This place is one to rent again great space for the family we took , kitchen had enough space the pool is perfect size outdoor seating and tv was a plus as well as the hottub we cant wait to go back
We came from Michigan to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary with all our kids, and this place was perfect! Do close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon forge, but we had pretty much everything we needed right in our rental cabin! Plenty of rooms, a theatre, our own private pool, and a hot tub outside! It was perfect! Will definitely book again, and tell others about it!
The air conditioner was broke and I contacted the company. They sent someone out and it took a day and half to get it fixed. We had to go buy fans so the children could get cool. When I asked about getting a refund I was told they would turn it over to management.
It was a great place to come back to after our adventures in the area. We were very comfortable there with plenty of space and many ways to amuse ourselves. Would definitely stay there again.
The property is beautiful!! Aqua Paradise is the cabin we stayed in and should not have been rented out. We made it work and had a good time. However, one of the bathrooms had a portion of the ceiling cut out around the sprinkler and was streaming water onto the floor. It was obvious work was in-process but the cabin was rented out to us anyway.
Accessibility was an issue for our older family members. Upon arrival my mother became unsteady on the rock walkway pulling up her suitcase, which caused her to fall and hit her face on the boulders. She scratched her nose, busted both of her lips and terribly bruised her chin. This caused her to not be comfortable going to and from the property and limited her vacation enjoyment. Another older family member who walks with a cane was also very intimidated by the uneven entrance from the car to the house. The stairs were too intimidating for them to enjoy any but the main floor. The air hockey table was not functioning correctly, the hot tub was broken and we had to call for repairs, bought batteries for the remote controls as they were dead, had leaking from the upper floor bathroom into the main floor, my cell phone service did not work and the âland lineâ had expired service and could not make calls without renewing a subscription. We made the best of our vacation but will probably choose a different property next time. If you or a family member going have any mobility issues this cabin would not be a first choice.
Beautiful place. Plenty of room for the 9 of us. A few things wrong when we arrived, but they were addressed immediately. We had a wonderful time & everyone was very comfortable. Would do it again. Thanks
We encountered several issues during our stay and contacted Eden Crest as the first few occured. We called the first day right after check in because 2 of the 3 deck chairs were broken and we requested replacements that never came. The next morning the Master bath had a huge leak from the ceiling, maintenance finally came 7 hrs later and said nothing could be done until after check out. The next items were noticed and not called in because of the lack of concern to have things fixed.
The fireplace in the master bedroom did not work, the toilet in the master bath stuck in the on position. The shower in Master bath leaked on the floor (needs to be cocked and I told maintenance about it when he came to look at the ceiling), The dishwasher did not clean the dishes, we had to rewash after each use. The sink in the kitchen was loose and moved around. The hot tub handle was completely broken in two and the knobs did not work. The scoreboard for the air hockey table was broken and ready to fall off.
As you can see there were many issues with our stay. Having never stayed at an Eden Crest Vacation Rental we were very disappointed. To make matters worse our neighbors who checked in the day after us were so loud in the evening and night that someone in the community called the police on them. The only view from this house is the street below and all the other homes. So, if youâre going to have a nice mountain view, this is not the place for you.
The Good: This property was perfect for the 12 adults in our party. Everyone was impressed how nice it was for each couple to have their own king bed, their own bathroom with enough room to be with everyone to play games or watch a movie in the theatre room but also enough space to be also be alone to shoot pool, swim in the pool or take a walk around the property.
The (not so) Bad: There was a small leak underneath the main level shower but the pleasant maintenance man came to look at it & determined the grout needed to be replaced.
The Ugly: The propane tank for the gas grill was empty but the gentleman who brought a tank that early Sunday afternoon BUT he was dressed for war with bears, wearing 2 hip holsters, a shoulder holster with a gun in it & a 15" knife in another holster. When asked about all the weapons, he made a statement about Teddy Roosevelt's gun policy!!!!????? We all agree with the right to carry, but as an employee of the resort where we should be made to feel safe, this was overkill, he could have left the tank outside the door if he was concerned for his safety. This was the only portion of our trip that we viewed as negative, but all other aspects of the property were amazing, we all had an amazing time & are planning to do it again next year!
