Typical farmhouse in the heart of the Chianti

Situated in the countryside of Greve in Chianti, between Florence and Siena, this charming Tuscan farmhouse offers beautiful views, a private garden, and a peaceful rural setting.

The house is ideally suited for a relaxing holiday with family or friends and features a private swimming pool (6 x 12 m), surrounding vineyards and olive groves, and even a private golf driving cage. Several outdoor living spaces, including three separate dining areas, allow guests to fully enjoy the Tuscan lifestyle. One of the terraces is equipped with a traditional pizza oven, perfect for creating your own homemade pizzas.

The farmhouse has been tastefully renovated and furnished in authentic Tuscan style and features a new, fully equipped kitchen with high-quality appliances, offering all modern conveniences for guests who enjoy cooking and dining at home.

For guest comfort, all bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans. Please note that the house does not have air conditioning.

It serves as an excellent base for exploring Tuscany’s historic towns, cultural sites, and wine regions.

The property offers a carport for two cars and additional parking for up to three more vehicles. While the location is secluded and tranquil, the village of Greve in Chianti, with its shops, restaurants, and amenities, is only a short drive away.

Please note that walking to the village center takes approximately one hour. For this reason, a car is strongly recommended.

Second time around just as great as the first!

This was our second time staying in this beautiful property and if possible, it was even better than the first. It truly felt like our home away from home. The location is wonderful and the owners and housekeepers are exceptional to work with.

Incredible home, property, location and host. Our two families with young children had a memorable week at the villa and would recommend to anyone (families or groups of friends) and can’t wait to come back again. Jacqueline was very easy to communicate with and Beatrice and her family were incredible with their advice and assistance while we were there (including a home cooked, chefs meal that made for an unforgettable evening). The villa can fit multiple families comfortably and has everything you need including a beautiful pool. Location is great with being close to town with groceries and an excellent butcher shop, and much more. The only thing for next time is to bring some bug spray as they are relentless in the summer but manageable. Kudos to the hosts. Phenomenal spot.

Fabulous home for family vacation

Our family loved our stay at this villa. It’s such a comfortable villa, with a fabulous pool, a great kitchen, and wonderful outdoor places to eat and enjoy. It is surrounded by a productive vineyard and olive grove. It is very hot in summer months which may make it more challenging for people sleeping in some of the rooms but hopefully the fans help most. Greve is a wonderful town to be close to, the views from the villa are fantastic, and the host is very responsive. Would totally recommend this place.

Exceeded all of our expectations

What a magical place! Our group - four adults and two kids aged 11 and 13 - spent a wonderful week at the home and found it very hard to leave. Our favorite parts: the newly refinished pool, the many outdoor spaces to lounge or dine, the well stocked kitchen, the abundance of interior space for everyone to spread out and find privacy when desired, the lovely and helpful caretakers, the location minutes from the friendly and laid back town of Greve, and the incredible views from virtually every spot inside and out. We felt instantly at home and it was just the most restorative week. The only thing we would do differently next time is spend less time visiting neighboring hill towns and more time simply relaxing at the home - frolicking in the pool, dining under the massive trees, enjoying a glass of wine and the views on the chic new lounge set (not pictured, what a pleasant bonus!), reading a book in the upstairs office space with the door open to the warm breeze.... We feel so lucky to have found the place and the kids are already plotting our return.

Amazing Stay at Poggiolo!!!

