The house was perfect and had everything we needed. The gardens were absolutely gorgeous and the location was so peaceful. We are looking at booking again.
Fantastic hosts, and beautiful property. My son and I came here to rest and recharge, and it was the perfect location. It was our first visit to the Chattanooga area, and the homeâs location was perfect, and offered an escape from the hustle around us. The dogs, horses, and goats were such a joy to be around! We canât wait to visit again!
Hard to find a single bad thing to say about our visit other than it was way too short. Super responsive and friendly host. Great venue. Loved the goats. Friendly dogs to pet. Wonderful layout for our Thanksgiving dinner. I can't wait to come back.
In the area for family wedding activities with our two sons and their girlfriends. The farmhouse was a wonderful alternative to sterile hotel rooms. Relaxed on screen porch with our morning coffee. Played fetch with Jed, fed the goats and petted the horses. Wish we could stay longer!
Stayed for one night while passing through and wish we had more time. The property is lovely and serene. The house is wonderful, the perfect blend of rustic and modern. We arrived early evening and had no problem accessing the house. The family enjoyed chatting with the owner and feeding the goats. We may now come back just to visit the area more, it is very conveniently located to lots of activities that weâd like to try. Highly recommended.
Our annual Christmas trip this year took us to Chattanooga. The farmhouse only being 15 min away from Chattanooga was the perfect location to have the quiet country mountain experience close to the city. The farmhouse was perfect size for our family of six. There was a well stocked kitchen to cook breakfast in the mornings with a long farm table that seats 12 or more. We had a bonfire Friday night which was the perfect backdrop to finish up our evening. Itâs so peaceful and quiet out here even with multiple people staying at various residences on the property. We played games while relaxing on the screened in porch. We watched Clemson beat Ohio State Saturday night while eating delicious Community Pie take out pizza. Also impressive is when you are upstairs you canât hear anything from downstairs. The beds were super comfortable. I would highly recommend Mimiâs Farmhouse. Some of the fun activities we did while visiting the area were Ruby Falls, Rock City, walked around downtown Chattanooga and Riverwalk art district. It was the perfect place to spend our Christmas trip!
My family and I stayed at Mimiâs Guesthouse right before the Christmas Holidays. In a year when everything was different, Mimiâs was a welcomed respite from the craziness. The house was big with plenty of room for our teenagers to get away from us. However it also had comfortable places for us to gather as well, including the front porch where my sons were delighted to play and visit with the farm dogs. The story of how Mimiâs Guesthouse came to be is also very inspiring. The house, the intricate decorating details, and the warm atmosphere of the farm itself make it more than evident that Mimi herself once shared lots of love and hospitality and has been loved and honored by her family in return. The location of the property is great! Just far enough from everything to find peace, but close enough to Chattanooga and Lookout Mountain. We even made an easy trip into Ft. Payne Alabama from this location to visit Little River Canyon and the Alabama Fan Club and Museum. I would also say that anyone looking to get married should look no further. The venue was so beautiful that I almost wanted to get married to my husband there all over again! Thank you Jill, Margie and family for the use of your beautiful property! We hope to see you again real soon!
Grandgirls loved being able to feed the goats and playing with the dog. We loved the room to spread out and spend time without being crowded. House was nice!!
Owners responded quickly, goat time was great and we loved their dogs. The house is an older farmhouse but stocked overall well. Suggestions: put a toaster in the kitchen as we brought bagels for the kids and there wasnât a toaster. Also get some larger coffee mugs. We had to go buy a couple as there was only tea cups there.
What a beautiful location. The house sits on a hill overlooking a vast farm with chickens, goats, horses, and work dogs. Our kids loved the animals and run across the field. The house is comfortable with a very large common area. The host was responsive and helped us greatly when our travel plans changed. Highly recommend.
Gracious hosts, great communication, lovely property. We spent our days doing all of the Chattanooga tourist things & this was such a pretty âhome baseâ to come back to. The kids had fun exploring the farm & visiting the animals as well!
Our family enjoyed our time on the farm. My kids loved feeding the goats and going for a walk to look at the beautiful flowers. It was nice to get away and relax.
