We arrived to HHI and were excited to settle in but oddly enough you have to drive next door to pick up a physical parking pass (would prefer to print at home and make one less stop). Once we got to the unit itself we were excited. The layout was awesome and was exactly as pictured. Over the course of the stay our disappointments started. While it looked clean at first, over a couple days you noticed cobwebs in almost every corner. My wife noticed the kitchen chandelier was broken and a hazzard - I informed the Vacasa team and they did...NOTHING. You could start to tell that management was MIA. As we started to use the place we noticed the kitchen has the BARE minimum. 4 small coffee cups? Knifes that aren't sharp. $1 dishes from Walmart. The front door handle was so loose it almost fell off - fortunately I found a screw driver to fix it myself.
Bottomline it's a great layout and a nice unit, but if you have any problems you have absentee management who won't help
The location is perfect for golf and for the beach. The layout of the townhouse is very nice. We have been coming to Evian 275 for 7 years, and signed up for next year. It's ideal for my sister and myself.
This was a great place. Was clean and lots of room . Very quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed our coffee in the mornings sitting on the patio watching the golfers. Our vacation was very enjoyable and we would love to come back.
October visit from Germany with wife and daughter (17)
We were very impressed with the place, when we arrived. Everything seemed rather new and very spacious for us 3. Two bedrooms with attached bathrooms above and separate tables for breakfast in the kitchen and dinner in the living room were just some general features that make this place very comfortable.. With the beautiful view on Fareway #9 of the golf course from the master bed room (above) and the small terrace below it was even entertaining. Same applied to the alligators hanging around close to the pool.
Less than 100 yards distance to the pool + tennis. Option to park the car right at the beach at Sonesta Resort within just a five minute drive. Wished, I would have brought my tennis and golf equipment.
Vacasa. Service was close to perfect placing the required soap, washing powder, dishwasher taps etc. for new guests in the kitchen and being accessible via phone and email
Our stay at Shipyard was wonderful. Nice villa and easy access and close to the Cross Island Parkway for trips around the Island. Extra bonus is the tolls have been discontinued on the Parkway!
Condo was very convenient to the entire island. The community beach was close, 5-6 min bike ride to the beach. Condo had all the necessary items needed for the stay. Only reason I gave a 4 stars was the beds. They were very, very soft and just plain uncomfortable. You literally sank into the bed.. Definitely need to be replaced
Perfect if you need some space, peace, and are happy to take very short drive to beach
This place was fantastic -- peaceful neighborhood, room to spread out and feel like home, comfortable, extremely convenient to Sea Pines, Harbor Town, Coligny Beach, restaurants, etc. While we didn't use the pool or the Shipyard beach access (since we were visiting family in Sea Pines and did the beach there), it was great that the pool was just across the road and it was a nice view out the back with the stream and golf course. It was very quick to go to CVS or pick up food, etc. and was very convenient for going to areas in Sea Pines (where you can, if you have the parking permit, park in a lot and take a trolley to drop you off at the beach). Bike lanes are nice and I wish I'd checked out what the process is for using beach access at Shipyard (parking, etc.) though you could also do Coligny Beach and park there -- but if you do Coligny, it's a very busy beach, parking was full, and it's a bit of a walk from that parking, which is across a very busy road and we had to park all the way at the park and get another family member to drop off/pick us up to shuttle us back to the car in the heat! There's probably a trolley option there we weren't aware of, though. I prefer a less crowded beach to Coligny. We will happily stay here again next time we visit. Recommendations: bring a few extra garbage bags if you don't plan to make a trip to the store anyway, and be warned that there's a lot of bright sunlight streaming into the master bedroom early in the morning, even with the blinds closed. Blackout or room darkening curtains would be great there! Or bring your own though the ceilings are high and it wouldn't be easy to pin them up there. Kitchen has both regular coffee pot and keurig, toaster, blender, microwave so that's very convenient. Not as "complete" in terms of extra utensils and such as if at home, but not too bad if you aren't doing a lot of gourmet cooking (so bring your own specialty things if you do plan to do that). Highly recommend overall!
Great place for a relaxing vacation for families and couples wanting to get away. People are VERY friendly and we will return again. Shipyard area is the best and very close to everything HHI has to offer.
Stayed for three weeks in Dec/Jan. The location was very convenient to everything on the island. Villa was clean and I had no issues with anything during my stay. I extended the stay 1 week and would have stayed longer if I could have. Nice view of the 9th fairway at Brigantine.
Loved this 2-story townhome and the beds were so comfortable! It also had a very relaxing view out the back to enjoy your morning coffee. We will def be back!
Iâm giving four stars because it was a nice decent sized property. The neighborhood was very nice. The reason I donât give five stars is because it was not within walking distance. It was maybe a 30 to 40 minute walk to the beach. That is not walking distance at all which is a huge reason why I booked. It was only a short drive but still. We also could not get warm water if both bathrooms were used at the same time. Other than that it was nice.
Nice home we enjoyed it.
Pros - close to pool, bike ride to beach, comfortable wooded setting with golf course views.
Cons - Dangerous steps on 1st floor. Step into kitchen from entrance is not obvious. Wood floor in entrance is same color as kitchen making it hard to realize there is a step down into the kitchen. My wife fell twice. Need different color on step edge to highlight step.
A/C went out twice in 1 week.