Our stay at Poggiolo was absolutely amazing!!! We could not have asked for a more beautiful place to be during our time in Tuscany. It was a very special vacation and one we will never forget. We had everything we wanted/needed including strong wifi connection. The house itself was perfectly appointed and extremely comfortable, as well as maintained and very clean. It was nice to have a proper kitchen and pizza oven so we could prepare and enjoy meals. The housekeeper Antonella was great and our check-in process was very smooth and thorough. The house is extremely private and set among vineyards and olive trees, with stunning views of the Chianti region. The grounds, pool and sheer beauty of this home makes for a very peaceful and relaxing vacation. Despite the rainy weather, we did manage to swim even though is was pretty chilly. The town of Greve is a quick drive (or an ambitious walk) and has many shops, grocery store, butcher, and restaurants to enjoy, as well as a very nice Enoteca for all of your vinous needs. I would recommend a AWD/4 wheel car as the roads back to the house and the driveway are not paved. We were within 60-90 minutes from Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Montalcino and Volterra. It was the perfect location with many wine producers within minutes of the house. Jacqueline was the extremely responsive and the the most gracious hostess who answered all my questions. I can't recommend Poggiolo enough and we look forward to returning one day soon.

Amazing stay in Chianti !!

En famille et entre amis, adultes et enfants nous avons passé de magnifiques vacances !! Le lieu est magique, la vue à couper le souffle les couleurs changent tout au long de la journée. La piscine immense, les transats, et parasol de qualité. La cuisine très bien équipée. Jacqueline a été disponible avant notre séjour et Antonella nous a chaleureusement accueilli. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit, der Garten und der traumhafte Pool sind sehr gepflegt. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, die Zimmer und Bäder sehr schön und sauber. Alles ist sehr hochwertig. Die Sitzplätze sind einfach wundervoll und der Blick nicht zu toppen. Wir wurden sehr gut betreut. Wir möchten auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Sehr gut ausgestattetes und sehr gepflegtes Anwesen mit sehr guter Betreuung vor Ort, relativ weit weg von den nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (mind. 10 Minuten mit Auto), sehr ruhige Lage. Keine Klimatisierung, aber Ventilatoren vorhanden. Sehr schöner Pool. Anfahrt über ca. 1,7 km unbefestigte Straße wie oft bei ähnlichen Ferienhäusern.

50th Birthday celebration

The property was beautiful and the pool area and view spectacular. We had the housekeeper Anontella cook for us on the first night since my guests were from all of the U.S. and she made an amazing, gluten free meal to accommodate one of the travelers with severe allergies. My only negative is lack of advertised Wi-Fi and no air conditioning which was listed on the original outline VRBO outline of amenities. Overall the place is amazing option and would definitely go again!

Great accommodation excellent pool and outside sitting and dining areas we utilised the pizza oven and the barbecue. Very well equipped appreciated for example the sharp knives. Easy bus ride to Florence and worth the walk for a meal at Vitique.

Relaxed Family Holiday - young fiancé couple, young couple with baby, and senior couple.

The house and outdoor area is of high standard, and very well functioning; we were 3 couples and a baby, and we did not even use the two extra bed rooms; the house allowed us good space to be together all of us, and room for privacy. From the different outdoor terrasses we enjoyed the fantastic view to the wine fields, and olive trees, the house itself is very charming and well equiped, and the owner as well as the local couple taking care of the house are warm and very helpful; they helped us arrange wellcome dinner on our arrival, a wine tasting in walking distance, cooking workshop, and anything else we would have asked for. Our Warmest Recommendation!

Wir waren zu sechst als Familie dort und sind mit dem Auto angereist. Alle Anfragen zur Anreise wurden umgehend beantwortet. Das Haus, die Lage, seine Ausstattung, die Betreuung vor Ort ( musste nicht über Gebühr in Anspruch genommen werden , weil alles vortrefflich funktioniert hat bis auf den Weinkühler 😏?), die nähere Umgebung einschliesslich Greve waren wie auf uns zugeschnitten. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und haben besonders die Ruhe, den Ausblick und die Morgen - sowie Abendstimmung genossen.