We did a short family trip here with 5 adults and 3 children, and had a great time! The house is spacious with plenty of room for all of us. The beds and couch were comfy. It's one of a few buildings, which include a lovely barn wedding venue, another guest house, and a small treehouse. There is a garden, goats, horses, and so much land!! Our pup really enjoyed the space to run. The views of Lookout Mountain are beautiful and it's close to hiking!
We absolutely loved our stay! I was looking for a place that we could slow down and connect and this was the perfect spot! I wish I could share all my pictures of the beautiful farm and views of Lookout Mountain. My boys loved exploring the open areas and became best friends with the dogs and goats. The farmhouse was so special with touches of its history all around! Youâll feel like you are stopping in to visit family. My husband and I spent a lot of our time on the screened porch overlooking the beautiful flowers and barn setting. This is a working farm so it was also a great way to teach my boys (10 and 12) what hard work and responsibility looks like with the owners and their family working (even in the rain) to complete their daily chores. Anytime we drive near the Chattanooga area we will plan a stay here!
Fabulous Farmhouse, Beautiful Property, Friendly and Helpful Owners
My family of 7 stayed at Mimiâs Farmhouse for a Spring Break trip. We had an incredible time. The hosts were incredibly gracious and hospitable. It is located just far enough outside of town to be quiet and relaxing, yet close enough to get to the city without spending most of your time driving. We loved feeding the goats, playing with the dogs, and petting the horses. David was so helpful with suggesting things to see and places to eat. We even got a special visit from Margie, who brought over a couple baby goats for the children (and adults) to hold. My kids wanted to stay indefinitely! It was a perfect fit for our family, who loves animals, being in the country, and having plenty of space. If we return to the Chattanooga area, we will definitely try to stay here again,
Absolutely loved the setting (totally seeing the magic of getting married at the The Barn at High Point), the farm and Mimiâs Guest House. What a great place to get back and forth to the sights of Chattanooga and Lookout Mountain. Loved seeing the horses and feeding the goats. House was great, accommodated us quite well with almost every amenity we needed.
Thanks again!
I fell in love with this farm! The owners were great and super friendly! I loved walking the huge property and visiting all the animals they had. It was also just fifteen minutes from lookout mountain all the caving we do. I would definitely stay here again. They also use this place for weddings so the grounds were beautifully manicured.
Our family had an awesome time. Staying on a working farm, we feed the goats, threw frisbee with farm dog, watched horses , enjoyed our walks around the farm. The home was a joyful, relaxing place to stay. We had 7 adults, a 1 year old and was very comfortable. We made beautiful family memories. We would love to visit again.
This has got to be one of the amazing properties we have stayed at. Mimiâs guesthouse was the most amazing and peaceful stay. From the quietness and relaxing location to the beauty of antiques and farmhouse decor. There was more than enough room for our family that was there for my sisters birthday. The whole home and visit was comfortable and relaxing in every aspect. I highly recommend this place to anyone. We definitely will be back to stay in the spring or summer when everything is in full bloom.
This is family property with two families living on the 75-acre farm. We are a working farm with a small cattle breeding program, lots of goats, horses, and chickens. We are a Boutique Flower Farm recognized through the Georgia Agri-Tourism Department. We also host barn wedding events on many weekends. We are blessed with beautiful property and enjoy sharing a bit of our heaven with the community through certain events as well as offer several houses for lodgers occasionally.
This is family property purchased long ago by my parents. The farm has evolved over the years and our blood, sweat, and tears are wrapped up in this piece of land. It is a bit of an experience just to come to the farm and to enjoy watching the farm activities. The location is perfect as it is out in the country so it is safe and serene yet so close to Chattanooga (a straight shot north) as well as many great parks like Cloudland Canyon and Chickamauga Battlefield.
It is a safe piece of property (gated) and conveniently located to Chattanooga as well as the many Georgia activities like Cloudland Canyon State Park. If you are looking for a totally secluded place to stay, we are not for you. If you are attracted to the thought of a farm stay, the check us out. Whether it is watching the hay get cut in the front field, watching grandchildren riding their horses, seeing the flower gardens being planted/cut/weeded, or visiting the goats at the fences - the farm is a refuge from a busy life and a taste of life in a by-gone era.