We really enjoyed our stay here. I few things I would suggest bringing with you.
Toilet paper, paper towels, dish rags and dish towels. If you have little ones and stairs are an issue bring several of extra long baby gates.
We had a great time at Aqua Paradise. 13 family members that don't often get the chance to be together spent the week eating, drinking, playing games and just enjoying each other's company at this great rental.
Overall a very nice cabin and under development neighborhood. Easily accessible and close to downtown Gatlinburg. Bedrooms are all decent size and having attached bathrooms gives each group privacy. Enjoyed the pool, hot tub and other amenities. Overall avery nice experience and as other mentioned just a few minor things buts its typical wear and tear from being a full time vrbo property.
House was very nice. There were a few little issues, in need of maintenance (door knobs very loose, shower door falling off), hot tub would not heat the last night we were there. Kitchen was well supplied, plenty of towels, and nice decor. We had a very good time.
This house is beautiful, nicely decorated, and clean with room for a large group. The kitchen was well-stocked. There were drip and Keurig coffee makers. The beds were comfortable. Our kids loved the games. The house was convenient to all of the activities we had planned in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. My wife loved the fireplaces and large tub in the master bedroom. Other than the specific items mentioned below the house was absolutely great.
Below are the items worth noting about the house.
1. The house is located in a dense subdivision with houses only a few feet apart. The decks on the house look onto the house directly behind it. The hot tub is a few feet from the front door of the house behind. We didn't use any of the decks or hot tub as it was too awkward.
2. The internet and TV are satellite-based. They seemed to be correctly connected and working as intended, but the internet was unusable. You could connect to the WiFi, and maybe get a single web page to load after a few minutes but navigating a website or actually doing anything online such as work, social media, streaming video, email, etc. was not possible. There was also no cellular data service. We couldn't even pull up directions on our phones until we had driven back into Gatlinburg. The satellite TV also didn't work. You could pull up the guide on the TV and see what was supposed to be on, but if you clicked on a channel, it was just black. All the channels were the same. Again, everything appeared to be working correctly but was just not getting a strong enough signal.
3. The check in process was overly complicated. The property developer for the neighborhood owns many if not all of the houses. They have an elaborate system that includes emails, text messages, a website and a YouTube video you are supposed to watch. They won't send you the door code until it is time for you to check in, so if you are in an area with no reception (which is common in that area) you have to go to their offices to check in. Ultimately, we got the check in code and were able to go straight to the house but compared to the dozens of other houses we've rented it was unnecessarily complicated.
4. The pool water seemed really green. It was even smaller than expected, and we decided to just not use it. The multiple locks and alarms around the pool area were ridiculous as well.
We would not stay at this house again, mainly because of the internet and lack of privacy.
The house is super nice very well situated close to pigeon forge Gatlinburg thereâs only two things I personally didnât like but is not the house is mountains internet really bad inside the house
Couldnât get in the pool temperature inside was too cold and comforters have like a glue stain on them looks nasty
I stayed the floor on top of the pool I donât know if the others had same but honestly the house is amazing we had a great time
They didnât provide enough dish rags the washer and dryer took forever to wash and dry laundry and for a cabin that holds that many people there should be 2 sets of washer and dryers because people canât wash laundry the cabin was pretty just very plain needs to be decorated your in the smoky mountains after all
Overall, the spaces provided by the property were perfect for our combined families. There were a couple of disappointing issues. The DVD player in the Media Room did not work making that space just a room with a television. Also, the pool was heaving loaded with chlorine which had a slight impact on the younger children. We would rent the space again, just would hope that some of the minor issues would be addressed.
