I loved this property. It is very close to Deadwood, yet has a secluded feel. It has a classic cabin vibe with modern amenities. Just two of us stayed here, and it was perfect for us. I would definitely stay here again.
The cabin was clean and full of supplies. Had a great paito we enjoyed and grilled on in the evenings. Grat location just outside of the deadwood area.
Came to Deadwood for Deadweird and wanted to find a place where all us friends could stay together. This place was perfect! Its just far enough out of town that you feel the peace and joy of the Black Hills but close enough to town to be there very quickly and easily. We had a cab pick us up one night and pizza delivered another and no one had issue with that. The place was clean and cozy. It has all the perfect amenities for a weekend getaway with friends or a family. Would definitely recommend and hope to go back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dean and Teresaâs cabin. Itâs very well stocked for cooking and grilling. Our family enjoyed playing corn hole in the back yard and my boys loved exploring in the three acres behind the house. I would highly recommend staying here!!
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin, it was clean and full of supplies. It's warm and inviting and decorated perfect for a nice relaxing stay. The location is great, just outside of Deadwood and close to Sturgis. Great communication with the owners! There was plenty of parking, it was nice to have a garage to park our motorcycles in at night. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a convenient, clean and comfortable place to stay.
We were in Deadwood to race the ISOC National Snocross event. The cabin was the perfect location only a mile from the track and away from the hustle and bustle of town. The beds were amazing best sleep we have had on the race tour thus far! The shower was also amazing!! We will definitely be back !
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was well stocked. It was nice to have our hosts check in with us during our stay. Weâve stayed at other VRBO properties and this was the first time the owners checked in on us. It was nice to have a garage to park our Harley trikes in too. Very happy with the property.
Feels like staying at a friendâs cabin when they are away versus a dedicated rental. Lots of blankets, dishes, seating, personal items, etc. (Not ADA friendly with floor transitions throughout the home). Worked great for us!
I have never rented a cabin before until this one.. I booked this cabin for a mini birthday get away and i was absolutely stunned when we arrived! The location was perfect for a deadwood weekend..
When we arrived we were in awe at how beautiful the scenery was! The property was clean and very well cared for. The check in process was easy for someone who is inexperienced with b&b! Would highly recommend to anyone âșïž
Very nice property. It felt like being out in the woods even as close to Deadwood as it was. Very little gravel. Several rooms so that people can have privacy if wanted. Well furnished. We saw wild turkeys and deer during our stay as we used the back deck each evening. Easy communication with the owners. Would stay again.
This is our second year staying at this cabin. The communication with the owners was amazing. They responded right away to any questions or concerns we had. Everything worked as it should. It is only a couple minutes from downtown Deadwood which was an added bonus. We enjoyed the seclusion of the backyard every morning for coffee and evening for happy hour. We would highly recommend.
Expectations were high for a return trip to the Black Hills after many years of snowmobiling. Our Son and his Wife were equally excited as they had not been there. The lodging exceeded those expectations and then some. We rode trails for two days and went sightseeing the last day. We found it so comfortable inside and outside the lodge that we only went uptown one night to see the lights and check out a brewery. Whenever we return we will reach out to stay again! Thank you for sharing your Cabin!!!
Our vacation was not exactly what we were expecting due to a surprise snow storm that dumped a foot and a half of snow. Our plans of hiking and sight seeing became impossibilities, but this cabin was unbelievably comfortable, warm and homey. We enjoyed watching movies and playing board games with our 15 yr old son, stayed in and cooked in the well stocked kitchen, watched the wildlife (turkeys and deer) that wandered around the property. When we were able to get out, the cabin is just outside of Deadwood and an easy drive to Sturgis and Spearfish where we hit antique shops and breweries. Thank you so much for letting us use your beautiful cabin!
This is our third year staying at this property. Every year gets better. Very clean and comfortable. Privacy in the back yard to enjoy the fire pit during happy hour and the morning coffee. We had a couple really warm days and the AC kept up just fine. Also had a chance of hail so the garage was a blessing. The owners were in town so we were blessed to meet them. Wonderful people that truly care about our experience. Easy check in and no hassle to check out. Already planning for next year. âïžâïžâïžâïžâïžâïžâïžâïžâïžâïž
We live in Tabor, SD home of Tabor Czech Days, and have been married for 30 years. We have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. We have lived in the southeast South Dakota area all of our lives and appreciate the quiet life that SD offers.
Our family enjoys spending time in the Black Hills of SD and in 2016, we began the search for a vacation home/rental property, We are looking forward to creating memories with our children, family and friends with this property. We fell in love with the property when we stepped into the living space with the cozy appeal of the logs. The original cabin was built in 1930 with modern amenities added to it. We also enjoy the 3.7 acres and being able to hike through the property. Sitting on the deck, listening to the mountain winds has always been our dream. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
The log living space is the cozy atmosphere we were looking for, as well as the over-sized deck. Sitting out on the deck having coffee in the morning as the wind blows through the pines trees is one of the best parts of this property. Even though the property feels secluded we like that it is very close to Hwy 14 into Deadwood or Sturgis making short trips into a town very convenient.
