Swallow The Anchor (se retirer d’une vie en mer) est un hôtel récemment rénové.
4 chambres, 2. 5 salles de bain, Sunset Beach et Lake House. Depuis les ponts enveloppants, vous pouvez voir et entendre toute sa beauté incroyable.

Swallow The Anchor est idéal pour un séjour intime à 2 ou un groupe de 14 personnes. La maison dispose de 4 chambres et 2. 5 salles de bains et des arrangements de couchage pour tous. Nos équipements sont fantastiques et nous avons même un café / bar à vin bien approvisionné et un bar de petit-déjeuner avec des distributeurs de céréales.

Nous fournissons des kayaks, des planches à pagaie, des cannes à pêche, des pistolets à palourdes et des cages à crabes pour un séjour divertissant, des vélos, des jouets de plage, des chariots, des jeux, des cerfs-volants, du ping-pong et du hockey sur air.

Les salles de bain regorgent de tout ce que vous avez peut-être oublié d'emporter.

Si vous voulez être à l'aise devant le feu et regarder vos émissions préférées, alors notre télévision Hulu avec forfait Or et Netflix vous laisseront en transe pendant des jours. Il n'oubliera pas son événement sportif, car nous y avons pensé aussi. Assurez-vous de le lui dire, vous n'avez rien à perdre.

Nous sommes également les fiers propriétaires du bungalow Mermaids Song Beach à Seaside, en Oregon, et avons reçu le statut de Superhost depuis nos débuts (5 fois de suite). Nous aimons ce que nous faisons et nous pensons que vous l'aimerez aussi.

I have stayed at many VRBO's, but this one is my all time favorite. Everything was just perfect. The amenities were fantastic, from a breakfast nook filled with cereal, Keurig with many different flavors of coffee/hot chocolate, teas, to lots of beach equipment (chairs, umbrellas, kid toys) to kayaks, to bikes. It was just a hop and a skip to the lake and a hop and skip to the ocean. The owner got back to me very quickly. I will definitely be staying here again.

We booked a spring trip for our special needs son who has always wanted to visit Oregon. It was a big deal for our family and we looked forward to it very much. My husband had a full cardiac arrest car accident a few days before trip. Very traumatic for us. This vrbo would not give us even a partial refund even though we had a horrible medical emergency. Complete lack of compassionate at terrible time for our family!!

Family beach retreat

This property is amazing. VERY CLEAN. Lots of towels, snacks, and beach supplies with the wagon. We loved the bikes and easy access to the beach. The property was very quiet We would love to go back. Delicious bakery/ coffee shop nearby.

Lady's Annual Trip

House was very clean and in a beautiful neighborhood. House was well stocked, including a coffe bar and snacks. Games were also provided and a very informative notebook about local attraction, hikes, restaurants, and shopping was provided as well. Located close to Astoria, Seaside, and Cannon Beach.

The property was great. The beach toys in the garage were a nice touch. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards in the lake almost as much as the beach.

Wonderful getaway!

For our mother’s 70th, she wanted to be on the beach and with her grandchildren. This home was absolutely perfect and management was so communicative and accommodating. Our mother now wants to make this trip a tradition at this home, we look forward to booking it again! Thank you so much!!

Great Place

This was one of the most well stocked rentals we’ve been to - kitchen, laundry, bathrooms, even blankets! Beautiful location - we even got to see elk out the window. And so much to do! We used the kayaks, clam spades, games, foosball, and the kids had a blast with the toys! Enjoyed our time very much!

Beautiful home fully stocked for all ones needs!

We had such a great family time here!! We forgot the coffee, found several choices already here! Many beds for sleeping! Family games , and the best was the karaoke machine!

Great house for rainy days

First the no animals was great as we have an asthmatic in the group. I rent about two houses a year, family on both coasts. For over 15 years. This house exceeded our expectations. I have never had such a well equipped house. The bathrooms had every supply you could need. The kitchen had good cooking set up and the spice cabinet was complete. The grandkids loved the snacks provided the cereal and cheddar fish they could help themselves to. Coffee bar was a nice feature. Most houses offer nothing in the way of basics , even sugar and coffee. The house bedding feels new and all rooms are tastefully decorated. Fireplace was a nice asset. The fools ball and ping pong were great entertainment. The winner was the play bedroom. A walk in closet full of every age toys. Enough Legos for everyone.

Beautiful home and location

This home was perfect for our 2 families. Great property and location. I would definitely stay here again. As for some of the other reviews, if you understand what the rules are and plan to follow them, then you're not going to have any issues. You can't have more than the 14 guests and if you plan to, than rent a different place. Pretty simple.

Family Beach Trip

We had a very nice 4 night stay here! 6 adults and 4 children. Two bedrooms are upstairs and two are down. Everything looked and felt clean. There were plenty of towels and bedding. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and utensils. And there were lots of extra amenities….like beach chairs, games and puzzles. I didn’t appreciate the wine selection that was displayed because they had inappropriate labels for young children. Surprising, for a place otherwise geared for families. But over all I would recommend a stay here! We had a mama deer with two babies in the yard a couple of the days. And we saw about a dozen elk on our walk to the beach.

Thoughtful Details

This home was exceptionally clean. The "no pets" rule helps with that I'm sure and as a person with allergies, was greatly appreciated. The venue has many thoughtful amenities: A well-stocked coffee/snack bar, ping-pong and other games in the garage with popsicles in the freezer, lots of streaming channels to choose from, and much more. We explored Astoria and Fort Stevens, and had good coffee and pastries just down the road at the bakery at the four-way stop. Very pleasant, convenient rental. Highly recommended.

