We stayed in this apartment for over three weeks and came to see it as our home, especially after spending long days out exploring and just walking around this wonderful city.
We agree with all the positive comments about this apartment and the area.
Everything essential is within easy walking distance (after trying their goods, we came to think of one of the bakeries (Turris) as essential). We found within a few blocks four excellent Tapis restaurants--chosen randomly--and many others we did not try. Large and small groceries and pharmacies are close by. There is a large farmers market about five blocks away, which has every fresh food item you could hope for. A stop for the very clean and safe Metro is a block away, and it connects you to all parts of the city.
The sunlight in the living room and front bedroom is fantastic. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. We ate most of our meals there and found the kitchen more than adequately equipped, although the cooking knives are a little dull.
Our hosts, Tina and Arturo, were great: warm and helpful. Any time we had a more complicated message, their son Javier, would help with translations. I will note two exceptional accommodations: the refrigerator went out, and a new one was delivered and installed the very next day!; the hair dryer also died, and Arturo delivered a new one the next day, which was a Sunday.
There are five flights of stairs up to the apartment, and we used them for additional exercise, but the lift
