This home is absolutely beautiful! Very clean and well taken care of! The fish in the water and the manatee swimming up the canal was awesome. Absolutely no complaints had every thing we needed. Thank you very much for sharing your home with us!!!
We absolutely loved the house. The location was great. It was clean and the back patio was so festive and right on the canal. If we ever come back, we will book again.
This house had a very open floor plan and comfortable furniture. The master bedroom was spacious but the master closet was locked so there was no place to hang up nicer clothes but there was a little room in the second bedroom closet to hang up clothes. The second bedroom had a nice bed but it was pretty tight for the room size. The bathrooms were small but functional. The hot tub looked nice but we couldnât use it at all due to the chemicals being too strong. Loved the location and we would stay there again.
Was ok. Mold in bedroom vent. Outside furniture wore out. Cushions were terrible, but had cute pillows. No ice would come out of fridge. Stingy on toilet paper. No body wash or shampoo. Furniture in living room was dirty. For 1700 it wasn't worth it. Overall it served it's purpose.
The house was cute and the âbackyardâ was great to sit out at. Location was good for getting around. Nice for walks. We went to a public beach and there were no beach chairs for us - we bought 2 and left them for others! Nice ones! So next guests should be set on chairs!
Beware of this owner. She is trying to charge us for things in her house that are already worn and broken when we arrived. Some things are already dated and have nothing to do with our stay. Make sure you take pictures and inspect everything when you first arrive. There was dirty underwear in the closet and blood on the linens. An extra cleaning fee is one thing but replacing and fixing her items that she needs a handyman to come in and fix is outrageous. This lady sent me some crazy messages and needs a reality check. She blamed me for a mark on her table, and I have pictures to prove that it was there when we arrived. Since my credit card is on file, she has billed my credit card after the fact. Always inspect and take pictures of every single thing when you first arrive. If everything doesnât work perfectly alert her right away in writing and send pictures. Iâm being charged for a broken cabinet that was hanging when we arrived. This place needs updating and some TLC so be prepared to pay to start updating her place. Buyer beware. Never in my life have I experienced anything like this!
Overall we enjoyed our stay. We could tell the ownerâs family has enjoyed the property, which provides a certain warmth. Owners must be short of stature. Low toilets and mirrors (at 5â9â I could not see my entire face w/o squatting a bit). No usable closet in MBR. Wild life in the canal-including a manatee! Plenty of towels for bath and beach. Everyone we met was friendly at Key Colony. Very quiet. Owner was quick to respond to inquiries. Hot tub was quite clean. We would return, except maybe my 6â5â son in law, who hit his head twice on the light fixture part of the ceiling fan in the LR.
We had a wonderful time in Key Colony the house was really well equipped and clean, with gorgeous outdoor space on the water - perfect base from which to explore the Keys for a family
Wonderful stay. The property was very nice. We saw manatees and a sea turtle right from the patio. The outdoor area is just phenominal for relaxation and truly enjoying the view of the water.
The owner is difficult to communicate with. Threatens extra fees if garbage isnât taken down to the street at a certain time. Got an attitude with me via text.
âą mildew towel in drier - all of them soaking wet
âą very dirty floor - feet were black after walking to unload luggage
âą quiet patio to relax
âą cutie sitting in family room - not comfortable seating
âą needed to wear flip-flops in shower - dirty
âą kitchen well stocked and great
âą lightening - POOR
Very nice, well kept and most important clean. Host was very informative and communication was great. Great neighborhood, clean, quiet. We will for sure check to make sure this property is available when we come back to the keys!
This was a quiet little community that worked perfect for a 20 year anniversary trip! The bathrooms were a bit dated and could use some cleaning. But the main area/kitchen was awesome and worked well!! The outdoor area was definitely where we spent our time! Would stay again!
The outside area was fantastic. Spent most of are time at the house outside. The only problem we had was 3 wash cloths for 4 adults. I tried to get contact information such as phone number
In case we had any problems. None were given.
The place and location were good. We saw a manatee in the channel right by the house. The cabana beach club that we had access to was great. Nice beach and pool and good drinks there. Food looked good but we did not eat there. The unit itself had a few issues, the Hot tub was not operational even though it was supposed to be. The noseeums were bad so bring bug spray. The outside was a great feature but the furniture was very uncomfortable âold bad cushionsâ we did enjoy our stay and the owner was very responsive when we had questions.
When we entered the house, we first noticed how clean it looked and smelled. A to the cleaning crew! The canal view was great, we even had manatees visit us a few times. The accommodations were good, with a couple of exceptions. I will say that the host was spot on with regard to communication. So now the few things that were not quite up to par or as advertised. 1. The jacuzzi was not working. The hot tub sold me on picking this place. I had visions of the wife and I sitting in the hot tub, on the canal, a bottle of wine, the sunset; you get my point. The host said she was not aware it was broken. 2. The only light that worked in the guest bedroom was in the closet. I am a pretty smart person and I could not figure out how to turn on the fan light or the nightstand lights. Not a big deal but a deal none the less. Lastly, the pictures on the listing were not exactly what you got when you pulled in the driveway. The patio furniture looks new in the listing, its not new by any means. The driveway is overshadowed by a 31' center console boat sitting to the left of the drive. There was also a golf cart in the carport that prevented us from parking there. That does not sound like a big deal, but when you park a black car in the South Florida sun for a couple of hours, it gets very hot, and I do not like sweating in my driver's seat dressed up to go to dinner. With a few minor fixes, I would stay there again. The Host was very nice and responsive. Thanks E!
When we arrived we realized the bed sheets werenât washed and so after traveling all day we had to begin washing all of the bed sheets. The lights did not work outside and so we couldnât even see to do the laundry which is outside under the carport. The toilets were also filthy. We were told that a squatter probably got in and they would change the code. We also had to buy plastic silverware after finding mice poop throughout the kitchen drawers. We were done cleaning and wanted to enjoy our vacation and decided plastic silverware would get the job done. The neighbors are very friendly and the view from the back patio very nice.
