The property is beautiful and we enjoyed it, but communication with the property owner was challenging. Did not receive the property book until two days before check in. Also, there are two listings for this property on VRBO, this one shows it as a three bedroom and the other one shows it as a two bedroom. When I asked the property owner about their not being a third bedroom as shown in this listing, as well I indicated four lights were burnt out she was very short and not helpful indicating the property was priced as a two bedroom and we should change the light bulbs ourselves. As well, the sheets are stained as well as many of the towels. It didnât appear anyone had been in the property for some time as there were cobwebs all over. It would have been helpful to have the property refreshed prior to our visit. The âfutonsâ in the TV room are just mats, there is no futon bed. The property and location are beautiful, but details are missing.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was really charming and well equipped. Perfect for a quiet get away during all the wine touring! Upon arrival we were happy to discover that there were no close neighbours and there was a view of the lake. The highway is nearby but it was quiet and the owners added bonuses to make it comfortable. We appreciated the nicely supplied kitchen and bar, great for special meals, and the bocce set! The owners were quick to respond to questions during the reservation process and stay.
Weâve rented this beautiful house for two weeks and loved it so much. This stylish house has everything for comfortable stay. Loved cooking and spending time in the house - lots of light, the kitchen has everything you might need. Nice territory, nice neighborhood. Close commute to several beaches at Skaha and Okanagan lakes. Clear and detailed housekeeping instructions. Overall loved our time there and would definitely love to come back!
Our vacation in Kaleden truly exceeded our expectations! The property was conveniently located close enough to all necessary amenities, but far enough away for privacy. The renovated home was one-of-a-kind and very comfortable to stay in. Everything we needed during our stay was provided for in this home. The home owners, Sarah and Murray (and hospitality manager Jordan) were extremely efficient in responding to all of our inquiries and their hospitality was top-notch. This is a property that we very much enjoyed and would definitely recommend to others. We hope to stay here again one day!

We are a chef and editor couple from Vancouver, BC, Canada. We have two young daughters. We love architecture, nature, travel, food and wine. When in the Okanagan we go bike riding, trout fishing, rafting, shopping at the famous Farmer's market, attend the local rodeos, go hiking in Cathedral Lakes and spend lots of downtime wine tasting and swimming at the local beach.
This property was formerly a derelict lama farm which we rescued and completely refurbished and converted to an organic vineyard. Because it was virgin land, formerly an animal pasture, we are able to grow organicaly.. The slope of the vineyard toward Skaha Lake with cool breezes means it is the perfect site for our grape of choice,, Pinot Noir.
Saha Lake and beach are a favourite of locals, not tourists, so are much quieter and no loud Jet Skis. There is a boat launch and a park with tennis, basketball, soccer, shaded picnic area, fire pits, and connection to the Kettle Valley paved walking/biking/horseback riding trail. One local secret is Linden Gardens with its garden cafe from one of the area's best young chefs.
