The view did not disappoint! And daily visits from turtles and other marine visitors was so much fun!We would do this again! Some things to know: parking is tight, smells like old mildew, and don't leave food out for the ants. Not all outlets work for charging phones at night. Hosts were FANTASTIC, very informative and accommodating.
The pictures are accurate, beach is right out your door, but a little bit of effort with details would go a long way. We donât stay in extra fancy places (some of our vacations have had no running water and an outhouse), so I donât think our expectations are extreme when staying at VRBOâs, itâs just nice to know what youâre getting into. The kitchen dishes/tools, bedding, and towels could use an upgrade. Soap for the laundry would have been a nice touch. The AC was a window unit in the bedroom and did not at all help the living area cool down. The windows didnât open easily to help with a breeze, one we were afraid to try to open because it seemed the saltwater had sealed it shut. While we were there, the waves were way too extreme for swimming. The rental was clean, but just felt like it was equipped with the bare minimum. Neither the bed nor the furniture were that comfortable. Also, we might have missed this info in the listing but there is another unit attached to the property, so even if it states that their outdoor space is their upper deck, our experience was the other renters using our yard space and moving our designated outdoor furniture. We had thought that when we booked this property we would be lounging in the quiet of our own yard, but found the nearby beaches to be a better location to relax.
Nice place right on the water with beautiful view of the ocean and nearby mountains to the south. It's comfortable for two. The only thing we missed was a better equipped kitchen since restaurant options nearby are minimal and not so good. But all in all, a good place.
Great and easy access. Parking lot is small but reasonable once you figure it out. Bare minimum here at this apartment. It could use a few touch ups. The AC in the bedroom needs to go! Time for a new one. Other than that I would love to stay here again. Tide low in morning and slamming the wall after 3 pm. Sitting outside staring at the water highly recommended with a glass of wine.
My sister and I had the most amazing time!! It was our first time to Hawaii and we awoke early each morning to catch every sunrise!! Words cannot describe how much we enjoyed our stay!! Lounging in the yard just watching the waves was so peaceful!! I hope to return to Oahu one day and will definitely be staying here! Mahalo!!
The property is cozy. No real frills. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioning in bedroom only. Place is kind of outdated but quiet. Looking for a quiet place close to the beach, this is it. No stove, just a hot plate. There is a coffee maker but you will have to provide your own coffee.
This is our 2nd time staying at this oceanfront property and we love it here. Great grass area right outside the sliding glass door where you can sit and enjoy the waves and ocean views.
The property was behind the art studio and it eliminated the road noise. It allowed us to enjoy the ocean sounds. Very little people activity on the ocean and that made for a very peaceful vacation. The host was very friendly and was responsive to our communication. Wish we could stay more than our 10 days, but alas we must return to the real world.
This is a very comfortable property that shares incredible views. Location gives easy access to less busy parts of the island. Lance is very responsive and our stay was wonderful!
Hauula is a quiet town, the property was very peaceful and relaxing. We went to the grocery store to store up some breakfast and snack items. This allowed us to relax while enjoying an ocean view whenever we werenât out touring. Lance, the owner, was very responsive to the one request we had. We would visit this location again when on Oâahu. Great bargain for location!!! Thank you!!!
Parking and initial entry was a little confusing, but host answered call and clarified. From then on it was smooth. A photo of the entry would have been helpful.
We had a wonderful experience. We were looking forsomething off the beaten path and we found it. The sunrises were so beautiful. We started every morning with a short yoga routine in the awesome back yard. The view is every bit as amazing (if not more) than the pictures promise. The quarters were very spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed being able to take a quick dip whenever we wanted in the ocean by simply stepping off the backyard into the water. Plenty of places to go within the immediate area. Great coffee stand just down the road. Crouching Lion restaurant just reopened and had a variety of top class foods (we are foodies and loved it). You could get anywhere on the island in no more than about 45 minutes or so. North Shire just right up the road. Shower had plenty of hot water. A/C only in the bedroom, so the remainder of the house could get a bit warm, but not terrible as the wind off the ocean would cool things enough. And the AC in the bedroom cooled room very quickly. We loved having the washer and dryer. Finally, when 83 was busy, it could be slightly tricky to get out of the parking lot. Hosts are terrific. They asked about any needs that we had. A stay. We will book this place again when we come back to Oahu.
It smells dank. The bedroom is claustrophobic. The main room walls, mat, and especially the upholstery is so ugly. On the positive side, you are steps from the ocean. You will be up to your ankles when you step in the Ocean. F