Swallow the anchor stay

This house is amazing!! Well kept, beautiful home. Lots of room for our entire family of 11. The owners think of everything. Family games, ping pong, yard games, bbq, snacks, cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc. You name it they have you covered!! Excellent!! A wonderful home away from home experience!! We used the kayaks on the lake and just a short drive to the ocean at sunset beach. We even rode the bikes there one day. Close to Seaside and Cannon beach. The only negative was the loveseat was broken and we hesitated to use it for fear we would fully break it. Other than that a definite A+!!! Wouldnt hesitate to rent again.. Thank you

Well stocked

Coffee bar and snacks were a nice touch! House was large, clean, and had everything you could possibly need. The location is quiet and central to all the local attractions. We found the house a little chilly albeit your typical spring break weather in Oregon… sunny, stormy, and even a little snow. A fire would have helped but we didn’t want to have to clean it if I’m going to be honest. The main bed was very comfortable I’m told. The other beds were a little too firm, I’d suggest a few foam toppers. As far as the rules go, they were a little overwhelming, but I completely understand the position the owners are in and feel badly for them… The neighbors are not very welcoming and it’s quite obvious they don’t want short term rentals in the neighborhood. Follow the rules and be mindful that you’re not staying in a frat house and you’ll be fine. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Quick Weekend Get Away

We were in need of a place that would house a larger group all in one place. We wanted somewhere within walking distance of the ocean. A walk along an easy to follow trail, a jog and some sand found us playing in the ocean on a cool January day. Not far from the amenities of Seaside we all enjoyed dinner there before meeting at the house. The house features a beautiful coffee bar with an open kitchen arrangement - so whoever's in charge of cooking isn't excluded from the family in the living room. The large master bedroom has a view of the lake (also within walking distance, the weather didn't cooperate to encourage a trip there). For the littles, the play-set in the backyard was right up their alley. They would have spent all day on it if the weather hadn't driven them back inside. I found the owners more than helpful when I had questions. Quick to answer messages and help me figure things out that confused me.

Beware! Owner actively monitoring cameras!

The house itself was very nice with well equipped kitchen, nicely stocked bathrooms and bedrooms. We felt uncomfortable using stocked bathroom and coffee bar because house rules stated we must restock. The most unsettling part of our stay - the owner was regularly monitoring several outdoor cameras that recorded audio from the house. We received realtime e-mail warnings (one with audio and video of our children) reprimanding their vacation enthusiasm. We would not recommend this house for a family gathering with children under 12, because the owner has very strict noise and usage rules. Although accommodations were comfortable, being watched and scolded throughout our stay made us guarded and uneasy. Unlike the property description, the owner is definitely not interested in hosting a "bustling group".

House is beautiful, but not worth the communication issues

The house is beautiful, but there is certainly not enough space for 14 people. Air mattress, which was considered a “bed” was flat. Had to fill out extensive waivers to even get the key code, and was only released hours before arrival because we reached out. Very grateful to have been able to enter the house “early” (check in was 5 pm and we were told it was nonnegotiable), but not without significant numbers of condescending emails and communications from the owner. It seems like there is a lot going on behind the scenes with home rentals in the area, but we didn’t really appreciate being treated as if we were going to destroy the place and break all the rules before we even arrived. Especially because we were completely transparent about our plans and number of people. Worth it because we really needed a place to sleep after the Hood to Coast, but otherwise just not worth the hassle and accusatory tone we dealt with.

Both our careers are in the area of "Service" to others. Bill manages properties along the Oregon coast and Marie operates our RV & Vacation Rentals (Weherdcats RV & Vacation Rentals) and manages the chaos of our 3 kids.

If there is anything we can do to make your time more enjoyable and satisfying....WE WANT TO KNOW!

We love water destinations! Beach and lakes are where we end up most of the time. Our favorite destinations are Bullards Beach State Park and Detroit Lake State Rec area, driving on Sunset Beach, Cannon and Manzanita, Seaside and Cape Disappointment. We also try to make it to Lake Billy Chinook once a year. We love taking the kids out on the boat or crabbing and fishing at the beach.

The business started with renting our 28ft trailer and we enjoyed making others vacation dreams come true. It wasn't long before we had 4 trailers and 2 beach houses. It's been a true labor of love.

Crookshanks is a 28ft Keystone Passport Ultra lite (Extended Season) that sleeps 8, with a slide and outdoor kitchen

Sprockets is a 2018 American Dream Trailer Boat (only a handful of it’s kind) Custom Made that sleep 2
Lady May is a fully restored, Vintage, 1971 Red Dale Travel Trailer that sleeps 3

Mermaids Song is a 4 bedroom, 1.5 bath Beach Bungalow that sleeps 10, one ( Very Short) block to the beach and the Necanicum River (estuary) in Seaside Oregon

Swallow The Anchor is a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2 story house that sleeps 14 with Sunset Lake access in the back and Sunset Beach to it's front.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We chose this house for it's unique appearance and beautiful and bold color. It has amazing sunsets and sunrises which is something we both have always admired. The location can't be beat. You truly are in the heart of everything the North Coast has to offer yet the feeling that you have retreated to a sanctuary. The lake offers endless activities and the beach is just a a stroll though the private wooded beach trails. It never gets old watching the deer and elk and the variety of beautiful birds and other wildlife.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Swallow The Anchor is close to everything. Truly we can go from Astoria to Rockaway in a day and experience each towns nuance. The wildlife that calls Surf Pines home are majestic to watch and the house itself is spacious but intimate and can easily be enjoyed by two or fourteen.
