Stayed at this cabin in Robbinsvile and would highly recommend it to anyone. Out of 10 stars Iâd give this place 100 stars. Definitely will use this cabin again.
Great cabin , is perfect for several people and that each bedroom gets a bathroom. Not great for motorcycleâs, uphill gravel driveway and they want to charge you for taking away the trash. However is Beautiful community and a terrific cabin
My family of 5 spent our Thanksgiving holiday at this fabulous cabin, and we just had the best time. What a fantastic surprise walking into the cabin to find a beautifully decorated, full size Christmas tree!! That made my day after a 12 hour car ride :-). The cabin was clean, it had everything needed to make yourself feel at home, and matched the pictures perfectly. It's situated in the Mountains with breathtaking views from every window and deck. There are nearby stores for supplies, and about 1 1/2 hours drive away from Pigeon Forge if you want to visit bigger city attractions for a day. Great place to spend quality, family time. We loved the cabin and are already planning for when we can return.
Place was very clean and had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Area offers so much to do⊠boating, kayaking, hiking, etc. Great place to enjoy with your family (and the place was much bigger that expected). Weâll definitely be back!
This cabin is bigger than it looks in the pictures. Nice open floor plan and big bedrooms. There is not a lot to do in Robbinsville NC except hiking. We went to go trail riding in our jeeps. The forestry roads were all closed - wish we had known that before we went. Dragonâs Tail is close by.
We LOVED our stay at the Black Oak!! We loved it so much we are considering looking for a home or property to build on and move there. Such beauty everywhere!!!
Cozy and wonderful for five of us. Drive way is easy with our mini van. The only complaint is the Internet is via satellite, spotty and slow. We brought our own Amazon cube and it doesn't work at all. Kids can't play online games. But this allow us to focus on family, which is more important!!
We love this area and weâre very happy here during our stay. Itâs a very quiet spot a few minutes from town.
Beautifully appointed house with a lovely deck to enjoy the forest. Striking distance to all the local attractions. The roads are some of the best in the world, towed my motorcycle up and enjoyed the area daily.
Came up to drive my car on the dragon and the driveway is horrible. Gravel with a high apex. Cracked my lip on my car getting in. The house is very nice but prepare to be bored once your there. It would be 1,000 times better if there was at least a fire pit or hot tub. Who doesnât have a fire pit or a hot tub in the mountains?
This is a really lovely secluded property. It is well-stocked and accommodates a larger family or group with a large common room and kitchen table. It's a ways from the most popular spots in the National Park, but after experiencing the crowds, we decided this was the place to be! There are plenty of spots closer to enjoy hiking, and outdoors.
This cabin and the property management saved our vacation. We had rented a previous place that was uninhabitable and we booked here on an emergency for next day check in and was able to check in early. This home is beautiful. There are great views, it is quiet and cozy. Perfect for a family getaway. Great wood burning fireplace and giant kitchen table to gather at. Wonderful porch and high chairs for staring at the views. Quiet and cozy with everything you need. We will be back.
Everything about this house and property is perfect. The best part to us, though, was that the interior and exterior were decorated for Christmas! It made this trip much more special!
The kitchen was huge and well-stocked. The beds were comfy, and the Wifi was superb. The neighborhood/development is secluded, yet the roads are nicely paved. There is even a Club House with tennis courts and a swimming pool for the Summer months.
We definitely would recommend this to anyone wanting to escape the madness of the world, yet be close enough to a town with plenty of places to shop for anything you might need. This property is definitely perfection in the Smoky Mtns!
Property was very nice. In the third bedroom there were two beds which was not advertised but appreciated by the teenage boys. If you are looking for access to experiences on south end of national park, then it is good location. If interested in spending multiple days in park or at attractions on north end, be prepared for an hour plus drive one way.
This is a beautiful house, located in a very private setting. We brought motorcycles to enjoy the scenery. House very spacious and comfortable. At any time of the year if you plan on biking and renting this house be very mindful of the following:
The driveway is gravel, a large hump in the center that makes driving the motorcycle (up & down) a bit challenging. We brought a small trailer (holds only 2 bikes), there was no real "good" place to park it to remove the bikes, again very challenging. backing the trailer up the driveway was difficult. Road into the cabin is very windy and narrow, a larger trailer would not be able to manage the road.
The internet is very week, if you have multiple people using the wifi it will be really slow. TV cable is basic, Netflix was constantly buffering due to the weakness of the internet.
We could not locate the lock box for entry into the house. I was told this information was in an email but I never received the email.
