A really great stay at the apartment, the location was great for being close by to get to bus and Rome centre. Host was very great and gave brilliant instructions and preparation for the trip, welcome pack had loads of great ideas around the area. Lovely suburban area, quiet and lovely to be among Italian people living their everyday lives.
The stay was excellent. The apartment was just as advertised. We spent most of our time out and about but we did enjoy a nightcap in the garden. The bed was comfy and our communication with Patrizia was very prompt.
Patrizio was very prompt in communicating before our arrival and during our stay. The property had lots of lovely character and a little garden to sit in. She was there to welcome us on our arrival with a welcome gift. The kitchen was stocked for our first and subsequent light breakfasts. There was a welcome book with lots of information to make navigating the area so much easier. I would highly recomment this lovely apartment in a quiet neighbourhood close to restaurants, shops and transportation.
The apartment was lovely, with a well-appointed kitchen and comfortable bedroom. We had access to the back garden, which provided a relaxing retreat. Shopping, restaurants and cafes are within walking distance. Major attractions are reasonably close.
The Gianicolo Garden apartment was a perfect place for our month in Rome-- and Patrizia was the perfect host! She warmly welcomed us on arrival, provided us with plenty of information about the area, and basically made us feel immediately at home. Communicating via text was perfect for scheduling linen changes, arranging for an extra guest-- and updating us when the new pope was picked! The apartment is beautifully decorated and in walking distance to Trastevere and Quattro Venti stations, with a few bus stops nearby. We actually walked to/from everywhere (including Prati, Vatican City, Centro Storico, and the Colosseum) because sometimes it was just as quick as taking the bus! The private garden is gorgeous. The neighborhood gelateria-- La Gourmandise-- is THE BEST. Period. Thank you so much for everything, Patrizia! We had a fantastic month in our temporary Monteverde Vecchio home!
Such a great place to stay if you're looking for the Italian-homey feel while you're staying in Rome. Beautiful and safe area, and also manageable to walk if you prefer. Loved our experience!
We absolutely loved our stay at Gianicolo Garden. It was so great with the private garden and the neighbourhood felt nice and safe. Patrizia was helpful and showed us where to find things nearby and how to get to different places by bus etc. We would love to go back!
The bedding and towels had such a strong perfume smell it was hard to sleep. Not sure if itâs the laundry detergent or if they were sprayed with something. The smell filled the apartment and was very strong.
Quaintly decorated and well maintained, this apartment is located in a quiet suburb of Rome, within walking distance of many wonderful restaurants and with a store nearby.
This little apartment was ideal. It was on the outskirts of town, but within walking distance of everything. Much quieter than downtown Rome, which was a relief at the end of the day. The garden was lush and enjoyable. Patrizia communicated constantly and gave great pointers and advice. The place had everything we could need. Water was hot, pressure was good, bed was firm, A/C worked well. No complaints and really enjoyed staying there.
This was such a great place to stay while we were in Rome for 5 days. Comfortable bed and functional kitchen. So much better than a hotel! Very beautiful and safe. The host, Patrizia, was great with communication, helped with directions, and transportation. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. We even walked to the Trevi fountain and the Pantheon.
While the place is about 40 minutes walking from most Rome tourist attractions, we got lots of steps and stair climbing making our way there. Good to walk off pizza and pasta. Found awesome places for breakfast and dinner near by. Bus transportation is great. Patrizie is very responsive. Place is clean and bed is comfortable.
Everything was just perfect. The appartment was very clean and absolutely spotless. After sightseeing tours in the loud and busy centre of Rome it always was a relieve coming back to this quiet and cosy appartment with this beautiful garden. Patricia was a very friendly and attentive host! 5-stars plus from us for this accomodation! Barbara & Michael
What an absolutely wonderful place, my wife and I used this location in Rome as a base for our two-week stay in country. Patrizia was a wonderful host and went above and beyond what we expected. She assisted in our getting our airport ride rescheduled due to flight delays and provided us with not only a list of places to eat due to our late arrival, but she also provided us with a welcome gift in case we didn't feel like going out to dinner that night.
We truly enjoyed our time there and have already recommended it as a place for friends of ours.
