braucht ist ausreichend vorhanden (Wäsche, Kücheneinrichtung, Holz um ein Feuer im Kamin zu machen, etc.). Die Aussicht über die Hügel der Toscana ist wunderbar. Der Garten und der Pool sind sehr gepflegt. Alles in Allem ist alles so wie in der Beschreibung, nur in der Realität einfach schöner.

Amazing accommodations in the Chianti country side

Barclay and Ester were fantastic hosts catering to all of our needs/questions. Ester met us in Greve and drove us out the property as it would be difficult to find on your own. The property was truly amazing providing a great country setting with the town of Greve only a 5 min drive away for restaurants or just a stroll around the town. We used this location as our launching point to Pisa, Lucca and Sienna, all within an easy 1 hour drive. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for the season. We will definitely need to make a summer trip here to take advantage of all the outdoor amenities. Would definitely stay again at this incredible property.

A magical oasis in the Tuscan hills

We have just returned from a magical week at Casalone for our 30th Anniversary celebration with our two adult sons. Barclay was a joy to connect with and supported our trip planning tremendously. Casalone’s house manager, Ester, is absolutely wonderful and was instrumental in our planning for a special cake, flowers, and lunch at a local winery for our actual anniversary (which fell on a Monday and the Ferragosto holiday and required lots of planning around). She also helped us navigate a flat tire during the week and we were so grateful. Casalone is as described and met our needs perfectly. It is so peaceful and relaxing. We truly enjoyed the comfortable layout, beautiful pool, amazing views, pizza oven, and fruit picking in the yard. The house was complete with lots of towels, cookware, and glassware. The convenience of the washer and the fun of hanging clothes out to dry was so enjoyed. Favorite activities of our trip - Lunch and wine tasting at a local winery (reserve in advance) Fast train from Florence to Rome for the day Go to the Mercato attached to the train station for arancini, pizza, and wine before and after your train ride Go to the brew pub in Trastavere (one of the world’s best beer bars) Tour of Cinque Terre Lunch at a family style restaurant in Panzano Visit to the brew shop in Radda in Chianti Wine tasting vending machine at the butcher in Greve We are already scheming a plan to return! #takethetrip

Wet Hot Summer in Greve

Great home high above Greve. Wonderful design, landscaping, and layout for a family. We loved our stay - it was exactly what we envisioned in a Tuscan retreat. I would note that the temperature was over 100 degrees Fahrenheit during our stay, and there is no air conditioning. The property has a few fans that help, but the pool is critical to staying cool.