True delight in the heart of Tuscany

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - here's a few highlights; Alessandro & Antonella were wonderful, friendly and kind caretakers and enhanced our stay with their hospitality. We enjoyed the central location of the villa - so many Chianti and beyond destinations (Florence, Siena, Radda, Panzano, San Gimignano and more...) are so close - and the property truly has the most stunning views and privacy! The recommendations provided were spot on - we dined at Ristoro di Lamole three times based on the suggestion of our host. We looked at many villa's in the surrounding area and the main draws of this property were the large communal living area to relax in the evening and mornings, the ability to enjoy the beautiful grounds and the pool to relax by, and in. What a heavenly stay. A month just wasn't long enough. The communication with the owner was key to our overall satisfaction. It's always important to clarify the amenities of any VRBO posting prior to renting. Jacqueline was very honest and informative. A heartfelt Thank You for all that was provided. Anyone thinking of renting a home in Tuscany for an extended stay should consider this villa. Grazie Mille!!

Beautiful home in great location!

This home was absolutely perfect for our group of 6 people, with plenty of room to spare. The home and property are even more beautiful than in the pictures. It has all the comforts of home and is close to the beautiful center of Greve. The pool was amazing and has gorgeous views. I cannot recommend the house enough, we hope to come back with our children and extended family one day. It is perfect for families or couples. Jacqueline, the owner was exteremely helpful and a pleasure to correspond with. 5 stars all around for this property.

Schönes Bauernhaus in traumhaftem Panorama

Wir haben zehn Tage mit 8 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern (3 und 1) hier verbracht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage inmitten der Oliven- und Weinberge ist traumhaft und der Blick in die Weite ist spektakulär. Der Pool ist ebenfalls fantastisch angelegt. Die Kinder haben sich sehr über das vorhanden Spielzeug gefreut. Bei Fragen waren sowohl Alessandro als auch Jacqueline, die Vermieterin, immer erreichbar. Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt waren das nicht funktionierende W-LAN, um das wir uns letztlich selbst kümmern mussten sowie das Nicht-Wechseln der Bettwäsche. Wir würden dennoch wiederkommen und können das Haus definitiv empfehlen! Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt!

Beautiful property, great location

We couldn't be happier with this property. It was absolutely beautiful and in a great location very close to all we could need in Greve. Our party of seven was completely comfortable, including our children (ages 5 and 7), who thoroughly enjoyed the many toys and games they found in the storage bins. We swam every day in the lovely pool and enjoyed long evenings sitting outside and making pizza in the pizza oven. Jacqueline was very responsive and answered all of my questions. We would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing Tuscany vacation!

Great property

The location is prime right among the olive and grape orchards. It's very secluded and beautiful. It was a bit hard to find as we are accustomed to street signs. He owner has a husband and wife team that maintain the property daily and they were great. The home is big and spacious. We tried sleeping the the separate smaller building but it was just too hot. Either it was insulated differently from the home or it receives direct sun but there is no way to sleep in there In July. The pool was large and clean, a great way to end each day. The villa is a 7 minute drive to the small town of Greve. There are many vineyards that offer tastings within minutes. The views were fantastic, highly recommend it.

Wonderful house in perfect location

We chose this home for its central location to everything in Tuscany and were extremely happy with our choice! Jacqueline was extremely responsive to all inquiries, which was helpful for those of us from the US traveling to Europe for the first time. The home was large, very clean and we had all the necessary amenities to survive our first few days without a trip to the Coop. The kitchen was well stocked with good quality pots and pans and very sharp knives. Beds and linens were good quality and super comfortable. The outdoor space was stunning, an entertainers dream! We loved being close to a charming city, Greve, that offered everything we needed for our 2 week stay, post office, TIM, grocery store, various places to eat, drink, Laundromat for larger loads, gas stations, etc. We used this property as a home base for exploring Tuscany. Rent a car for your own exploring or heading into town for provisions, but take advantage of a driver as well to really relax. Make sure you plan on spending several days on the property as the views are amazing and change throughout the day. The pool was superbly maintained and became our favorite place for happy hour at the end of a long day of touring. We took advantage of La Cantina in town on 2 occasions for pizza and Ristoro di Lamole for a very special last night. All in all, our group would HIGHLY recommend this lovely home to anyone seeking all the comforts of home coupled with delightful Tuscan charm! Thank you for sharing your home Jacqueline!