5 - star indeed.
My wife and I enjoyed staying in the quiet villa apartment with private garden in a comfortable Italian neighborhood up on the Trastevere hill across the river from Rome. Our host was very kind and helpful. She arranged for a car to pick us up at the airport which I recommend and settled us into the neighborhood. The restaurants in the neighborhood were great and a market was conveniently close by. It was perfect!
It was a lovely stay. Although we found the apartment a bit far from the centre (its walking distance (20mins) but you have to climb a series of stairs) the place was completely worth it. It's very very clean, the bed is super comfortable and the bathroom has a funny distribution but fulfills its purpose admirably! ;) Patrizia in a super nice host, very welcoming and kind. All in all, a very good experience and very recommendable for those looking for a quiet nook in the buzzing Italian capital.
Our stay in this appartment was amazing!
The appartment is well located, in a nice and quiet neighbourhood (Monteverde). It was close to bus stops, some restaurants et shops. It is on top of a hill, so you have a nice view of the city, but quite a lot of stairs if you are planning on walking to/from the historic center.
The appartment is nicely decorated, with natural light and all the equipment you need! There is also a nice little garden.
The host is wonderful and so nice! The instructions were clear, communications were easy and the host was so lovely. It really felt like home.
We highly recommand this appartment if you want to stay in a fully equipped appartment in a less busy neighbourhood, but still close to all the main attractions!
We had an extraordinary and excellent time at Patriziaâs cosy house. She was very helpful when we had questions regarding our staying. She helped us to book restaurants and check for shopping. I also liked a lot when she respond quickly and always in a professional kind way just as italians are. We stayed super comfortable in the room. I slept in the bed like heaven. I was more then happy of how cleaned it was. The garden outside is lovely - it felt like coming home. The area around and the architectures are one of a kind. We will come back again to Gianicolo Garden and Patrizia with famiglia.
The apartment is a charming one bedroom flat a short flight up from the street. There is a gated entrance to a tiled courtyard with access to a garden patio in the rear. The flat is equipped with DeLonghi espresso machine and washing machine. Part of the charm of the flat is its unusual bathroom. My wife and I laughed as we showered the long hot Roman days away in the tri-level bagno. We loved the neighborhood. It is a true Roman residential neighborhood above Trastevere and adjacent to Monteverde! Highly recommended!
Patrizia was a great host! Great communication in advance, a welcome package with info on the neighbourhood and useful tips on transit, etc. Helped make arrangements for us for our return trip to the airport. The neighbourhood is terrific. Walking distance and Trastavere and relatively easy transit to most places in central Rome. Easy walk to the subway. Comfy bedroom and very secure. Love the garden! If we are ever to come back to Rome we will stay again! Thank you very much! Blair & Monique
Review of our stay at Gianicolo Garden Apartment, Rome.
We were delighted with all aspects of our stay at the apartment. Patrizia, the host, was very helpful and very friendly. Because we were happy with everything, we did not have to bother her during our one week stay. The apartment was really nice, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. The location of the apartment is in a really nice area, quite and close to all amenities and to public transport. The private outside space at the back of the apartment was lovely and a really nice place to sit amongst the beautiful trees and plants, a welcome peaceful oasis away from the busy streets of the city. We would definitely return to the apartment and would be very happy to recommend it to others. Again, thank you very much Patrizia for making our stay in Rome a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.
I work in the media field and we love Roma and this wonderful neighbourhood, where you can enjoy the best part of the city. Gardening is my preferred hobby.
As soon as I saw this house, it was "love at first sight". The building is ancient, but filled with sunshine. It has a fascinating garden. Located in the centre of Roma, but in a green public area, it has bus connections to the most important monuments. You are staying in the centre, but it feels like living in a small 1900s village. Nearby, a few metres away, you can enjoy 3 of Romeâs best restaurants, pastries, and bars.
Tastefully furnished but in an efficient and cosy way, very bright, with a queen-size bed, and if needed a futon sofa-bed. A quiet neighbourhood surrounded by green and the outdoor markets of Romaâs centre. You will find everything you need for the toilet and the kitchen in the house.
