CLEANING
-CLEAN BED PROMISE: Padre Escapes launders our standardized linen, including every comforter, every sheet, every pillowcase, every towel - EVERY TIME!
-After each stay we replace all towels and linens from our 6100SF laundry facility where they are washed in temps of at least 60sC/140sF, exceeding CDC recommendations.
-Every property is stocked with bath towels and washcloths for the maximum occupancy of the property, along with one hand towel per bathroom.
-These starter amenities are provided for your convenience until you can go shopping and are not replenished during your stay: hand/bath soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, and a sponge.
-We inspect every property to make sure it is up to standard and ready for your arrival.

-A two-night minimum stay is required.
-A signed Rental Agreement is required prior to check in. Contracting guests of Padre Escapes must be 25 years of age or older and have a valid State Driver’s License or other acceptable ID. The ID must match the guest’s name on the reservation.

Please work on cleanliness and maintenance

We’ve stayed at this resort numerous times and this is definitely the lowest rated condo we’ve stayed in. First and foremost the sheets were not clean at all. There was grit, sand, dirt and hair under the bed spread. This was very off putting and set the tone for the remainder of our stay. The floors were not clean either and were pretty much the same as the bed sheet-dirty. Secondly, the toaster did not work and the drawer for the utensils was broken and they had to set them on a shelf. We will not be returning to this unit. For what was given and the state of the condo we overpaid. Renter beware.

Perfect Spot!

My husband and I wanted to do a Friday to Monday getaway at the beach and found this little gem! It was perfect for the 2 of us, in a great location, clean and cute as can be! Everything went perfectly and we plan to return! Highly recommend!

Great couples beach getaway!

With so many choices available in this location, we decided on this small condo. Let me say, it was perfect for us and our weekend getaway. You have a 5 or so minute walk to the beach, great location, easy access to Padre island and the other beaches along the coast. Definitely a great couples spot for the money.

Avoid any property managed by Padre Escapes

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Check in is at 4pm. At 4:45, I texted them asking for check in procedures and a door code. All parking spots are reserved they did not notify me where I could park. Claims that cleaning exceeds all sanitizing standards given COVID were a lie. Bed sheets stained with brown bodily fluids, dead bugs on the floor, walls with colorful stains with embedded hair, hair on the shower wall and the bathroom door...disgusting. There was no after hours number to call. What would have happened if the AC went out? Less important but on top of all the other issues, their "well-stocked kitchen" has no oil or spices of any kind (not even salt or pepper) so you will need to buy your own if you plan on cooking. The only upside is the location near the beach, but you can find another property near the beach. Avoid this property, or any property managed by Padre Escapes.

Whitecap Beach!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We discovered these condos during a previous stay in Padre which prompted us to book here. Walking distance to the beach!!! Which is a plus for us. The condo is cute and nicely decorated. It's a tight fit for a family of 4 (my kids are teens), but we made it work just fine. Furniture was nice and we had what we needed to cook, so no complaints there. It was fairly clean, but could use a true deep clean. The AC cooled the condo well, however, it was extremely loud when sleeping in the bedroom. There wasn't a vacuum, which I suggest given as much sand as you can bring in from a day at the beach. The ice maker on the fridge froze up and caused a leak, thus resulting in us waking up and walking on water. We called maintenance and they resolved the issue, cleaned up the water, brought a dehumidifier promptly. The only down side to that is that the waterline to the ice maker was shut off to prevent the leak from occurring again. The property in general could use TLC. The lawn wasn't particularly maintained and was overgrown. The fishing pond was awesome! We all caught large fish and blue crabs! Aside from the hiccups, it was a great time. We'll be back.
